"The first time I saw her, I knew this girl was wilder than any stallion I’d ever trained. She was headstrong, wounded, passionate and free. And I had to have her…"

Brittany Ray doesn’t care about her bad reputation. Growing up in a sleepy beach town with a junkie mom and a runaway dad, Brit’s learned the hard way that the people you love will only let you down. It’s no use hoping for love or happiness. Some dreams aren’t meant for girls like her.

Hunter Covington is one of those dreams.

Gorgeous, charming Hunter is damn near perfect—and it’s killing him. Son of Charleston royalty, he’s been trapped in a gilded cage since the day he was born. Now he’s breaking free. He’s quit law school to restore his grandpa’s old horse ranch, trying to soothe the demons in his soul. But Beachwood Bay is full of old ghosts, like the mysterious girl who spent an unforgettable night with him—and then slipped away before dawn. Brit.

Everything about her screams danger, but Hunter doesn’t care: he’s never felt a connection so deep. And try as she may, Brit can’t resist the desire consuming her —or the safety she finds in Hunter’s arms.

A reckless passion. An undeniable bond. Scarred by their pasts, Brit and Hunter fight to heal old wounds. But will dark secrets tear apart their new beginning? And when love is the biggest risk of all, can they find the courage to face the future unafraid?

***5 STARS for this sizzling summer beach read!!!!!***

“This is what I was scared about, all those years I kept my heart so protected – kept the world at arm’s length with my sharp barbs and carefree comebacks. Because now I’ve opened myself up to him, and I know what it feels like to truly connect to another soul, I’m even more terrified that something might happen to tear it all away.”

I absolutely adored Unbroken, but I LOVE Unafraid!!! This book will take you on one heck of a rollercoaster; I could not put it down. I love how interconnected this book is with the first one, and I enjoyed the little updates on Emerson, Juliet, Garrett, and Lacey. A fabulous second installment to the Beachwood Bay series!!!

“I’m not that girl, you see: the one who gets dates and flowers and sweet whispered goodnights. I’m the one they screw up against the back wall of a club in a neon-lit alley; who they text at 2:00 a.m. when they’re bored and need something to pass the time.”

Brit is the second child of a messed up mother and a runaway dad; as a result, the beachy town expects her to be nothing short of a failure. She is extremely insecure, emotionally and financially, and the fact that her past relationships have always left her dry and hanging perpetuate her belief that happily-ever-afters simply don’t exist. That is, until she meets golden boy Hunter.

“The first time I laid eyes on Brittany Ray, I knew this girl was wilder than any stallion I’d ever seen. She was headstrong, wounded, passionate, and free. And I had to have her.”

All his life, Hunter has been trapped. Trapped in his perfect life and the hopes of his parents. Maybe it was because Hunter could relate to Brittany, both so locked and stuck in their past, that leads him to see her, see her insecurities and hurt feelings. The connection between the two is instantaneous, and though they part ways after a casual hookup, both know that deeper emotions were involved.

“Men don’t touch me like this. They grope, and slam, and grab at me, like my body is something rough and durable. I always felt a flash of victory at their man-handling, that I’d inspired a lust so strong it couldn’t be contained.”

“I know now I was wrong. Force isn’t the measure of desire. Hunter touches me like I’m delicate china, like I could break at any second, but there’s nothing delicate about the look in his eyes: blazing fire, stark with need.”

After three long years, Hunter breaks free from the constraints of his family and plans to restore his grandfather’s horse ranch in Beachwood Bay, and filled with the need, the desire to be with Brit. At first glance, Brit is skeptical and tries to push him away, but Hunter stays true to his word and is always there for her.

“It’s simple. You believe that people let you down, that they leave you, and break you, and lie. I won’t. I’m going to be there for you, Brit. No matter what, I’m going to keep showing up, and proving you wrong, until you accept it. I’m not like the rest.”

“If I make you a promise, I’m going to deliver.”

Well, the world certainly needs more Hunters!!!! There was this one scene that I disapproved of Hunter’s decisions, and even before I read that part, I knew he was going to mess up, but you know what? He realized his mistake after and didn’t let it stop him from earning back Brit’s trust and love. He didn’t care about his ego or pride or image; he just needed Brit back.

“He’s choosing me. The girl who was laughed at, and scorned, the girl who never came first. The girl they thought was nothing. Hunter never listened, or cared what the rumors said. He saw me, the real me, right from the start, and tonight, he’s laying claim to me, in front of everyone.”

Rest assured, cheat-freaks, there is no cheating involved. It is the second book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. A most heartwarming summer story that is a must-read!!

Side note: Unwrapped, book 2.5 in the series, will be released on December 3, and features Lacey andddddddd…..DANIEL!!!!!! What a pairing!!

Another side note: Crossing fingers for Garrett’s book, or Alicia’s!!

Well...don't take me wrong. The writing was brilliant and I had to laugh and roll my eyes more than once in sympathy of one of the characters. BUT the ending is just...it is just too much, I am sorry... You have to see for yourself I don't want to give anything away....

I didn't think it was possible but I loved Brit and Hunter much more than Jules and Emerson! I swear my heart was having palpitations during this book!

“I’m not that girl, you see: the one who gets dates and flowers and sweet whispered goodnights. I’m the one they screw up against the back wall of a club in a neon-lit alley; who they text at 2:00 a.m. when they’re bored and need something to pass the time.” – Brit

AND THE SEX SCENE’S, OMG!!!!

"You're going to feel me for days," he whispers, "I'm going to own you, every part of you. Even your heart." His lips curl up in a heartbreaking smile. "Especially your heart." – Hunter

Brit is the girl from the poor side of the tracks, she doesn't think she’s worth anything so she lets guys use her and treat her like crap. The most important people in her life left her when she needed them most, her parents, so she doesn't think she’s worthy of anyone loving her.

“Men don’t touch me like this. They grope, and slam, and grab at me, like my body is something rough and durable. I always felt a flash of victory at their man-handling that I’d inspired a lust so strong it couldn't be contained.” – Brit

Hunter has a secret that’s eating him alive and he wants to go back to the girl that made him feel complete, made him feel like he could just be himself and not be judged.

"I smile, feeling like myself again for the first time in damn too long. Yeah, I'm going to do it right this time. I'm going to make her mine." – Hunter

Brit and Hunter had 1 special night 3 years ago and neither of them have ever gotten over each other.

“Just one night, that’s all I had with him, but somehow, it’s meant more to me than anything else in my life since.” – Brit

"Whatever the reason he's back in town, he's still the boy who'll inherit the whole world, and I'm still the girl with nothing. Some things never change." – Brit

But Hunter knows he has his work cut out for him before he even arrives back in town he remembers the pain and heartbreak in her eyes.

“It’s simple. You believe that people let you down, that they leave you, and break you, and lie. I won’t. I’m going to be there for you, Brit. No matter what, I’m going to keep showing up, and proving you wrong, until you accept it. I’m not like the rest.” – Hunter

“He’s choosing me. The girl who was laughed at, and scorned, the girl who never came first. The girl they thought was nothing. Hunter never listened, or cared what the rumors said. He saw me, the real me, right from the start, and tonight, he’s laying claim to me, in front of everyone.” – Brit

Brit doesn't want to fight her attraction to Hunter but she also knows the pain of a broken heart from watching her brother Emerson lose Jules and Brit does not want that to happen to her, she believes Hunter will leave her in the end just like everyone else has.

"That's life. That's love. You have to figure out what you want and then fight like hell. Because it's never easy, not when your heart's on the line." – Emerson

"His eyes demand everything from me, and I have no choice but to surrender. I feel naked, stripped bare, like all my fears and dreams and insecurities are right there for him to see. The worst of me, my darkest secrets. Still, he doesn't look away." ~ Brit

Brit get's very hurt in this book a couple of times my heart hurt for her so much! She has a hard shell that's very hard to penetrate but how much can someone take? My favorite part of the book was when Brit realised she's enough I LOVED the ending of this book!!!

"I came here looking for answers...but it turns out I've had them inside me all along. I feel the weight slip from my shoulders, the deep, knotted tangle of my heart finally unbind. I'm enough. I was good enough. I was always good enough. It's not my fault they couldn't stay." – Brit

Can they both move past their dark heartbreaking pasts and move forward together?

“I can love him, even if it breaks my heart.” - Brit

WOW!!!! That's what I have to say when it comes to this book. I thoroughly enjoyed Unbroken ( book 1 ) but I LOVED Unafraid. There was just something about this book that just sucked me in right from the start. I will admit that I thought the beginning was a little slow, but once I hit like ch. 4 the story took off and didn't let go until you read The End. My heart actually broke a little when I read those words, because I didn't want this story to end. This book was written so well that it was really believable. The author made you feel everything the characters were feeling. I felt like I was right there with them in the story. I smiled, blushed, cried, and got angry. I love when a book can do that. The characters that this author created were so relatable.

I feel in love with Brit in Unbroken, so I was so excited to learn that she was getting her own book. Brit was a broken girl who had very low self esteem and self worth. This all stemmed from things in her past. I will say that Brit's self doubt was starting to annoy me in this book, but as the story went on and information about her past is revealed, it made things more acceptable. I truly understood why she was the way she was. Now with that said, Brit was also a strong person....she didn't take any crap from anyone....especially men. I truly loved her feisty side. Now as for Hunter...WOW....AMAZING....that pretty much sums up my feelings for him. He too was a broken soul. He carried around a lot of guilt from a tragic accident that happened in his past. I was truly glad to see that as the story went on he realized that doing everything his mom wanted him to do was not going to change things and he needed to live his life how he wanted to. I loved the pace of Hunter and Brit's relationship. Hunter was very determined to take things slow and not get carried away....at least not until he had Brit's heart and soul. I will say that when things do get going for them boy do they get HOT HOT HOT!!!! Melody really does know how to create a great steamy scene ( one word "stables" )

As for the other characters...I was so glad to see Emerson and Juliet back in the story. It was nice catching up with them and seeing how everything turned out for them. My only disappointment was, that because Emerson is Brit's brother I was hoping he would've been in the story more. Garrett was the other secondary character...and he was amazing as well. I loved how he took care of and watched over Brit. They had such a great and loving relationship. I only hope that he gets his own book. We even got a small cameo of Lacey ( Juliet's BFF ). She is still sassy ;) I look forward to her story in the novella Unwrapped coming out in December.

So overall this book was FANTASTIC. I would definitely recommend this book/series to everyone. It is so good and you won't be disappointed. I have to thank Bethany Carter for recommending this book/series to me....it truly is great :) My only negative to this whole book was that I wish we would've gotten more of Hunter's POV. We only got a couple chapters worth and I would've loved some more.

I was so lucky to win an early copy of Unafraid and I'm so happy I did. This book was so good, I absolutely loved it!! When I heard Brittany, Emerson’s little sister was getting her own story, I was so excited. I knew she definitely had a story to tell after reading Unbroken. Brittany and Hunter share one night together that forever changes them but that night is all they have until their paths cross three years later. They might be from two completely different walks of life but they fit together perfectly.

I have to say, I was so completely swept away by Hunter Covington. He definitely made my book boyfriend list. The man could be so incredibly romantic and sweet one minute and then sexy demanding the next. I couldn't get enough of him! These two had steaming hot chemistry and their passion for each other was off the charts. There were a few scenes that left me blushing. I loved this book so much. I can’t wait to see what’s next in the Beachwood Bay series and from Melody Grace.

"You're perfect, Brit. Special, and rare. And maybe you can't believe that, but I swear, I won't stop until you see what I do. The most incredible girl I've ever met." --Hunter

I don't even care about the insta-love. Hunter was... *sigh... And, Brit was all... RAWR... and... Yeah. I liked Unafraid. A lot.

Brittany has been hurt again and again by the people she loves. She's the town slut. Despite her talent at fashion design, no one will give her a break. So, when Hunter Covington, golden boy of Beachwood Bay, shows up and starts wooing her, she doesn't fall easily, despite his good looks and charming disposition. It's impossible to resist forever, though, but Brit isn't exactly an expert at sticking around when the going gets tough. Can Hunter be the one who changes her for good?

So, like I said. There was insta-love here. Normally, that is a major irritation for me. I'm not a fan of love born out of instant physical attraction, or whatever, with no basis on shared experiences or knowledge about one another's lives or families or anything. How can you know you love someone when you don't even know them?

For some reason, though, the insta-love in Unafraid didn't irk me like it usually does. Hunter and Brit shared one night together three years before (which is detailed in the novella, Untamed Hearts - good stuff, that novella), then after Brit left him, the had no contact until Hunter walked back into the bar that Brit works in with a mission. He came back to Beachwood Bay for two reasons. First, he's looking to escape his parents' stifling hold on his life and follow his own dreams for a change. And second, he's back for Brit.

Hunter was pretty awesome. He was confident and sweet and had the patience of a freaking saint. Brit did not make things easy on him at all. It was the classic case of the damaged girl doing all she could to push the one person she found herself caring about away in order to protect him from her poisonous life. Hunter didn't fall for it, though. Then again, he had some secrets of his own that he didn't want to share with Brit either, for fear that, if she knew, she wouldn't want him either.

These two kids totally belonged together for many reasons, not least of which is their ability to heal the wounds of each others' pasts. There were a few stops and starts along the way, as is to be expected. But, really, those are the best parts, right? If everything went smoothly, that HEA wouldn't feel as deserved, right?

Unafraid is told in dual POV, and includes all the wonderful spiciness that I've come to expect from Melody Grace. Since Emerson is Brit's brother, we have the opportunity to see how he and Juliet are doing. There was also a lot of set up for Garrett's book, which releases in just over a week (YAY!).

Unafraid is a fantastic story with a little switch up. For once, it's the good, Ivy League guy chasing the bad girl, instead of the good girl going after the bad boy. There's lots of drama, tons of heat, and more swoon than you can shake a stick at. There's still time to get all caught up on this amazing new adult series before the third book, Unconditional, comes out on March 18!

Summer has been long gone here in Manila but Melody Grace’s books still never fail to make me feel all summery even when the storm was hitting our city. We’re now back to the magical (Yeah, well it seems magical now for me. Couldn't be much more different from Disneyland) Beachwood Bay, North Carolina – where the summer is awesome, people fell in and out of love and for some magical/unknown reasons they reunite and fall madly in love again.

The boy who will inherit the world and the girl with nothing.

Unafraid shifted to Emerson Ray’s younger sister Brit – the spunky girl with an attitude we have met on the two previous books. She was raised by her big brother and was mostly used on being on her own. She uphold a certain and not so good reputation to the small beach town community – she wears provocative clothes, dyes her hair, works at a bar and hook-ups with whoever. She’s a rebel as you can get – a rebel who can’t get over the town’s golden Boy.

Hunter was one of the so-called golden boys of the small town – Handsome, charming, wealthy, and untouchable. He has the world at his feet and comes from a good family background and his parents hopes hat he would follow his dad’s footsteps in running their company.

Chemistry wise, it’s really there and it’s really is potent. I came to understand the source of Brit’s attitude – her insecurities and naiveties. Hunter also has his own demons to face. Seeing them conquer each of their own demise was a great picture to watch. I like Hunter’s determination with Brit and Brit’s determination in getting Hunter back. Well, what can I say, they’re both really determined.

As ever, I love the summery feel of the story. Melody Grace never fails to capture the whole summer thing with her smooth writing. It’s easy to get sucked in to Brit and Hunter’s story. Plus we get a cameo from Jules and Emerson! In all, it was a pretty sweet story. Super easy, fun and fluffy read.

I was definitely a fan of Melody Grace after reading Unbroken but now that I've read Unafraid, I am a fan club member for life. I absolutely love her writing and the characters she creates. The men are definitely swoon-worthy and the plot flows eloquently. Unafraid had everything that makes a great contemporary romance for me; likable female lead, sexy male counterpart, emotion inducing plot and steamy love scenes.

Brittany is briefly in Unbroken and she is Emerson’s younger sister so we know a little bit of her background going into Unafraid. She was abandoned by her father as a child and her mother was a junkie drunk. Living in a small town, everyone knows her past and she is clearly judged for it. This makes her angry and she acts out. My heart broke for Brittany because she has incredible dreams and so much potential but she doesn't see it in herself. She only sees what everyone in town perceives her to be; a townie slut. After hearing it whispered for so long, she lets herself start to believe it. When Hunter comes along, he doesn't allow her to see herself that way and for the first time, she sees so much more in herself. She is an incredible designer and she knows she has talent but no one will give her a chance. It is discouraging and causes insecurities within her. However, I loved that she never gave up even when the rejection was so painful for her.

“I want to lose myself in his arms right here, up above the world where nothing can touch us, and I’m safe from all the whispers of pain and doubt.”

Hunter seems like the perfect guy. Gorgeous, smart, successful and even though he comes from money, he is down to earth. It's obvious that he is hiding something important that causes him to see himself completely different. While Brittany sees the amazing guy that Hunter is, it kills him that she finds him so perfect because he know he has faults and he carries around the burden and guilt of those mistakes with him every day. He may come from money but his life is not picture perfect. His parents put so much pressure on him to live a life that he doesn’t want and Britney is the only person who sees the real person he is inside. She has no expectations from him to be anyone but who he really wants to be.

“I want so badly to live up to her illusions, be that man she sees in me, even if I can’t see it in myself just yet.”

The chemistry between these 2 is palpable and they definitely have some steamy moments of passion and lust. They both had demons that haunted them and when they came to a head, my heart broke for each of them. All of the guilt and anguish that Hunter felt was laid bare and I just wanted to hold him and comfort him. When Brittany was rejected in the worst possible way, I felt all of her emotions as if they were my own and as she poured it all out to Hunter, it was obvious that he wanted to take all of her pain away. What I loved most was that neither of them let these truths break them apart but instead pulled them closer together and allowed them to help each other heal and make on another whole again.

“To hell with my rules, and walls, and endless bitter defenses—I want him more than I want to stay safe. More than anything. More than air.”

We are introduced to Garrett in Unbroken a little bit and I loved seeing more of him in this book and getting to know him a little better. He is definitely a charmer but he was a really great friend to Brittany and he helped her through her tough times like a brother since Emerson is living in the city now. I'm hoping we get his story soon. Hunter’s mother on the other hand is a character I wish to never see again. She was haughty, rude and just plain cruel to Brittany. She treated her like trash and couldn’t accept Hunter’s decisions and choices. Despite the difference in social classes, Brittany was way above Mrs. Covington where it really mattered.

Hunter’s mother still had a hold on him and I got really pissed when he let her use her mind games to control him. I hated the way she used the guilt trip against him. However, I felt like he needed to be stronger and stand up to her. Every time she pouted, he crawled back in his shell and let her hold control over him. He allowed his mother to come between him and Brittany and when this happened I hurt for her so much because all of her fears were brought to the surface and Hunter didn’t do a great job at handling the situation. He broke Brittany and it was so painful to watch. However, part of enduring the pain is the pleasure when the characters make up because you know the male lead puts out all the stops and Hunter did not disappoint.

“She deserves everything. And I’m going to be the one to give it to her.”

I absolutely adore the way Melody writes her books. There is always so much emotion and depth to each story. Each character had these internal struggles that they fought tooth and nail to overcome and you can really feel these emotions with them. I love the way she includes flashbacks within the story and she always includes them in bits and pieces that are dangled in front of me and leave me begging for more. Brittany and Hunter’s flashbacks were included in the form of dreams they each had after spending time with one another and I found that was a really awesome and unique way to incorporate it. With all that said, I still feel like all the “feels” this book gave me are indescribable and I cannot wait for the next one. Beachwood Bay keeps getting better and better and I’ll never get enough.

Melody Grace can now be termed as the beach read author of the summer, to me at least. Although in my part of the states the only beach around me is a dirty one near the city lake. Anyway, Ms. Grace transports us back to the magical North Carolina beach town Beachwood Bay. Her previous two books were about the romance between Juliet & Emerson. Now that they have somewhat had their happy ending, Ms. Grace introduces us to Emerson's wild child, younger sister, Brit.

Brit is used to being on her own. Everyone that was a part of her life has left her, besides Emerson. Her dad left the family when she was a toddler and her druggie mom left her and her brothers when Brit was 15. She was raised basically by Emerson and he had a hard time controlling her wild ways. People in the small beach town community had certain views on the Ray family and Brit finally just decided to give into the views and become a rebel. She wears risqué clothes, dyes her hair frequently, works at a bar & has frequent, meaningless flings. However she can never quite get over one night she spent with summer 'golden boy' Hunter Covington 3 years earlier.

Hunter Covington used to spend summers in Beachwood Bay at his grandfather's horse farm. Hunter comes from an affluent background in the south & his parents had hopes that he would follow in his dad's footsteps and help run his company following his Ivy League education. Hunter has other plans, he doesn't want to spend his life behind a desk and hosting society parties. He has always loved the horse farm that his grandfather had left him and wants to build the farm back up to running efficiently on his own. He also is interested in visiting Beachwood Bay, because he too cannot get over the night he spent with Brit Ray several years ago.

Can Brit get over her insecurities about her past and trust Hunter? Can Hunter really give up on the family business after a horrible family accident occurred? Does fate have every obstacle imaginable stacked against them?

I truly like Ms. Graces's writing. The story flows smoothly and you get sucked into these characters and rooting for love to win. Brit, in the first two books, was a secondary character that was a brat and I loved how the author wrote why she was like she was and you got to get in her head this time. While most of the book is told by Brits's POV, but Hunter gets his turn as well. I read this book in one day, I literally could not put the story down. I liked this love story better than Emerson & Juliet's.

There is not much smut, but when there is, look out! Hunter is all about dominating Brit and making her forget all that is going around and just think about her pleasure. There are some interesting places that their wild foreplay occurs.

Please check out Melody Grace's work. She writes lovely, quick reads and transports you to another place where time seems to stand still.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

"That's life. That's love. You have to figure out what you want and then fight like hell. Because it's never easy, not when your heart's on the line."

I had been desperate to read this book after I read Unbroken and fell in love with Melody Grace's writing! I then read Untouched and that was just as amazing! If it's possible, Unafraid was even better! It was a touching, beautiful story about two people trying to escape their lives and finding love along the way! The plot was written beautifully! It was amazing and I couldn't put it down! The plot was easy to follow and I loved that characters from the last book were in this book! When I was reading it I felt like I was feeling the emotions that the characters were and it was such an odd, but surreal feeling! I'll admit that I did cry at the end of this book because it was so beautiful and Melody has such a way with words that there was nothing for me to do but cry! The characters were exceptional! I just couldn't get enough of them! Brittany "Britt" was the main female character in this book and I didn't actually click on that Britt was actually Emerson's (the main male character in the first book) younger sister until it was mentioned in this book! How bad a fan does that make me?! I honestly forgot that she was in Unbroken! I can say that I certainly won't forget her again! Unafraid was her book and I connected with Britt instantly! She had created this persona of how she was perceived and there was one person who didn't see right through her! This person saw Britt for who she really was! Britt also sort of held people at arms length, until Hunter tells her this and she realises that he actually isn't like other guys! He won't run away and hurt her! He'll stand with her, and he proves this to her this all the way through this book! Hunter was the main male character and he was so hot! He had been through a lot and he was trying to get his head around it all! I loved Hunter as he didn't let Britt down! He was always there for her and I could see how much he loved her! Their love was so beautiful! I loved that this book was written from both Britt and Hunter's point of views as this was definitely essential! Both characters came from different backgrounds so it was interesting to see how the two of them really felt about each other! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series! I wasn't sure if there was going to be another book, but it tells you who the lucky couple are at the end of Unafraid and I cannot wait to see what's in store for them! I will never get over how stunning the cover for Unafraid is! When I first saw it I squealed because it's one of those covers that you just need to buy in print and have on your bookcase! Big thank you to Melody for an ARC of Unafraid and to Kelly from InkSlinger PR for having me on the Blog Tour!

This was a such an emotional rollercoaster with loads of ups and downs. Highly readable writing and interesting, multi-dimensional characters. This is the second book in the series, but it reads as a standalone. Totally heartwarming with a lovely dose of summer.

4 “Meet me in outer space…” Kisses

*Sigh* That’s about all I can do right now. I am in love with this series…in love with these characters…and possibly planning my move to Beachwood Bay. I cannot explain the hypnotic hold this series has over me, but I’m 100% A-Okay with it. It’s that just right blend of relatable heroine, with a drool worthy book boyfriend, the perfect amount of angst and grit and to top is off a good amount of steamy sexiness. What more could you ask for? I was over the moon for Unbroken when I read it 5 months ago and I can definitely say Unafraid was another amazing addition to this series.

Brittany Ray…poor poor Brit. She’s an outcast, the town slut, the girl every guy uses and forgets about, the girl everyone likes to gossip and talk about…even her parents didn’t want her. She’s a tough, hardened girl who has learned to live with walls built around her heart, because you can’t get hurt if you don’t let anyone in. She doesn’t let anything phase her, sarcasm and whit are second nature to her. Beachwood Bay is home and is the best she can do and while she does have a passion and dreams of being a fashion designer, even those get crushed with every denial letter that comes her way. So it’s about time something good comes her way…just so happens it’s in the form a 6’2” blonde Adonis.

‘The first time I laid eyes on Brittany Ray, I knew this girl was wilder than any stallion I’d ever seen. She was headstrong, wounded, passionate, and free. And I had to have her.’

Hunter Covington…Mmmmhmmm…I mentioned he’s 6’2”, right? And blonde? Yeah. Oh and ‘Drop-dead, panty-twistingly gorgeous.. That’s prolly the best way to describe him…he’s got gorgeous blue eyes…body to die for (and I did…a couple times), smart (went to Yale), kind…and basically rich boy royalty. But he doesn’t want his parents money, or all the strings that come along with that. He wants to work on his grandfather’s ranch in Beachwood Bay, training horses just like he was taught to every summer for years. Oh…and he wants Brit. Bad. He’s lived with immeasurable guilt for the past three years but he’s done living the life his parents have planned for him. It’s time for him to live his dreams.

‘Funny, how the idea of someone can mean so much. It was just a few hours we spent together all those years ago, but I’ve clung to the memory of her strength and tenderness, like the only light in my darkness. A north star, guiding me on, making me believe that for all my guilt and grief, I could feel something more too. A moment of peace, some glimmer of joy.
She saved me, and she doesn’t even know it.’

So what’s not to love about these two? They’re their own worst enemies….he’s living with a shit ton of guilt and she’s living with the town stigma’s the she can’t help but live up to…in her own words ‘I wanted so badly to prove them wrong, but all I do is live up to their low expectations.’ It’s actually really heartbreaking. Until she finally learns that Hunter might have better intentions than she thinks he does…that’s when the fun starts. And there was a lot of fun to be had in this book.

“You’re perfect, Brit. Special, and rare. And maybe you can’t believe that, but I swear, I won’t stop until you see what I do. The most incredible girl I’ve ever met.”

Of course it’s got emotional parts in it, but the chemistry and attraction between these two is pretty freakin awesome. I mean….duh…it was established years ago that they like each other, we’ve cleared that hurtle. But Hunter doesn’t want just sex from Brit and Brit has never experienced a relationship period, so a guy wanting her for more than sex is a foreign concept. Part of what made this that much more for me was getting it from both of their POV’s…it’s not every other chapter, it’s sporadic and kind of like a ‘surprise’ game, you never know who’s head you’ll be in next – which didn’t bother me at all. But I liked it because you knew what they were thinking and feeling in the moment and it’s almost like Melody had a magic ball and just knew when I was wondering what the other would be thinking or feeling because Bam! Then the next chapter would be in their POV.

‘And that’s when I know I’m doomed.
I can fight this, kicking and screaming. I can pretend I’m immune, and in control, and I can walk away any time I choose. But the truth is, I realize, I don’t stand a chance.
Because Hunter Covington is the most noble, sweet, gorgeous, sexy man I’ve ever met. And I’m falling in love with him.’

Oh and don’t you fret, it wasn’t a walk in the park once Brit finally gets it thru her head that Hunter might be a freakin amazing guy and totally into her….there is still more angsty goodness to be had. The guilt plays a big part…and I can’t spoil it…but it made me cry. And it squeezed my heart. But…I cannot say that they way Hunter handled things did frustrate the every living bejesus out of me. I get it…I understand it…but after all the work he did with Brit it was like WTF are you doing Hunter??? REALLY?!?!!? Ugh…boys. Just want to shake them sometimes. And God Bless Brit….she had a lot more guts than I ever would. *sigh*

“But I’m not a sane man, Brit, I’m crazy about you.” Hunter smiles at me, so full of tenderness it takes my breath away, “So you be scared, and freak out, and feel whatever it is you need to feel. Just promise me you’ll do it here, by my side. Because I can’t take losing you again,” he adds, determined. “If you run, I’m running after you, and dragging you right back home again. You understand?”

My only teeny-tiny problem with everything had to do with their relationship…I wish it was more developed. More of seeing them spend time together, getting to know each other, seeing him break down her walls a little slower, maybe? Not that I didn’t feel their connection and chemistry…it’s all well and good that they ‘feel’ it and they ‘know’, but it would have just made it a little more realistic and more believable. Trust me, I felt it and I loved the two of them together – you got exactly how they felt about each other, but just having more of that foundation…of them connecting on more than just that ‘one night’ and other than their physical relationship and the few conversations we got to see.

“I want to stay here forever,” he murmurs, dropping kisses along my neck, my chest, my lips. “Just you and me, it’s all I ever need.”

Oh my that ending…that is my bread and butter. That super lovey HEA that just leaves me filled with glee and warm and fuzziness. L.O.V.E.D. IT! And can I just say for the record that I can’t wait to see what’s next in Unwrapped….Lacey and Daniel! And a holiday wedding for Jules and Em SQUEEE!!!!! Oh, I so hope Garrett has a novel worked in there somewhere...I have a soft spot in my heart for manwhore’s and Garrett is a fabulous manwhore. I can only imagine what Miss. Grace has in store next for the Beachwood Bay series… :-)

I adored this book. Hands down, ADORED it! I loved Untouched by Melody and while I have not had the chance to read Unbroken as of yet it is very high on my TBR! I love Melody's writing style and her ability to create such in depth characters. Both Hunter and Brit were fantastic MC's and I loved getting both of their POV's!

Brit completely broke my heart. Seriously. My heart ached so badly for her and I just wanted to see her happy. Brit has not had an easy life, by any means. All her life all she has ever known are people who end up leaving her. Her mother is a junkie and her father abandoned them. The only person she really relies on is her brother Emerson, yet Emerson too is moving forward with his life with his fiancée, Juliet in the city, leaving Brit by herself in Beachwood Bay. Yet, Brit is a little spitfire. She won't let people treat her like trash, no matter that she may feel like it. We get a prime example of her saucy attitude at the book's start after finding out the guy she's been sleeping with is actually engaged to another girl. It isn't even that she's overly hurt over him- she doesn't love him, but she feels like she's only good enough to warm some guy's bed.

"I just can't help thinking, there's some reason. That if I try harder, or act better, then they'd stay." (e-ARC 181)

Brit has a lot of insecurities and her self-worth is shot. She has been applying for multiple internships to get her foot in the door of the fashion industry and has been rejected time after time. There is a scene where Hunter pulls some strings to get her in an interview and to say it goes badly is putting it mildly. I hated that no one wanted to give her a chance, when she is clearly talented.

She also doesn't feel worthy of Hunter, due to her reputation and her family's past. Yet, Hunter was resilient. He wasn't about to let her slip through his fingers again. He was determined to show her that people don't always leave and he was going to be the one to stay.

I loved Hunter. He let Brit slip through his fingers once and hell if he's going to do it again. Yet, Hunter has his own set of problems and demons he's facing. Brit is the one sure thing in his life, his one constant, yet even he isn't able to predict the future. His parents are insistent he return home, that he's wasting his time in Beachwood Bay taking care of his grandfather's ranch. I was a bit upset with Hunter that he let his parents guilt and manipulate him in the way they did. I understand he felt trapped, but that didn't give him the right to act the way he did when it came to the girl he loved more than anything. His mom, Camille, was a real piece of work. She is that typical rich, stuck up, snob who looks down her nose at people like Brit and doesn't even give her the time of day. She makes it clear to Hunter that he doesn't belong with someone like her. Yet, blood is blood. Hunter's guilt over what happened with his brother ends up ruling him and while he knows he should leave his parents and go back to Beachwood Bay, he doesn't. He wants to make things right with his parents, but really I think he wants their understanding most of all.

Untouched and Unbroken fans will be happy to see Emerson and Juliet make an appearance in this book. It's always nice to see how your first characters in a series are doing and catch a glimpse of their lives. I like the closeness between Emerson and Brit and that she has formed a relationship with Juliet too.

One of my favorite characters would have to be Garrett, though. Garrett has taken over the bar for Emerson and serves as a big brother to Brit. He is protective of her and helps Hunter out in his pursuits of her, wanting nothing but her happiness. Garrett is known for being a player, so I wouldn't mind seeing him settle down and find love!

The chemistry between Brit and Hunter is off the charts HOT! Hunter has a bit of an alpha personality and it was so sexy how he took control, forcing Brit to open her eyes and really see him and the man he is. She fights him as long as she can, before she realizes she's tired of fighting. She wants to be loved and cherished, to be taken care of and treated with the proper respect. Hunter has promised her he will be the one to prove her wrong and for once, maybe she's not so against that.

"He's choosing me. The girl who was laughed at, and scorned, the girl who never came first. The girl they thought was nothing. Hunter never listened, or cared what the rumors said. He saw me, the real me, right from the start, and tonight, he's laying claim to me, in front of everyone." (e-ARC 204)

I was completely hooked on this novel from the very first page. The prologue was magnificent. Pure genius! It begins in Hunter’s point of view and the emotion behind his words had me deeply invested in this story immediately. I had to know what happened to this beautifully broken man. Hunter’s desperation brought tears to my eyes.

“Just one night, that’s all I had with him, but somehow, it’s meant more to me than anything else in my life since.”

Unafraid is an emotional journey involving second chance love. Three years have passed since Hunter and Brittany last saw each other yet their thoughts are still constantly consumed by one another. Beachwood Bay is Brit’s home and the summer vacation spot for Hunter’s family. They are from different worlds but the pull between cannot be denied. One night is all it took for their young love to explode but Brit’s insecurities had her running away from the amazing bond they shared.

“I’d do anything for you.” Hunter whispers, leaning in to kiss me. It’s real. He’s here. He came. For me.

Hunter returns to Beachwood Bay after three long years to finally find happiness. He is relentless in his pursuit for Brit’s affection but her past holds a tight grip that she cannot easily escape. I really enjoyed Brit’s character. Even though she has been let down countless times, the fire continues to burn within her. Brit is very strong even though her confidence is shattered. The way she constantly puts herself down broke my heart. I was extremely happy that Hunter didn’t give up easily because Brit deserves something great in her life. Did I mention that Hunter rides horses? Yeah… because he wasn’t hot enough.

“You’re perfect, Brit. Special, and rare. And maybe you can’t believe that, but I swear, I won’t stop until you see what I do. The most incredible girl I’ve ever met.”

I loved the relationship between Brit and Hunter. It is obvious they are meant to be together and clearly crazy for one another. Their personal struggles and painful pasts add to the depth of this story. The heat and passion they share is extremely hot! Their future together could be amazing if they could get over what is holding them back.

“You just showed up here like some Prince Charming, trying to sweep me off my feet. But I don’t believe in fairy-tales, or handsome princes, or happily-ever-after. Those things aren’t real.”

The glances into the past were fantastic and very well placed within the book. I felt this really enhanced the story overall. I enjoyed the dual POV, as always, and it was very well done here. Melody’s writing was captivating and very detailed. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from start to finish and plan to read the other books in the series as well.

Sad, happy, HOT, steamy, funny….those are only a few words that come to mind after I finished Unafraid. Oh, and I may need to mention HOT again ;) I sometimes get nervous when reading the second book in a series, especially a series that I LOVE. I am always worried that it will not live up to the first one. But, Unafraid did not disappoint!! In fact, I am on the fence as to which I loved more, and I think it might be Unafraid. I really liked Brit in Unbroken and I needed her to find her happy place. Well, she did and her happy place is Hunter Covington.

“You’re perfect, Brit. Special, and rare. And maybe you can’t believe that, but I swear, I won’t stop until you see what I do. The most incredible girl I’ve ever met.”

Hunter and Brit are total opposites, or so Brit thinks. But, in actuality, they are very similar. Both are broken and so damaged from their past. Hunter has a secret, one that he is still dealing with and trying to pretend that doesn’t exist. And Brit…well, Brit has no self-esteem.Brit has been taken advantage of too many times. And damn her for letting it happen. She truly broke my heart. She thought she meant nothing to anyone and wasn’t even worthy of a man loving her :( This saddened me because in actuality, she is a strong and caring woman that was just dealt a crappy hand in life. She needed to break free from her norm and take a chance on love. And Hunter Covington was just the man to help her through it.

Yeah, he did make a few mistakes(what man doesn’t) that made me so mad. I had to sit my kindle down once because I was so damn pissed at him. I know he felt like he was doing the right thing but it didn’t make me feel any better about it. But, overall, other than this one incident, I still loved him. He is independent, sweet, attractive, persistent, and most of all dominant. Ummm, hello, I was not expecting that!!! WHEW!!! He is a panty melter, ladies!!!

“You were just a kid. You didn’t know what you were doing.” “I knew enough to make you come.”

“I know my way around a pair of panties,” ~Hunter

Oh boy, does he!!! This one is hot, oh so HOT! I love it when I get a great mix of all the emotions and I did. It makes it oh, so real and enjoyable when you feel and find yourself hurting, laughing, loving, screaming, and crying right along with the characters. Melody has not disappointed me yet with that and, in fact, she over exceeded my expectations. Unafraid comes HIGHLY recommended from this Book Bitch 

Buy it!!! Read it!! Love it!!

Oh, yes! I was addicted to this from the very first page. Melody sure knows how to write a sweet and sexy romance that has you glued to the pages and begging for more. I also loved that Melody went a little further in the intimate department in this book as opposed to her first book, Unbroken. I think I even loved this more than the first book. Hunter is irresistible and their chemistry was so sizzlingly hot, I’m surprised the pages didn’t ignite.

Brit wasn’t a bad character. She’s had a hard life and the people around her have made her feel inferior, insecure, unwanted, and unworthy of great things. It kind of bothered me exactly how many times she told herself that things with Hunter weren’t real and how much she belittled herself, but it wasn’t too bad. I loved that she had a passion for art and fashion and that she was a talented designer, even if she didn’t realize it herself. When she finally comes to terms with her reality and her relationship with Hunter, I liked how she handled it, and it was different from how I’ve seen other females like her handle that kind of situation. She stepped up and proved that you don’t have to leave everything up to the guy, which I admired.

Hunter was just amazing. He is so sweet, considerate, and romantic. I loved that he never gave up on Brit and made sure to show her just how amazing and wonderful she really is. He’s always had a thing for her when he visited Beachwood and he was never able to forget her. I loved that despite the many, many times Brit pushed him away and kept him at arms length, he never gave up. This is the kind of chase I love. He stopped at nothing to break down her walls and prove that true love does exist and that she deserves that and so much more. He did upset me later on in the book, but I understood where he was coming from. He is dealing with a lot of grief and inner struggles, so I definitely felt for him. Plus, man, can that guy turn me on! He is one sexy beast! Trust me, those sexy times will require a high-powered fan, for sure. He’s so charismatic and caring, but the guy is also one heck of an alpha male.

Just as romantic and heartwarming as her other books, Unafraid is an excellent New Adult book. It’s more intense and edgier than the first book, and it grabs you right from the start with these magnetic characters with a burning passion for each other. I love a good “second chance” romance, and this book is all that and more. I can’t wait to read more from Melody and this series.

I was so excited when we got the request to read this book. I absolutely love Melody's first 2 books so I was eager to read this one and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!!!!!

First things first this book contains the BEST FIRST DATE EVER!!!!! I totally adored the lengths that Hunter was willing to go to for Brit.

After spending one unexpected passionate night together neither of them could ever find that spark in another person that they were looking for. Brit chasing some demons of her past and the stigma her mother has left behind she embraces the image and lives up to it, but it's so not who she is... she like any other girl has dreams and aspirations but unfortunately with no experience or education those dreams aren't becoming a reality... Brit is so lost. You want to hug her and take her away from her issues and make her believe that she is better then what she believes of herself.

Hunter is really a sweetheart, but he himself has some issues and one major secret that he is hiding and burying. When he divuldges his secret my heart literally broke in two... I was crying for him. Yeah I'm a sap and I cry easily but I don't know how you wouldn't be able to cry at this revelation. My favorite part of Hunter is that he is willing to do anything for Brit, he doesn't quit or give up no matter how hard she tries to push him away...

This book has a 10 on the sizzle and hotness factor! Hunter literally made me need some cold showers! True Story! This book was HOT HOT HOT!!!!! Hunter is swoon worthy and he will be on my book boyfriend list right alone with Emerson! I'm not sure Melody will ever write a man I don't fall completely in love with! These characters will make you fall in love with them. Their passion to not only love but to fight for each other shows that love knows no bounds... I was very smitten with Hunter from the beginning and by the end I loved them both...

I was happy to see the appearance of Brit's brother Emerson and future sister in law Juilet... Beachwood Bay has a lot of love and secrets buried in it... I'm wondering if there are anymore couples that will come out of this small town, but I can tell you that I sure hope so... I give this one 5 stars... There is NOTHING you could change in this book to make it better. From beginning to the very end I was captivated by the depth of the characters and the story! BRAVO Melody keep them coming! I surely wouldn't mind to see that playboy bar stud Garrett find a woman to rock his world... hint hint hint... Seriously get this book you will not be sorry!!!!!

2 stars - The characters didn't do it for me in this one.

I loved book one, Unbroken. Emerson and Juliet were so real for me. And I was so looking forward to Unafraid, hoping it would be more of the same. Sadly, my experience was not the same at all.

Let me start with things I did enjoy. The ending was my favorite part. I really liked how a few elements of the book came together at that moment to create a sweet ending. There was also a lot of very hot, steamy moments in this one. Enjoyed these things tons.

However, this type of story is very character driven for me. I have to believe these people are real and that their actions match who they claim to be. When there is a disconnect, I don't enjoy the story. That was the case for Unafraid.

I didn't understand their relationship. They had met and had one night three years before. Brit had ran off before Hunter woke up. This short time together (that we only get a few glimpses of) is apparently where they both fell in love. I needed more than that to accept their feeling for each other. The story doesn't give us enough to see them fall in love. I just needed more.

Every couple has some reason they can't be together. Some are more plausible than others. I wasn't buying Hunter and Brit's reasons. I'm not sure I even understand it. Brit feels like everyone she loves leaves her, so she not risking it with Hunter, even though the feeling are apparently already there. Hunter fights her but he's not convinced he's worthy of her. His crimes are painful and I, maybe, got his reasons more. But the distance that it causes between them never felt real. I never had that "OMG...are they not going to be together" moment. It was always a fact how the story would end.

Then there was this kinky side of Hunter that didn't really fit him. He's a rebel only in the sense that he doesn't want anything to do with the high society life his parents lead. Sweet, caring, thoughtful, understanding, helpful, sexy, gorgeous all describe him. He's not a kinky guy. When he's demanding...or commanding Brit come, I'm like...really? There might have been some horse leads used for purposes other than there intended use as well. That really seemed out of character for Hunter too. I just don't like it when a character acts one way for some scenes and a very different way in other scenes. It make me realize he's not real and it makes me sad.

This book was received from Inkslinger PR in exchange for an honest review.

Unafraid was another new adult win for me! It is a really refreshing storyline and I read it in one sitting. I dare ya not to like this one.

Brittany is such a strong girl. She was dealt a shit hand in life, her dad leaving their family and her mom loved booze more than Brittany. She has dreams, dreams she wants more than anything to accomplish She’s extremely pessimistic and I really can’t blame her because of her upbringing, but I wish she didn’t have such a load on her shoulders. She expects the worst out of Hunter, just because of her past experience, and I love when he proves her wrong.

Hunter truly is a golden boy, just like Brit thinks. He is so dang considerate, sweet, and just perfect. And yet, he is messed up inside just like Brittany. But he doesn’t let it stop him from giving his all to her and showing her so much love. He’s headstrong, just like his counterpart and never gives up no matter how many times she tells him to go away.

I loved seeing Juliet and Emerson back in action. They are so cute together and Emerson loves his little sister and will beat up anyone that hurts his sister. Garrett is like a surrogate brother to Brittany as well and I really love his character.

The thing I loved about Unbroken, Juliet and Emerson’s book, and this book is that the couples have a past. Brit and Hunter have a complicated past, and I enjoyed having it unfolded in pieces. I love having deliciously tortured pasts. :) Hunter and Brit may have not seen each other in three years, but none of their feelings ever diminished. Their relationship develops fast, and they feel so strongly for each other. Their sexy times were beyond sexy and their sweet times were adorable.

I liked this installment even more than Unbroken and I can’t wait to see what Melody has up her sleeve for us!

Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: It’s the kiss I’ve been waiting three long years to taste again, but it’s nothing like I imagined. Sweet and soft, hot and slow. My eyes drift shut with bliss as his mouth dances softly over mine. He’s barely touching me, but the shudder of pleasure that rolls through me is enough to make my heart stop and my legs buckle. Hunter wraps an arm around my waist, holding me up, and I sway into him, lost in the darkness.

Brittany Ray and Hunter Covington shared one very special perfect night together. Two completely different people from two completely different worlds, together until morning until morning comes, when Brit walks away.
"...You just showed up here like some Prince Charming, trying to sweep me off my feet. But I don't believe in fairytales, or handsome princes, or happily ever afters. Those things aren't real..."
Three years later Brit is struggling with the way her life is going. Trying so desperately to have more, but to constantly be turned down. Wanting more of a relationship as well but knowing that no matter how much you care about someone they will always leave you. No matter how hard she tries Brit will always be white trailer trash and the town slut....or will she?
"...The first time I saw her, I knew this girl was wilder than any stallion I'd ever trained. She was head strong, wounded, passionate, and free. And I had to have her..."
Hunter is a golden boy. Growing up a privileged, wealthy, and gorgeous guy living the perfect life. But perfect for someone other than him. After 3 years at Yale, Hunter up and quits school to move back to Beachwood Bay to try to salvage his grandpa's horse ranch. Hunter walked away from the privileged life to start living the life he always wanted and maybe just maybe finding the girl who's been living in his dreams and thoughts for the last 3 years.
"...You were right, about fairytale princes and happy endings. Magic is real. It's you and me. Together. Always. I believe..."
Can Brit open her self up and let Hunter in? Can she move past her fear of everyone leaving her? Can she open her self up to realize she's more than trailer trash with a bad reputation? Can Hunter win her over and capture her heart or will his big secret reveal be enough to destroy them? Can they find away together or will their pasts keep them apart and destroy everything?
I loved Unbroken. I fell in love with Emerson. I loved his story and his love for Juliet. I was leary I wouldn't like this book. I wasn't a fan of Brit in Unbroken, but as she was winning over Hunter, she was winning me over. Yes there were times I wanted to reach in the book and shake the crap out of Brit and knock some sense into her. There were times my heart broke for her and you just want to huge her. But in the end I loved her story and give Unafraid a Nerd Alert A or 5 stars. Melody Grace, what do you have in store for us next?

Wow. Just wow! Ever since I read Unbroken and Untouched I have been in love with Melody Grace's writing. Therefore I was super excited when I found out there was going to be another book and that said book was going to be about Brit! We don't see much of her in the first book and novella but I knew that she was going to be a really interesting character and to see her falling in love was going to be quite the journey!

I loved Brit. She has had so much shit in her life. She's just an ordinary girl with dreams and desires to be loved. But Brit thinks that things like that aren't for girls like her. I didn't like how Brit thought of herself. She was so much more than that. The progress that she made was amazing. She goes from thinking that she is nothing but then realizes that she DOES matter.

Everything that Brit thinks about herself is put to the test when Hunter, the golden boy, arrives in town. Brit and Hunter have a past. And both of them haven't quite been able to shake off that night they spent together years ago. So Hunter is back and will not stop until Brit is completely his. Hunter shows her that she can be happy and be happy with him! Their relationship was perfect. You guys have no idea how much I loved their story. It was filled with so many cute, sweet and scorching hot moments!

Anyway lets talk about Hunter. Why?!! Why can't Hunter be mine?! I'm completely happy with him being with Brit but I mean I wouldn't complain if I had a man like him! It's hard not to fall for Hunter. He's intense but incredibly sweet at other times. And soooooo SEXY!

THE STABLE SCENE! Omg I blushed and swooned so much! Hunter is like this intense super sexy man when he and Brit get stuff going on if you know what I mean! Yep that scene was one of my favorites!

Seeing Emerson and Juliet again was another aspect I loved about this book! I missed them!

I'm not sure if I'm correct but I saw somewhere that Garret is going to be getting his own book and I can't freaking wait!

honest review********

Melody Grace does it again! Another fantastic, steamy book that I didn't want to put down. I'm a big fan of the Beachwood Bay series and I think that Unafraid is my favourite yet. With feisty Brit and dominating Hunter, Unafraid is a book not to be missed.

When Hunter Covington walks back into Brittany Ray's life three years after they spent one unforgettable night together, it's impossible for her not to fall into his arms again. Though she tries to fight it, the connection and chemistry they share is undeniable and Hunter is determined to make her his, just like he should have done all those summets ago.

I loved Brit's character. She seemed strong but she also had a weak side. She was convinced that everyone she cares about leaves and to be honest, she had a lot of reasons to believe that. All of her family left her behind in Beachwood Bay so they could live their own lives away from the small beach town. She also had passion for her art and a dream of someday becoming a designer and proving everyone who doubted her wrong.

Hunter is from a very well off family but he's completely down to earth. He's caring and loyal and would do anything for Brit, but he's carrying around guilt from his past and is trying to escape his "perfect" image. He's also irresistibly sexy and oh my does he have the moves!

This wouldn't be a book by Melody Grace if it didn't have sexy times in it and I think it's safe to say that Unafraid contains one of the hottest scenes she has published to date. The barn scene. Trust me, you can't miss it. It was so hot I'm surprised that steam didn't start coming out of my kindle! I was not expecting THAT from Mr. Covington I'll tell you that much. Seriously. That scene alone is worth buying this book. Just make sure you have your partner/B.O.B handy ok? ;-)

Though it is super hot, it's not without the drama. As I said before, Hunter is consumed with guilt and his parents (well, his mother) like to take advantage of that at one point I was beginning to lose hope of a HEA but Melody doesn't disappoint! This book was fantastic and and Melody Grace has confirmed again that she is a author worthy of the Best Seller title. I can't wait for more and *fingers crossed* for more Garret because I LOVE him!

I loved this book. I’m going to go ahead and say it……no I’m not, Okay, I will…..I loved it even more than Unbroken and I loved Unbroken. You can find that review by clicking here.

From the moment Brit was introduced in Unbroken, I knew there was a story to tell there and Melody Grace told that story beautifully.

Brit and Hunter meet in her hometown while his family is vacationing there and spend a night together that both of them have had a hard time forgetting. They were basically each other’s “the one that got away”. When Hunter comes back into town three years later to run his grandfather’s ranch, Brit tries to keep him at arms length but that doesn’t last too long…..

They collide and when they do…oh god. The steam factor in this book was through the roof!

It’s far from smooth sailing though. Brit is insecure with abandonment issues and Hunter has a dark past of his own that controls his actions, even the ones regarding Brit.

I loved them both separately and together. It’s rare that you see a book couple complement each other the way these two do but they really do. Hunter is the encourager that Brit needs and Brit is the hope that Hunter needs.

I will admit I’m a sucker for books about lost love that found again but this book is much more than that. It’s sweet, funny, sexy, enthralling. It’s everything I look for in a book.

Definitely a five star read!!!

And I see that there will be a book 3…can’t wait! I love Lacey although, I did have a hunch that Garrett would be the next runner up for a book since he was in this book quite a bit. *Hint Hint* Melody…I’d really like to know his story ;)

ave you ever had or experienced one of those loves , where you spend such an amazing time together and then due to circumstances are forced apart and yo
u each go your separate ways , only to still feel and yearn for that one person ?
In Unafraid, we meet two people Hunter Covington whom used to spend his summers in Beachwood Bay has now returned to live on his inherited ranch. Hunter never much liked the whole "rich" business world and following in his father's footsteps, he would rather spend all day with the horses out in the scorching sun. The other is Brittany Ray, a waitress and aspiring fashion designer. She has had to stand up for her self and is the type of girl that you would sleep with for a good time but not introduce you to your parents. She's the type of girl who one might call a slut , whore, druggie etc without actually getting to know her first.
Three years ago , one night Brittany and Hunter hit it off and shared what can only be called a "night filled with steaming passion". Each has never forgotten or found anyone else like the other and now for the second time in their lives, they have found themselves crossing paths and this time neither is going anywhere and if Hunter has his way - he will have Brittany forever. However, Brittany isn't one to be wanted and has never experienced the feeling before. Can she handle Hunter ? What will happen though , when it's revealed that the pair of them are keeping secrets from one another ? Can they discover that they can trust each other and be "Unafraid" to venture into the territory of love ?

I was eagerly awaiting the release of UNAFRAID and Melody Grace did not disappoint. Just to clarify so no one is disappointed, Emerson Ray only makes a small appearance in the book. However that being said HOLY HELL hello Hunter Covington!

This story was the story of Brittany Ray. The girl who has been left behind so many times that she doesn't feel worthy of anyone's love. But 3 years ago she was the one who walked away from him and he has haunted her everyday since .

Hunter is from a well to do family that spent summers in the small town of Beachwood Bay but his return is for more than fixing up his Grandfather's old ranch. Hunter is a man on a mission to claim what walked away from him....Brit.

Let the swooning begin....Hunter had such determination in breaking down Brit's walls. He was compassionate and more than willing to give Brit an opportunity to fill her dream of becoming a designer. But Brit has fire and determination of her own and she fights him at every turn.

The chemistry between the characters was definitely HOT! Their game of cat and mouse only intensified their need for one another. One scene definitely speaks volumes....who knew a barn could be so........sexy!

While family obligations and guilt lie heavily on Hunter's conscience, Brit is left to fend for herself . Until she has had enough and decides it's time to lay all of her cards on the table. I can honestly tell you I was reduced to tears thinking that a happy ending was not in the cards for Brit. But Melody Grace proved me wrong and left me with a smile on my face.
