If you think you can stomach the sick side of science, read on as we dig up the dirt on the world of plants. Find out when a fruit is really a vegetable, how plants keep us from suffocating and what stops trees from falling over. The book includes fact files, quirky quizzes and teacher tests.

These arc official facts. Scientific tests have proved that chewing garlic is good for you. And as long as you’ve got your health, who needs friends? *ngakak
So there you have it. Where would we be without plants? We eat them, we breathe their gases, and we take them as medicines when we feel sick. And we can make bridges and homes and run cars and make clothes and books and ... well, everything.
Humans (and every animal) need plants in order to stay alive. But many vegetables can do very nicely thank you without any of us. Plants can make everything they' need to grow and reproduce with just a few basic ingredients.

This was a funny book. It is really for young children and it is an introduction to botanology, but done with a really nice way: the scary one. Plants can be vicious and deadly and mean. Brilliant way to make a rather boring science interesting for children!
All of the Horrible Science books have one horrible thing in common: they have quizzes, but they are for your teacher. The number of points the teacher gets tells you your teacher's level. In some books, if the teacher's level is very high, then ask the teacher if he/she has this book. If the teacher has the book, then THROW THE BOOK AWAY(don't). Sometimes there are levels that not even teachers can get to. Some plants eat insects. The insects are digested alive. But how do the plants get the insects inside? On the outside, there is food that attracts the insects to eat. When the insects have eaten the food, it has slipped into the digestive juice of the plant.

This book is about the 'horrible' information about plants. It is full of the details about plant cells, and some plants that eat bugs. I learned that sometimes plants eat each other, and plants use very interesting ways to transport their seeds. Some cling onto animals, and some fly in the wind using 'parachutes' like dandelion seeds. I enjoyed this book because I like biology and I learned a lot from this book. I recommend this book to those who like science as well.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooo Funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn contains a lot of facts about plants but NOT boring like other science books... BETTER READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
