Yeah, this is not for me…

The first thing I noticed about him was the tips of his bottom two canine teeth. They protruded from his mouth and pressed into the thick mustache that covered his upper lip underneath a wide nose.

description

The hairs on his chin hung down about six inches into a point like a billy goat. He had two pointy horns on top of his head, about three inches tall and ivory white in color.

description

His entire body was covered in honeybrown fur, though it was thickest on his chest and stomach where it was a slightly darker shade than the rest of his fur.

Holding onto a fistful of my hair, he pushed my face into his furry armpit. I moaned wantonly, and inhaled deeply to breathe in his spicy scent. He flipped me onto my belly and rubbed his body all over my back.

description

I sprayed my load over and over onto my belly as Bastian erupted like a geyser, covering me from forehead to belly with ropes and pools of his thick, pearly seed.

3.2 Stars for a fun m-preg - a sweet trifle...

Yes, it's true. I just read a sweet sci-fi fantacy with a m-preg topic! I just need to learn more (..more than zero actually) about this strange "m-preg-thing" now. After two fun tentacle-love romances, and a lot of other strange reads in this wonderful world of M/M books, was I prepared for this odd topic as well.

And how lucky that I dared to take a chance. This was a charming and sweet sci-fi. Right now feels actually a male pregnancy mostly practical and simply cute.

~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~

Devin McSmith is working at Earth's Spaceport Prime but wish he was working at one of the spaceships instead. He always dreamed about to go out in space but as the short and tiny guy he is he didn't make it as a spaceship worker. One day he meets Bastian Drago, a tall, manly, Degan species from the planet Dega. They instantly feel an deep attraction for each other and soon an sweet love affair starts.

Bastian was just visiting Earth for a secret mission and the day after their budding love led to an high lovemaking peak disappears Bastian without a trace. Devin is beside himself with worry and grief and really soon is also his, earlier so flat (male) stomach, starting to slowly bulge more and more...
“Well, congratulations are in order. You're having a baby.”

Devin wonder of course if he ever will see his beloved alien mate again. Then some malicious scientists appeared and eventually also relatives of Bastian. The adventure begins...
‘Well, at least I now had a technical name for my mutation: spontaneous womb generation. How romantic.’

There was a few tough heartbreaking moments but also a lot of funny thoughts about to be pregnant. A belly that become hairy and itchy, large appetite, a period of nausea and a waddling walk style. ~ And how in heaven's sake, should their quickly growing baby be born? Heard of a male birthing path?
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

“Oh, I see how you are now. You want me barefoot and pregnant.”
“Yes.”
“Chauvinist.”
“Yes.”
He wasn't even going to deny it. Of course. Rather than being offended, I just couldn't help but laugh.’

This is a really cute, cozy and light-hearted story . Bastian is big, muscular, tall, hairy and have small delicate horns on his head. Maybe a bit ugly - but oh how I loved him. A large shaggy sweetheart. Devian is the typical cute, fun and sensitive gay guy you want to take care of and just hug. ~ Quite odd, weird, yet a so marvelously sweet M/M couple. I smiled and cooed for their family happiness and tender love.

~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~<>~

The Degan Incident started really well but dropped in both speed and excitement towards the end. Either way it was a bit sugar sweet but still an enjoyable read. ~ ...a sweet for the moment story.

I LIKE - more nice than cheeky..

Valeu minhas horas lendo. Será que os outros livros são bons? Darei uma olhada nos outros tbm.

Schmoopy gay porn.

Not often you see this particular melange of unvarnished sex and sugary sweet emotions. But, that's the tone of this soulmates' story. Devin is a small, orphaned human working the Space Port on Earth when he meets Bastian, a giant furry Degan.

He sort of reminds me of this:

Or maybe a bipedal mashup with this:

Though, that could just be the name. Any which way, Degans are an ancient race of large ferocious furry bipeds with limited contact with humans. But for Devin and Bastian the pull is instantaneous, and there's a surprise that happens during their connection.

Suddenly, all the flowers and friskiness is tossed aside as the intrigue ensues. A thriller of galactic proportions begins and every thing from advance interrogation *cough* torture*cough* to spaceship battles occur. True love can't be denied.

It's imperfect, but for a simple escapist read it works.

Bastian Drago:“Do not apologize for them. Humans have a history of not being very tolerant of others who are different.”
Devin McSmith: “I suppose so. I’d like to think it is getting better. As a species, we’ve done a lot of growing over the years. But we obviously still have some room…Not all of us are like that.”

Well, I am of those who really appreciate anything different. And I thought that this is a beautiful Sci-Fi MM love story with a hint of adventure.

What to expect from this book:
-A heavily pregnant human male…it is called something like “spontaneous womb generation in other species”.
-Strange foreplay and even stranger “true bondmating” (lots of body fluids, honestly A LOT, during the process.)
-An alien Degan loverboy whose description reminded me of Grufallo ( The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson The Gruffalo).
But still Devin thinks Degan is pretty:

“Most humans are frightened of the Degan, by our appearance. They try not to show it, but I can scent their fear. You have never shown fear to me.”
“Well, you don’t scare me. You are just a big teddy bear.”

And
“You are so handsome”
“For a non-human?”
“No. For a man. Human or otherwise.”
“Humans call our kind beasts or beastmen.”
“Well, you’re more beauty than beast to me.”

So expect real love… and a great world building…. and very interesting, different main characters…. and some of the nicest female characters….and unique new species (especially pets).

This is another one that I have put off reading but decided to go ahead pick it up and I'm glad I did. This is how I like my mate stories, no unnecessary pushing away or denying of each other. I love all the different species. And I loved Devin and Bastian. Both deserved a good mate.

I will say, I don't think book 2 interests me. If it were another Degan, then I'd probably rush to get to it, but since it's not, meh. I wonder if I can skip it and go to book 3 🤔I'd love to read Peri's book. He deserves a good mate too, but after reading the blurb, I'm not sure it will suit me 😡

This was a wild ride space soap opera. Spaceships, aliens, conspiracies, and mpreg thrown in. It pretty much had it all and I enjoyed the read a lot.

Devin is a lonely young guy just barely scraping by, the space port where he works will soon make his job redundant and all he wants to do is explore the universe so he's saving his pennies. He meets the exotic beast-like alien, Bastian, and the two have a blazing short term affair after which, Bastian disappears and Devin's problems start to get out of control.

Definitely over the top but this was fun.

I was hoping that the sequel would focus on Devin's best friend/chosen brother Perrin but it doesn't so fingers crossed we'll see his story in the future. I will be checking out the second book in the series because I enjoyed the style of this one. This had a nice sci-fi feel to it and the alien peoples had interesting world-building.

This is the first book I've actually been able to finish in a while, due to an overload of real-world distractions, so I was especially relieved to find something relaxing that also entertained. This definitely fit the bill and I read right through it. I found Devin to be a sweetie, an orphan who is still upbeat, can't get into the space-navy but cheerfully takes a job as a grunt at the spaceport so he can at least see the space ships. He's similarly insouciant about his dreams of a big, muscle-bound hairy charming someday coming to carry him off to live in his (off-planet) lake-side villa.

Unsurprisingly, his big, tough Degan lover is a suitably gooey marshmallow, who cries almost as often as Devin, who cries in almost every scene, which isn't helped when he gets knocked up by the "aggressive," DNA-mutating sperm of his alien lover-cat. That was all cool, though, and didn't detract from my enjoyment at all. I do wish the author had pushed harder on the sci-fi, though. His Degan, in addition to speaking perfect English without technological help, also has a culture and planetary terrain that is indistinguishable from Earth's--only discounting their purple sky. As it stands, it reads like a shifter story, interspecies but not interplanetary.

Mini Rant from someone who's had a baby:

Anyway, I found this a fun read, which works better if you don't overthink the probability issues.

5 stars, and Kudos because:

*Dev, the human and only narrator is soooooo cute. Always in cloths to big for him, always loving a big and older guy to hold him, loving a Degan for what he is (an incredible person) not for his look (Degans are beast like creatures). I ADORED him. Look one example:

"You're handsome", I wishpered as I looked into his eyes.
"For a non-human?"
"No, for a man. Human or otherwise."
"Humans call our kind beasts or beastmen."
"Well, you're more beauty than beast to me"

AWWWWWWWW, no?
HOW FUCKING CUTE IS THAT???? Damn... Devin McSmith is soooo CUTE!

*Bastian, the beast-like alien, aka a Degan, is SOOOOOO HOT! A mix between a human and a lion... he PURRS!!!!! He is big, furry, muscular and... totally and completely devoted to his human, Dev. I LOVED HIM

* ALL female characters are pleasant persons. I'm TIRED of bitching/ex girfriends/bitches that are ALL females. In this book ALL female characters are amazing, and I LOVED all!

*Even if THERE IS ABUSE (beware, there is... crude scenes, even if it's quick it's THERE! Abuse, aka, torture) it's such a sweet story! SOOO romantic! Adorable...

Yeah, it's a 5 stars story.... I would LOVE to read more!

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Big, hairy aliens*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

What a weird book. Though it reminded me of another alien series I've read...
In the week of his last shift as a a gate tech at Spaceport Prime (the largest docking port on Earth’s North American continent), Devin ‘Dev’ McSmith (25) meets the exotic and beastly alien from the planet Dega, Bastian Drago (36 in Earth years), which ends up in a huge surprise; Devin is pregnant and Bastian is missing. Overall, it was strange, but not bad, though far from good.

Other characters you meet:
Perin McSmith, (no relation, both orphans, left at the McSmith Home for Boys, hence the same last name) Devin's best friend and brother.
— Bastian's parents, Degan Governor, Dashel Drago (Sire) and Nydia Drago (Mother)
— Bastian's brother, Martan Drago
Well, at least I now had a technical name for my mutation: spontaneous womb generation. How romantic.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Adult) Science Fiction Romance (M/M)
Series: - Series (Standalone?), Book One
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Bastian Drago.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Unsure.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Um... Sure?
Will I read this again in the future? - No.
Rating - 3 stars.

The poor little guy never stood a chance.

The minute he laid his eyes on a handsome horny lion (and I mean a lion with horns as well as horny) at a spaceport, where he worked, Devin was doomed.

Everything bad that could have happened to him after that, happened.

I am not sure where I stand with this book.

It's hot and it's cold. It's bright and it's dark. It will make you cringe (horrific abuse of cute and innocent pregnant beings) and it will make you puke little rainbow hearts for the rest of the year (bear hugs, face rubbing, affectionate earlobe tugging and slobbery kissings of cute and innocent pregnant beings and baby pups, and general sugar overload). It's an easy read and it has rough poorly edited patches.

Not to mention that in the end the book got tired of itself and turned boring. And we never get to know what happened to Peri.

I liked this book, really, really liked it. But there were some issues for me, that stopped me giving more than 4 stars. The actual couple were really sweet. I loved them. I wouldn't say it's the greatest book in the world, (because there were inconsistencies) but the couple made up for all that.
The writing was okay, but at times the dialogue felt unnatural. With Bastin, I could understand it. He wasn't from Earth and so he would have broken English. However, when Dev was speaking, it should have flowed well. After all, he was a human.
The sex was another issue I had... Not a huge one because I did really enjoy reading this book. But the sex scenes got very... detailed. Not erotic as much as detailed. It described a lot of things, but I didn't find them erotic. It could be me, though.
I can recommend this book, but fans of sci-fi would like this more - I think - than people who prefer contemporary.

Took me some time to get into this but once I did I had a hard time putting it down!! Bastian and Devin so very hot 🔥 together, Bastian rubbing his scent all over Devin 🤗!! Once this story got going there were so many things going on it was crazy 😵 but in a good way! I was so happy Devin got his own big family (he grew up in foster care) and found where he truly belonged and had a huge protector in Mishu who was a combo of pup, bear cub and boar and had a not so good relationship with Bastian's mom because of his poo-doo in her house 🤣.
Thank God I finished this because it was a really great read and I got plenty of laughs out of it!!

The writing was average, the characters were flat and they seemed rather fake and forced (as was the dialogue). The mpreg wasn't described in interesting detail and the plot was rather un-exciting.

Oh, and the sex consisted of orgasms which took two lines to reach.

It was an okay read but not one I'll try to remember.

This is the story of a cute little human called Devin, who, while working on Earth's Spaceport, meets and falls in love with Bastian, a huge beast-like alien. It's pretty much love at first sight for these two and they develop a really intense relationship right from the word go. After spending a really hot few weeks together, Bastian suddenly disappears. Devin is heartbroken, missing his big protective guy and because of Bastian's DNA-mutating sperm, is left with a surprising little package!

'The Degan Incident' is set in a future world full of mighty galactic powers, evil xenophobes, and different species that seem to be mostly peaceful and usually prefer trading with each other over fighting. At least those in the Galactic Planetary Union do. Villains, of course, are the exception. It is always a treat for me to discover a "new future", with slightly different aliens, and this new-to-me author certainly succeeded in hooking me into wanting to know more about this universe.

Devin is a lonely spaceport worker, who has never had a family. As a war orphan he grew up under less than ideal conditions, and his only friend, Peri, a man who went through the continual disappointment at not being adopted, is close enough to be a brother. But Devin has managed to create a life for himself. He may not have succeeded to make it into the Union Navy and into space, but he has a job, an apartment, and is reasonably happy. When he runs into Bastian, a Degan who has arrived on Earth on a secret mission, he is floored by the tall, lion-like alien. Unfortunately, the guy vanishes just after they have made love for the first time, and the little "problem" he has unknowingly left Devin with causes Devin to come to the attention of some truly malevolent forces. My heart broke for him as they tried to get information out of him that he didn't have. His rescue couldn’t come soon enough.

Bastian is a Degan, a lion-like species with lots of hair, huge teeth, and an ability to bond with their "one true mate" when they find them. He is on a super-secret mission but being with Devin makes him so happy that he is careless and gets captured. I cannot say much more without spoiling the story for you, but his reappearance and what happens next certainly had my on the edge of my seat.

I you like creative, imaginative science fiction with interesting human-alien relationships, if you enjoy reading about a lonely orphan finally finding the family he always wanted, and if you're looking for a hot read with plenty of suspension, action, and a very sweet ending, then you will probably like this novel. It's imaginative, has cute main characters (just don’t tell Bastian), and made me smile.

I love RobCub32's stories. He's my favorite unpublished author. I wish he would try to at least self-publish because his writing is worthy of being paid for.

The Degan Incident is Rob's first venture into futuristic/sci-fi and I feel he hit it out of the park! It's 12 chapters-about 59k words long. It has wonderful world-building, romance, hot sex, aliens, angst, and a HEA.

This story does contain male pregnancy which is not something that I normally read and I know a lot of people avoid reading because of the impossibility of it, but I knew Rob would make it work in the context of this story and I was right.

2nd read 11/22/13

Yeah. I liked it. I was kinda starving for some MM aliens with a little imagination, so I was happy to get this.

Was it perfect? No. But what the hell right? I still liked it.

I could go into all the little things that I would like a little different but sometimes I’m just not in the mood, so other that a few quick sentences I’ll be happy with smiling and saying...nice read.

I have to say, the aggressive sperm thing made me smile madly. That was out of the box thinking.
I have to side with the other reviewers on the hair thing. Yeah..no.

But all and all pretty entertaining.

I adored this story. It had just the right mix of love, romance, adventure, humour and surprises. The baddies were very bad and the heroes were very heroic, but the best part of all was the deep love and acceptance within the family. *sigh* It was just such a lovely story. Lurvely. This one goes to the top of my list of entertaining comfort reads.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this story. It was very well done and even though you can’t say the plot is extremely original, it managed to avoid clichés. Or at least I did not roll my eyes while reading ;)
I’m not that big a fan of insta-love, but when it comes to true bond mates, it’s easier for me to buy into it. Even so, there was a progression to their relationship that I really appreciated. They were really good for each other, very sweet.

I liked how the mpreg was handled here and Callan was so cute ;)
Best of all, I loved how Devin’s character was portrayed, as a strong man, even in the face of adversity and not as a whiny cardboard copy of an annoying woman.

I will definitely read more from this author!

Interspecies sex! A fluffy romance with lots of crying.

It was everything I expected and more. I enjoyed this book a lot.

Devin and Bastian were really in touch with their sensitive side because they cried. A LOT.

I was amused by the sex scenes as well. The copious amounts of sperm in this book were kind of yucky but the "aggressive" alien sperm concept was interesting.

I am looking forward to Peri's story. Definitely a series I will consider following.

I am suffering from MPREG overload and couldn't enjoy this story as much.Sorry author but I am sure I would have liked it much more but I can't say I would have loved it,cause the MC Alien Bastian was so hairy and all,so me being shallow I don't like hairy. As for the other MC Devin was cute.
It did provide me with the giggles which I always get (no offence)while reading MPREG and all the mushy and sappy dialogues was good enough. It had some real nice hot scene if you like furry creature. This story actually had a plot and a tad of suspense which was all in all good. The most I liked about this story was the Dog or Banti go figure.

Who wouldn't love a sweet, ballsy little guy who took a chance on dating/falling in love with a big, hairy alien like Bastian. Especially when For all the sweet cuteness, there was a most definite dark side to the story that made me feel so bad for Devin. So glad he eventually got his HFN.

The writing style wasn't my fav and it read slow for me part of the time... but a fun ending with just a tad of a cliffhanger. Enough that it makes me want to read the second book one of these days.

Wow! This was my first book from the author and I must admit I really, really liked it. Bastian the giant, furry, horned alien and Devin the orphaned, small, lonely little earth man. Who'd a thunk it? They meet and have an instant attraction but I wouldn't say insta-love. Devin thinks Bastian left him, gets kidnapped while pregnant, then lots of other stuffs happen! Some of the phrasing that maybe was supposed to be hot was kinda gross like "He drooled onto his hand and smeared it into the crevice of my ass" but I can totally overlook stuff like that in a read as entertaining as this. Fun!

I won't be able to do this book justice in this review but I can say it's been moved to one of my favorite books in 2013 category.
