For those who came of age in the late 50s and early 60s this book offers a prescient view of Catholic and secular education in the United States.
A few opinions of the author are bound and encumbered by Ong’s moment in history, (the significance of which this book supurbly develops), but so much of his analysis has yet to be recognized.
This is a gem which will be rediscovered.
