From Fantasy To Forever

For a girl like Amy Wilkes, it's a dream come true! While working at her uncle's health spa, the wholesome beauty is "discovered" by producer Martin Tafft, who asks her to star in his upcoming epic, "One and Only." Whisked off to the set in California, Amy is transformed into a glamorous starlet and thrust in front of her new leading man, rugged, oh-so-handsome cowboy Charlie Fox, another "natural" who's got some big dreams of his own. On screen, sparks fly between Amy and Charlie, as they struggle to learn how to act like people they're not. Off screen, they're caught up in a real-life drama, in which both are tempted—and tested—in more ways than one.

I actually didn't really enjoy this book. That's surprising because the setting -- old Hollywood film making -- is fascinating. A good novel can be made about this, I'm sure. However, I have kept the book because I've collected the rest of the series and intend to read them as well. If those books are just as disappointing, I will be donating the lot to the library or used book store.

It's unfortunate that the plot and characters are simplistic because this setting could be really interesting for a romance.

This writing style in the book was a little childish, but the plot was decent. However, there were hints in the story that I should have put it down earlier than I did. The book has explicit sex in it which for me is a bad thing.

Interesting book

This was certainly a different read! I had fun reading it. It was quite interesting and unusual but a really good love story. It's also an an interesting psychological study.
