சுஜாதா என்ற பெயர் தமிழ் வாசகர்கள் மறக்க முடியாதது. அகில உலகிலும் பரவி நிற்பது. தான் சுஜாதாவுடன் பழகிய நாட்களிலிருந்து சில நினைவு அலைகளைத் தொகுத்துக் கொடுத்துள்ளார் நூல் ஆசிரியர் அமுதவன். சுஜாதா ஆரம்ப நாட்களில் டெல்லியிலிருந்து பெங்களூருவுக்கு வந்து சேர்ந்தது முதல் இறுதி வரை அவருடன் நெருங்கிப் பழகியதில் இருந்து தான் கண்ட சுஜாதாவை பிரதிபலித்து இருக்கிறார். மேடைப் பேச்சுக்குக் கூச்சப்பட்டது, இருந்தாலும் மேடைப் பேச்சில் தனக்கே உரிய கிண்டலைப் புகுத்தியது, ஏதோ கற்பனையில் உதித்ததை மாத்திரமே எழுதி விடாமல், க்ரைம் நாவலுக்காக மெனக்கெட்டு விஷயங்களைச் சேகரித்து அதைப் பாந்தமாகப் பொருந்தும் விதத்தில் புகுத்துவது, உதாரணமாக புல்லட் காயத்தில் மேல் தோல் புல்லட் சூட்டில் பொசுங்கி இருப்பது போன்ற நுணுக்கமான விஷயங்கள் சுஜாதாவிடம் இருந்ததை நூல் ஆசிரியர் தன் பார்வையில் அழகாக வெளிப்படுத்தி இருக்கிறார். அவர் எவ்வாறு இளம் எழுத்தாளர்களை ஊக்குவித்தார், அவர்களுக்கு உதவிபுரிந்தார் என்பதை எழுதியுள்ளார். அது உண்மையாகவே ஒரு பொக்கிஷமான குணம்தான். தன்னுடைய ஆற்றலில் அளப்பரிய நம்பிக்கை இருப்பவர்களுக்குத்தான் அந்த குணம் வாய்க்கும். அது சுஜாதாவுக்கு இருந்திருக்கிறது. சினிமாவில் சுஜாதா ஈடுபட்டதைப் பற்றி தமிழ் வாசகர்கள் நன்கு அறிவார்கள். ஆனாலும், ஒரு படத்தில் அவர் நடித்தது, அவரை நடிக்க வைக்க இவர்கள் அவரிடம் சொல்லாமலேயே கூட்டி வந்தது; ஒரு திரைப்படத்தை டைரக்ட் செய்யச் சொல்லி அவர் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து ஒரு தயாரிப்பாளர் அவரை வற்புறுத்தியது ஆகியவை வாசகர்கள் அறியாதது. இந்தப் புது விஷயங்கள் வாசகர்களுக்கு விருந்து! சுஜாதாவின் எழுத்துகளை மட்டுமே படித்த வாசகர்களுக்கு எழுத்துகளையும் தாண்டி இப்படிப்பட்ட அவருடைய வாழ்க்கை சம்பவங்கள் சுவையாக இருக்கும் என்பதும் அவருடைய மென்மையை உணர்வார்கள் என்பதும் நிச்சயம்.

Sujatha fans will love this memoir by Amudhavan. The vulnerable side of Sujatha during the "Ratham ore niram" controversy is portrayed well. The genius of Sujatha is evident when Amudhavan recounts how Sujatha went gaga over A.R.Rahman and predicted his stardom after listening to "Roja" songs. The multidimensional personality of Sujatha is beautifully captured in words. After all the reams that Sujatha has written , it surprises me that a book on him could reveal new facets of the man. A good read.

One cannot call this biography - but a different attempt on a person by one of the close accomplice. I have till now read only articles about a person, but a book remembering all the experiences of a person with a legendary writer is something that I have not known much. If the person being remembered is one of your all time favorite there is not need to explain the reason for considering it to read.

Not only books of sujatha, but a book of sujatha can also go in fast pace. Not all experiences can be shared with reader maintaining the interest while ur area of concentration is one person. But some how the author acheiver's it in style which is commendable effort. The author has not gone too dip and as well has not shared information that everyone knows, he has balanced it out well.

Information on sujatha sir's general attitude, pala pazham story, his close experience with different cinema celebrities, his general vulnerability in the final days handled with graceful thought, his katradhum petradhum essay before operation were all great information for a fan like me. Information on how he reads, reading genre and his interaction with new writers were a nice to hear stories of sujatha sir.

If you are a sujatha fan, again one more must read. If you are interested on a intellectual writers life experience then the book is for you. If you are sujathas hater then leave the book from reaching your hand.

Being a sujatha fan, was very much interested to read about sujatha. He lived his life morally good and was very elegant and down to earth person. After knowing more about him, was shocked how a person cannot be greedy at all. Any sujatha book you read, you will surely get many more references for the good books you can try reading, sujatha fans will surely understand what I mean. In his stories, atleast there will be a character or narrative that says about some book. Knowing more about sujatha is intriguing and motivates me a lot to read many many books in my lifetime. He s always been inspirational to the tamil readers. Author amudhavan has been with him for many years and felt he might be the right person to know about sujatha other than his family members. Great read for sujatha fans like me !

This book is a collection of interesting and important incidents from the life of the world renown writer Rangarajan (a) Sujatha. With every page I turned I was more intrigued. An interesting book.
