Craft beer is literally exploding across America and you want a piece of the action. Quite honestly, who wouldn't? Sit in an office all day or hang out in a brewery? Not a tough choice. It also is a business that you can grow exponentially if you do it right. This book guides you through the process from beginning to end by someone THAT HAS ACTUALLY DONE IT HIMSELF. Dan Woodske didn't go to brewschool, nor did he work at a brewery before he opened the Beaver Brewing Company. Now he owns and brews at a successful brewpub. Being the headbrewer and owner he has worked on every aspect of the brewpub business. He shares his experiences and takes you through the development stages, licensing, choosing equipment, hiring staff, and everything else you will need to open your own successful brewpub.
Great short book on starting a small business - brewing beer! The best line is, "Your beer doesn't need to taste good." We (and the author) know that's really not true but he's underlying the point that there is a lot of beer out there that isn't great but does a great job marketing itself. For the hobbyist looking to go pro, this is essential reading. It is not rocket science, Woodske often says it just common sense, but this provides an organized path to building your small brewery.
Looking for something interesting and short to spark some creavitity? This is worth it to the aspiring brewer and many others.
A great Xmas gift from my best bud. He knows I'm planning to open a nano-brewery this year. So this book was the perfect gift.
A perfect gift because it's - informative - easy to read. well written in a breezy but authoritative style - concise. each chapter is bam bam bam. next! - full of small useful tips
If you are planning to open a nanobrewery, this book is well worth the time and minimal investment.

An easy to read guide on things to consider when opening a brewery. At 100 pages nothing too detailed but more like a checklist of things to make sure you understand before opening your doors. Great advice that allows you to be creative with what he is telling you, your personality and goals will determine what you do with what he advises.
I'm glad this was a kindle unlimited book and I didn't actually pay more than my time for reading it. Mr Woodske could use the expert help of an editor and someone to actually organize the book into chapters for him. I know that some automated tools mangle manuscripts when converting to kindle format, but double check for gaps in page numbers, repeated content and the like, please.
Mostly words from the author on his experience. If you're looking for technical aspects of opening a small brewery, this book is not for you. However, i did take notes on some of the author's advice in the book.
Read it in one day while I was brewing. Informative, to the point, and no frills. If you have every thought about trying to turn your brewing hobby into an income, this book will help you see what all goes into the process and without being a huge time investment.
2.5 stars This worked well for a place to start, but not a lot of ground breaking information. Mostly just gets your mind turning and gives a checklist style layout.
