I enjoy reading the Bible each day, and I try to read it through at least twice per year. I really don't think it can ever be read or studied enough, because we will never know all there is to know of Scripture. It helps me to stay grounded in my faith, and the Bible helps me stay on the right path for my life.

An excellent study Bible. Lots of interesting information to go along with the text including biographical information about the characters. It also has very good references tying verses together and a great collection of maps.

This is the bible I use when I need to reference maps and history and not just text but uncommon knowledge of the time the stories take place. I cannot recommend this one enough.

This is the one I use as Church since it let me know what a verse is talking about. Only read KJV bibles!

The best Study Bibles by far, in truth Tyndale is one of the only few bible I trust that sticks to tradition but optimizes the bible. Excellent bible for visual readers, and readers that easily become bored by all the black and white books out there. Full Color just as promised, filled with Chronological Charts and Biblical organized according to historical events of the bible. This bible is far more superior than any other bible out there, that the reason it's so pricey, plus there's commentary and broken down description of understanding events, philosophy, and biblical figures. In addition, direction is more precise in clear and Charismatic direction at the end of the bible to fill your strength of the word. I love this bible! There's no better King James Version study bible out there that can top this one. Every person of faith looks at my bible with a little envy wondering and asking where I've brought it from, trust me when have this bible in particular in your possession, they'll do the same to you! You want become bored because it's so visual and that worth investing in because many bible's are only black and white, which in science matters tires your eyes because the brain becomes fatigue with all the other black-white books you read. There's only one Problem and that is the Hardcover is more easy in tearing, so I recommend getting the Leatherbound.

My Review:
The quality of the Life Application notes is clear. I like the layout of this Bible. I like Biblical history so I was interested in having a chronological study of the Bible.
The ten historical eras outlined, along with the books of the Bible you will find in each, are Beginnings undated-2100 BC, God's Chosen Family 2100-1800 BC, Birth of Israel 1800-1406 BC, Possessing the Land 1406-1050 BC, United Monarchy 1050-930 BC, Splintered Nation 930-586 BC, Exile 586-538 BC, Return & Diaspora 538-6 BC, Jesus Christ 6 BC-AD 30, The Church Ad 30-present.
At the top of each page is highlighted of the section you are reading. In the front of the Bible is an overview of what is covered within each time period of the ten sections. The timeline in the front shows world events and biblical events happening during these eras. Scriptures are in paragraph form and numbered, with headings in color coding of the era. The table of contents in front gives you easy access to find the Scriptures you are looking for with the page they are on.
Example: Psalm 139. Theme: God is all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere present. God knows us, God is with us, and his greatest gift is to allow us to know him. Author: David. Beneath are footnotes. Ps. 139:1-5 Sometimes we don't let people get ot know us completely because we are afraid they will discover something about us that they won't like. But God already knows everything about us, even to the number of hairs on our heads (Matt 10;30), and still he accepts and loves us. God is with us through every situation, in every trial—protecting, loving, guiding. He knows and loves us completely.
There are features in this Bible that help explain God’s story in a new or unique way.
I find I will use this Bible as a devotional too. For instance, God's Chosen Family 2100-1800 BC. A. The Story of Abraham 1. God Promises a Nation to Abram. Gives an overview of Abraham:
Abraham. We all know that there are consequences to our actions. What we do can set into motion a series of events that may continue long after we're gone. Unfortunately, when we are making a decision, most of us think only of the immediate consequences. These are often misleading because they are short-lived.
Abraham had a choice to make. His decision was between setting out with his family and belongings for parts unknown or staying right where he was. He had to decide between the security of what he already had and the uncertainty of traveling under God's direction. All he had to go on was God's promise to guide and bless him. Abraham could hardly have been expected to visualize how much of the future was resting on his decision of whether to go or stay, but his obedience affected the history of the world. His decision to follow God set into motion the development of the nation that God would eventually use as his own when he visited earth himself. When Jesus Christ came to earth, God's promise was fulfilled; through Abraham the entire world was blessed.
You probably don't know the long-term effects of most decisions you make. But shouldn't the fact that there will be long-term results cause you to think carefully and seek God's guidance as you make choices and take action today?
Lists Abraham's strengths and accomplishments, weakness and mistake, lessons from his life, vital statistics, key verse, and where he is mentioned in the Bible.
There are helps to apply Scripture to your life.
Taking the Step to Application: For the Bible to really make a difference in our lives, we need to 1) receive the message personally, 2) reflect on our lives and identify what needs to change as a result of God's Word, and 3) lay out a plan to make that change.
There is a Christian Worker's Resource section, a Book-by-Book overview and outline with theme, explanation, and importance; a Master Index, a dictionary/concordance, and full color maps.

This is a really lovely, inspiring, interesting bible to use - can't recommend it highly enough.

I really like this study Bible because it goes through the historical context - which has helped me understand much more in my reading. It has profiles of many people in the Bible, and helps you draw lessons from the reading as you go along.
