Ideale per prepararsi per il CCNP Switch 300-115, ma necessità di revisione.

Ho comprato questo libro per evitare di leggere interamente la corposa guida ufficiale Cisco per l'esame CCNP Switch 300-115, la quale riporta molto più dettaglio di quanto necessario per passare l'esame. Come prima cosa descrivo perché per me il volume è da 3,5/4 stelle e non 5:
- qualità stampa: il prezzo è abbastanza elevato considerando la qualità di stampa, aspetto comunque trascurabile
- errori: sono presenti errori che necessiterebbero una revisione, alcuni banali che non dovrebbero sfuggire ad una rilettura pre-stampa (es: in un frammento dove l'autore riporta un comando con il relativo output, per 2 volte sbaglia a digitare il comando, e non è sicuramente un modo per insegnare qualcosa, visto che è proprio un errore di scrittura di una parola)
- non ritengo il libro sufficiente a coprire tutto dell'esame, il mio consiglio è di integrarlo leggendo alcuni frammenti anche sulla guida ufficiale

Questo è il modo in cui ho affrontato la preparazione dell'esame:
1) lettura completa di questo libro evidenziando le parti fondamentali
2) seconda lettura del libro, questa volta andando più veloci grazie alle evidenziazioni, cercando di memorizzare quanto più possibile
3) sperimentazione su lab virtuale con EVE-NG per fissare alcuni concetti che abitualmente non utilizzo al lavoro, come VTP e DTP, e per sperimentare con Spannin Tree e feature relative
4) visione video corso INE (questo come ripasso, alla fine non ho appreso cose nuove)
5) terza rilettura libro con a fianco il volume ufficiale Cisco per comprendere al meglio alcuni concetti trascurati nel libro o per rivedere alla fine di ogni capitolo il sommario dei comandi relativi alle varie feature spiegate nei capitoli. Consiglio anche i quiz di inizio capitolo sulla guida ufficiale, per vedere dove si è carenti anche dopo aver letto il volume di Bryant.

Appena finita la terza rilettura ho dato l'esame e l'ho passato al primo colpo, quindi posso dire che la preparazione qui sopra è andata bene :)
