Something That Matters, the second anthology from the Wednesday Writers of Oakland, California explores life's second acts and benefits the new breast health center at the Alta Bates Summit Hospital. The collection showcases midlife women's true tales about everything from sex, love, and longtime marriage to divorce and widowhood, from raising and launching children to redefining work lives and caring for aging parents while savoring life's pleasures along the way.
This collection stories, includes my story titled "Juneau" about showing my teenage son the city where his father once worked. Through writing the story I came to terms with my decision to leave broadcast journalism and start a family. No regrets? Maybe a few.
