Five Stars for this one. 5.0 out of 5 stars Finding Faith, April 4, 2011 By Linda H. Maryland - See all my reviewsThis review is Finding Faith (Kindle Edition) Finding Faith is one of my favorites of Dixie's books. It is a captivating story which puts life in perspective. Besides the romance of the story there is heartbreak, intrigue and renewal. It is a book you won't be able to put down!! Finding Faith is a wonderful story with very believable charaters. I highly recommend it. Rachel Faith Inman Hargrave seems to have it all, friends, a successful decorating business and a wealthy, socially prominent new husband who adores her. When Oliver Hargrave dies just months after their marriage, she is devastated and embittered. She retreats to their South Carolina beachfront home to try to find some peace of mind and search for her lost faith. Suddenly, Oliver’s name is embroiled in scandal. As she fights to clear his name, Faith must face the wrath of a hostile stepdaughter, a public trial, overwhelming legal fees and the failure of her own business. On her journey from despair, Faith encounters tall, handsome and mysteriously private, Marcus Hall. Though Marcus becomes Faith’s confidant, his personal life remains shrouded. Slowly, their friendship grows into love. But, as Marcus’ secret is revealed, it creates not only a rift within his family but an impediment to his and Faith’s future.
Rachel Faith Hargrave was very happily married to Oliver and seemed to have the perfect life. You would think that would be the end of the story. However, when Oliver died the story didn't end there. It was heartbreaking when she found that Oliver wasn't all she thought him to be. The story is full of suspense and twists and turns so that you have no idea what will happen next. A very good read that will take you from happiness to heartbreak and back to happiness with Marcus who is all that Oliver wasn't.
FINDING FAITH by Dixie Land gets you into the story from page 1 and you can't wait to see what is around the corner. Only months after marrying Oliver, the shock of him dying and the complications of the spoiled step-child, Julian, gives you so much mystery. But then there is the trial, the loss of her business. Can she ever find happiness? You won't be able to put the book down for there is a surprise ending, that I would not have guessed. I highly recommend Dixie Land's books
