A good beginning
I'd highly recommend to someone who has never held a Kindle. I found it a bit lacking in the nitty-gritty details but overall, it was worth the time to read and study.

Good overview for Kindle HP
Good product. Covers the basics. Chose it to research issue with my new Kindle SD card port. But unfortunately found no help in the book. Again for the basics on the various features of the Kindle this is a good start and book to read.

Boring no new info
glad I could borrow and not pay. it is a worthless book. There was not one useful bit of information gleaned from this so called guide.

It is very helpful!
I had my Kindle a while before I got this book, so many things I was able to discover for myself, but one can always learn more and this book was a help in doing that. The information is ordered and consise, but to give a heads up to the author, many of the examples used in the book are different then my device. I have a Kindle Fire HD 10 (7th generation), perhaps the examples of the screens, etc. were based on an older model. In the future editions it would be good, when appropriate to show the difference between the various models. That is a minor criticism, I still was able to learn from it.

Good 👍 book to read to get to know your Kindle Fire HD. 😉 Has a lot of great 👍information to get to know your kindle. Especially many ways to learn how you can down load music & books. I recommend this Manual to all Kindle Fire HD owners.🙂

A fast read. It helped me. It is a 2015 book and I have a newer 2017 Fire HD, but it did help me to better understand how to use it. I'm new to Kindles. My Samsung Galaxy Tablet could hold only a hundred or so mobi files, this Kindle holds my entire library of several thousand books. Battery life is great compared to my Galaxy tablet.
I thumbed through this book a second time to review some highlights.

Not Quite a Five Star
I was expecting more than what I've already learned from the manual that came with the Kindle Fire. For instance, this device won't allow me to download the Nook reader app from Google, and it's not available at Amazon's app store. Now, I have to go to another tablet to read the books I've purchased over the years from Barnes & Noble. All in all, though this book may be used to supplement the manual that comes with the Kindle Fire HD.

Good stuff but it would be even better if he put a picture of any icon he is talking about when discussing how to use the icons. Overall easy to follow and makes sense. Cheap enough and useful to pop back to at a later date to clarify a topic..
4 stars given as I think there should be pictures of icons that are discussed. I think to much detail required before I can post my review, I end up having to waffle.

A very good primer.
Good book of one is really unfamiliar with the concept. Most, if not all the information is readily available on the internet or just talk with an eager friend or relative. If one wants a book it is a fine one along with the for Dummies. The help for issues section n the back is a good and handy reference. One additional thing I liked about the book was that it confirmed what I already knew and how to do it.

Not really sufficient for someone who is new to Amazon products
Basically too short and not enough covered. Doesn't cover basic stuff like navigating books you buy on Amazon or even efficient use of keyboard. For examp!e when edging is there an easy way to get cursor in the correct place. When I'm reading where on a teen do I two to get option s for now it looks of move between chapters. I think it assumes you have upgraded from a kindle

Great if you just got your kindle and want to learn the basics. Not great if you think this book will show you shortcuts and tricks. Not worth it in my mind.
There are better books around for the kindle. If not online, then at your local library. Sorry, but this book is for kindle beginners.

The Kindle Fire is awesome.
I really enjoy the Kindle Fire over having an Android device. The fact that this is really versatile and having HD and watching videos, who could ask for a better picture from a handheld device. Pretty happy with this device. I would recommend this to everyone...

Made for the Non-Computer Savvy
Reads like most basic instruction guide. Great for the price, but the title completely oversells it. I had figured out nearly everything about my Kindle in a day and this taught me only how to use the cloud better. I was hoping for a bit more and will use KindleUnlimited to find a better book.

Mostly into a regular user would know, some helpful skinny on cloud storage.
If there were star quality tips, I would have gone five stars. As it was, I did learn a bit about "borrowing" books on my Kindle. Also, the security tips were welcome. Slso, the detail about USB transfers and cloud storage were good. Handling music was another helpful section.

Learned .ore then I thought I would!
This is a great short read I learned a few things I didn't know and updated my memory on other topics. It's a great little book to own, you can go back to reference things you forget. I will be purchasing this , well worth .99¢ book.

Good Book
This is an easy to follow guide on the Kindle Fire HD. I have a better understanding of the limitations of my Fire HD. I would have liked to see some pictures of some of the menu’s being described but it was easy enough to use my Fire HD to figure out what menus were being discussed

GOOD OVERVIEW!
I found the book very encouraging as much of what it said, I had worked out for myself. Probably would have been more useful if I found this book earlier on in my Kindle experience. It was flattering to find out how much I had already worked out for myself. Still a good read.

Yes, it hit the mark of minimum requirement for the designation "user guide", but it's more an explanation of how a tablet works rather than any in-depth exploration of ways to get creative with tablet use. Best tip in it was to download Officesuite.

Very easy to understand. Well written and good illustrations. I'm a novice with the new updated Kindle Fire and in my late 70's so will probably stick to the basics. I love the camera and looking forward to using it.

Cool Introduction
This book is a great introductory read for a new Kindle user and a decent refresher for veterans. There won't be any mind blowing tricks but you will be able to navigate through your Kindle Fire more efficiently.

Still couldn't get ITunes music converted to right format.
The basics are explained well. This is a good introduction to the reader. I recommend a more thorough book for transferring music & photos.

It's a bit outdated for my kindle fire HD 8.
For example, I can't find HDMI connector on my device. However, if you are new to tablet and want to know Amazon service built in, you may still find it useful.

For a "complete user guide," this book was pretty basic. It really didn't tell me anything about the Kindle Fire that I hadn't figured out with a couple weeks of use.
At least it's a short book. You won't waste a lot of time reading it.

The manual
This was written so that even I could understand it. My original kindle final but the dust. I could no longer charge it because the charger would just wiggle around in the kindle. It was the first one that came out so I got my monies worth. This one is great.
