This was my very first book to read by Camika Spencer. I must say I was impress with the plot and storyline. It captured me right off the first few pages. It reminded me of my own personal work struggles and hit home with the office politics. I had no idea what I read was gonna unfold the way that it did. It was REALLY good. I highly recommend others read this book and I plan on reading more of her books.

The only compliant that I have is I came across quite a bit of typos. Some I know were because of the character and there were some that were just errors. That’s the only reason I said 4 stars. It’s still a wonderful book though.

Before the "Lipstick Jungle", the humorous politics of the television series "The Office", one of my reads, "Cubicles" came along. This novel is over 10 years old and challenges what your boundaries and beliefs about how far you would go to climb the corporate ladder. This is a little known gem, but it resonated with me. A must read for folks in the "Cubicle Jungle"...folks who've never been there, need not apply.

I thought the Cubicles was an okay book with some entertainment value. There was also some revelations about life and work place tribulation for me. It's not a book I would highly recommend.

I was a little surprised at the way the sub-plots turned out. Two of them a bit sad, still, I guess a bit of reality is okay.
