Just months after Shannon's homecoming, she finds readjusting to life at home is not as easy as she anticipated. A new wave of guilt crashes over her as her family learns that her encounter with Dylan Snider was anything but consensual. Complicating matters is Matt Bolling. The former missionary kid turned preacher is more than interested in her, but she is certain after her months as a prodigal, Matt is out of her league. With her cancer gone and retired from teaching, Bobbi struggles to find purpose beyond caring for her family. When she proposes taking over Brad's mission, that touches off an unforeseen conflict with her husband. Chuck's quest for justice unexpectedly forces him to reexamine his definitions of forgiveness and grace when events demand that he seek it from and offer it to the unlikeliest people.

Paula on writing-
"So many people question that Scripture is relevant, that it has the answers for us in this day and age, that it can speak to the deepest cries of our hearts.

I believe God's word IS relevant, it DOES have the answers for us even in this day and age and it absolutely CAN speak to the deepest cries of our hearts.

I write to demonstrate that."

Loved the series

Started with the first book in the series, realized I was hooked from the first page. I liked that for the Molinsky family it was real life situations and true tests of their faith in God. I laughed, cried and even spent v time binge reading so I didn't miss anything. Sorry to see this does come to an end.

Need to read all four

Good clean books. Scripture quoted regularly and followed. Large amount of tissue a must at least for me. Very good.

Where do I start this review? What a wonderful final book to the Covenant of Trust series. Once again Paula Wiseman has written a rich and believeable story, showing so much depth and understanding of both God and human beings. Should anyone ever need an explanation of the Grace of God, then this book is full of examples. In fact the theme of this whole series of books could really be said to be God's amazing grace as demonstrated through the Molinsky family.

Sanction follows on immediately from where Precedent left off, and mainly deals with Shannon's experiences in that book. On the one hand the story follows Shannon herself as she tries to come to terms with what happened, the consequences, and how she can possibly hope to move on with her life. On the other hand the story deals with Chuck and his working through and coming to terms with what has happened to his daughter. We also see Jack maturing into a fantastic, sweet and godly young man. (I would love to see another book picking his story up further.)

I thought that the ending to Contingency was amazing, but the ending to this book was incredible. Once again, for someone who rarely cries when reading books, I was in tears over this one. I think that it goes to show what a gifted writer Mrs Wiseman is as I've cried over three of the four books in this series!

I recommend this series so much. I've read the four books back-to-back while away on holiday. I'm feeling rather bereft now and don't really know what I could possibly read next. I have the first book in the Foundations series, which I've read. Once I get home I'll be downloading the other two, especially as I enjoyed the crossover of the Bolling family appearing in Sanction. Paula Wiseman has firmly taken her place on my list of favourite authors.

Another great read!!!!

The final book of the 4 book series and I loved it. Thank you Paula for a series so aptly teaching us what the love, grace, forgiveness and compassion of God looks like from God to man and man to man!
He loves us flaws and all....this book shows that we are ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED!
