The continuing adventures of Taylin and Ru as they set out to save a friend's child (and incidentally, the world). It's decently engaging, though it manages to feel both a bit rushed - with plot points hurtling in at a rapid rate - and yet also a bit slow, as the whole book more or less is just getting the pieces in place for the final novel in the series. Definitely not one to read as a stand-alone work.

This series continues on very well. Again, good character development, good world building and plot line that continues to fascinate. The usual objections continue as well, editing could be better, which doesn't bother me much, and the books are a bit short and end in cliffhangers, which does irritate me, but I will definitely continue.
