Cooking Light is an American food and lifestyle magazine founded in 1987. Each month, the magazine includes approximately 100 original recipes as well as editorial content covering food trends, fitness tips, and other culinary and health-related news.
I've never subscribed to Cooking Light magazine but was excited to find this cookbook for only $1 at a library book sale. The book is basically all of the magazines from the year, compiled into one big book. I'm always looking for healthy meals to cook and I will have a ton of options here. For the sake of ease of use I wish that the recipes were compiled by type (breakfast, salads, main dishes, soups, etc.), but there is a good index at the back of the book and I suppose that people who subscribe to the magazine are happy to still have the issues in more-or-less their original form. Having the recipes divided up by the month of their original issue does make it easier to cook seasonally, too. So I guess my complaint isn't much of a complaint after all!
