The Slave Knight seamlessly picks up right where the first book left off. In a magical world where pleasure is the ruling factor in everyone’s life; Iilya is preparing to marry the King, learning of the power seduction and love. On Earth the King Roman continues the hunt for his missing bride, and his loyal knight battles his own cardinal desires for the fair and beautiful woman. When they stumble upon the portal to another realm, everything they knew is drawn into question and secrets are suddenly revealed in a huge twist of events.

This book is true to the erotica genre, and seriously burns up the pages! Jessica MacIntyre placed an appropriate amount of sex and story in one short book, continuing on with this emotional and physical story of character growth and discovery. Much like the first one, I fell in love with her characters all over again. They are relatable, realistic, and driven to their hearts desires. The storyline is easy to follow and almost bittersweet. There were some truly touching moments when these characters, which were raised to follow proper order in society, are finally able to look within and say what they truly want for themselves. Just as there are touching moments, there are also darker ones brought one by greed, grief, and a need for revenge. I can’t properly put into words how much I enjoyed it. I devoured the story in just a few hours, and was again eager for more. Well done, I loved it and can see myself read it again in the future!
