Her father owes a debt and to repay, she’s taken by the enemy.

Lennon
I’m not a lucky woman. At least I get it honest. My father has never won betting on horses, yet he keeps doing it until we are so deep in debt, it would take a hundred years to pay off.

Jack
I’m an enforcer for the Irish mob, and the moment I lay eyes on Lennon, I know she is mine. She’s soft, innocent, and the thoughts I have about her should be illegal. Paying her father’s debt off is the first step in keeping her, but convincing her to stay is going to be harder.

A good read of knowing when you meet the one
Lennon had just finished a long shift at the diner doesn’t have fair for a bus or a taxi so when she gets home, she shattered but she instantly knows something is wrong. Her dad is in a panic telling her to pack. She needs to leave now get out of town stay away. And in that second Lennon knows her father has been gambling again and this time he’s scared for her. Lennon had seen him be beaten before, but he couldn’t stop this addiction to gambling. But before she can get a bag together, there’s banging on the door and it’s now too late to escape two men walk in and one puts a gun to her dad‘s head asking for the money, money she knows he hasn’t got, but the guy called Jack comes up with a new plan. They are taking Lennon with them she should be scared but there is something about Jack that puts her at ease even after seeing him put a gun to her dad’s head.
Jack couldn’t believe they were back at this guy’s door. He knew he didn’t have the money and Jack’s boss. The leader of the Irish mob has told him to take the daughter as payment but as soon as she puts her hand in his, he knows he can’t do that. And that basically all happens in the first few chapter. This is an instant Love read and Jack will do anything to keep Lennon safe. The passion they share is extremely intense and hot. A real enjoyable Read.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Lennon hasn’t had the best childhood living in danger because of her father’s gambling debts until no matter how much she worked at the diner she barely made enough to feed them or keep him from borrowing, stealing and when she gets home one evening she knows something is wrong because her father is rushing her to pack, rushing her to leave town, to stay away and in his own way he was trying to protect her scared for her but before she could leave the door is kicked in demanding money. Jack sexy as all get out underboss to the Irish Mob boss was given a job go to collect the money from the gambler knowing he wouldn’t have it when he didn’t have it take his daughter as payment by his boss , now Jack isn’t a man you want on your radar he is danger, ruthless on a good day, deadly every day, but the moment he takes the little girl something shifts, and he knows no harm will come to her. The pull is there for them but for her she isn’t working so hard, but will she have freedom, what will happen to her father, has she found peace, and is there happiness for them?

Lucky With You by Darcy Rose

Lennon and Jack deliver enemies-to-lovers at its absolute finest. This story had me hooked from the start—the chemistry, the tension, and the emotional pull were all perfectly done. The connection between the characters felt natural and flowed effortlessly, making it easy to stay fully invested until the very end.

There was never a dull moment. The twists and turns kept things exciting, and I loved the push-and-pull dynamic between Lennon and Jack—it added so much depth and intensity to their relationship. Every moment felt purposeful, and the payoff was incredibly satisfying.

This book brought all the feelings and more, and I couldn’t have been happier with how everything unfolded. I’m already looking forward to seeing what Darcy Rose gives us next!

Lennon (h) experiences upheaval and danger in her life due to her father’s increasing gambling debts until Irish mob enforcer Jack (H) shows up at their meager apartment demanding the money or her. Jack instantly falls for the young woman and instead of taking her to his boss he takes her to his apartment where he tries to convince her he’ll keep her safe. But the boss wants Lennon, and pair have to try and elude his men, even as the heat and attraction builds between them. Hot and steamy enemies to lovers Irish mafia romantic quickie with a side or danger.

This one was just okay for me. The spice was definitely the highlight—hot, intense, and exactly what I was hoping for. But the story itself felt a bit flat and didn’t fully keep my attention.

The premise had a lot of potential, but it didn’t quite deliver the depth or excitement I wanted. I did like the dynamic between Lennon and Jack, but I found myself wishing for more development and a stronger plot to balance out the heat.

Overall, worth it if you’re here for the spice, but the storyline just didn’t hit as hard for me.

I thought that this was a good book. This book was short, steamy and drama filled. I really enjoyed Lennon and Jack together. One look is all it took from Jack to know that Lennon was for him but he is there to get money from her father. Lennon knows that she should be scared and running away from Jack but she feels safe for the first time in years. I am glad that these to able to truly fall in love and get an HEA.

Lucky with you is book four in the Spicy Holiday Collection Series is a short story that follows Jack Delaney and Lennon. Lennon has never been lucky, at anything, so when her father’s gambling debt’s become too high, she’s taken as repayment. Jack knew the moment he saw Lennon that she was special, meant to become his and his alone. Taking Lennon from her home? Easy. Keeping her safe and in his bed.. that’s the part that matters.

This was an okay read. I feel like it would have benefited more if it had been a full-length book because then there could have been more buildup and more details. I feel like it kind of fell short when they went back to find out the consequences of going on the run. It didn't make sense, but I really liked Lennon's vows to Jack.

I’m new to Darcy Rose and I’m so happy i have discovered her. This was a great dark romance. Lennon has had quite the upbringing due to her father’s gambling and poor life decisions. She is working and trying to always cover for him. The Jack comes in and things get ever more intense. This book has me from page one and I’m looking forward to the others in the series.

Lennon's father had a gambling problem that left the family owing a lot of debt. Jack is an enforcer sent to collect payment for the debt, but ends up falling for Lennon instead. Lucky With You is a short and steamy addition to the Spicy Holiday Collection. The writing is good, the characters are well developed, and the ending is good. An enforcer for the Irish mob comes to collect on a debt, but leaves with his obsession. What follows is an adventure, not necessarily a good one, which includes lots of heat and then their happily ever after. The leads make a cute couple.

A Short and Steamy Novella. Hard working waitress - Lennon tried to make ends meet but her gambling father made that more difficult for her. More so when his recent debt is called in by Jack who works for the Irish mob. It seemed that Lennon was the price of the debt. Only instant attraction and close proximity brought them together for some steamy scenarios. A good read with characters I liked.
