Dear Mex,

Firstly, what kind of name is that?
I bet your real name is something like Greg, or George, or Bob
I’d be ashamed, too.
Secondly, who the hell do you think you are?
You come in here all tough and rugged, acting like a hero, thinking you know what you’re doing.
You have no idea.
You don’t know a single thing about me.
Gosh, if you did, you would know you’re playing with fire.
You want what I have – don’t they all?
Here’s the thing, Mex, you’ll never get it.
You’ll never get a single thing out of me.
So, lock me up in your wilderness bunker, keep me cold and hungry.
My desperation will only strengthen my resolve.
I won’t break.
Keep me here until the flesh rots from my bones, but I promise you…
I. Won’t. Break.
You’re nothing on the horrors I’ve seen.
You’re handsome, though. At the very least, we could have some fun while you’ve got me chained up here, like a wild animal.
Anyway, I look forward to what you have planned.
Because I promise you, Mex, it’s nothing on what I’ve got up my sleeve.
Let’s go. Me verse you. We’ll see who comes out on top.

Sincerely yours,
Acacia.

Mex is book four in the series and I would recommend reading the others so you get a feel for the character dynamics and the MC. Acacia lives what can only be called a complicated hard life where she is constantly juggling people and situations just to survive. Mex and the MC want information and believing that Acacia has it they take her to get those answers. Some of the guys actions are hard to read, let's just say they don't go easy on her because she is a woman. There is intense attraction between Mex and Acacia that complicates things. It was difficult to decide who was using who at times but getting some of her thoughts made me want all her scheming to work. I liked the involvement of the previous characters especially the women. There is fun banter, sexy times, excitement and danger all that I've come to expect from this series.

Wow!!! What a fantastic addition to the series! This is an intense and exciting read. Mex is demanding answers and he thinks Acacia has them. Acacia has had a rough upbringing and doesn’t know who to trust. When Mex comes at her demanding answers she doesn’t have she digs in. The chemistry between these two is palpable. This story is full of loyalty, bravery, revenge and betrayal. Can Mex and Acacia come out on top?

Nothing actually happened. The FMC was tough as nails tho and hella smart.

The connection and romance just wasn't there. The hero was more like a side character with no back bone

I didn’t get this book at all - like what the hell just happened?!

Was it fast paced - yes
Did I want to keep reading - yes
Was it a romance - big old nope from me

I honestly don’t get the Mex/ Acacia ‘relationship’ if we can even call it that.

They had sex, he watched her get beat up by other men in his club, they had a threesome so he could lock her in a room - which nearly resulted in her getting raped. Then she lied and pointed them in the other direction to another bad guy - and she’s the one in the wrong.

I have never read a book that confused me this much.

There was just so much random stuff happening, I felt like it needed to be both longer and shorter.

I’m not even touching Marek right now. Why are we talking about him basically being a human trafficker but like setting him up for a love story with hints like one day he’ll fall in love. The only thing I can hope is this is setting up a story where someone he loves takes him down - but I swear if we try to paint him as an anti-hero I’ll be done. Because there’s bad that’s a bit interesting and there’s bad that there is no coming back from. Human trafficking = bad there is no coming back from.

I love the dark romances, and so far this series has been 50/50 for me because I liked the first two books, the third book and the whole hooking up with your aunts ex thing skeeved me out a bit but I was willing to overlook cause they seem well matched. But there was anything here to create a relationship out of.

They barely spoke, had sex, were awful to each other and she’s like I love him. No no no no!

For a dark romance to work there needs to be the romance element and it wasn’t here.

So to sum up my ranting I just didn’t get this one at all and it stressed me out and I’m annoyed because I think acacia in particular was an interesting character who I wanted to see full in love - but just not for a pretty face and some sex….

What’s everyone else thinking?

Mex by Bella Jewel, is the fourth book in the Prisoners of Purgatory MC Series, Mex is part of the MC and is tired of waiting for the answers that this girl has and that they need so much, so he decides to kidnap her. Acacia is the daughter of a more than evil woman who knows no good and works for an even crueler man. He tries to get the information, but Acacia is not willing to be manipulated, she has had a hard life, and is strong and resilient, which takes Mex only so far, so, with the MC's agreement, they team up to try to solve who this mysterious person is that they need to find to end everything. Only when the attraction between them begins to grow, a difficult situation becomes even more complicated.
This story is one of intense emotions, with twists and turns that will have you trapped between its pages, with action, revenge, betrayal, danger, suspense and of course love, this is not a story for everyone since there are some themes that are touched on that they can be triggers, so I advise you to read the list of factors that are touched and can affect, before starting to read, if there is nothing that affects you and you decide to read it, prepare yourself because it's a story that will take you on a journey of the emotions. Totally Recommended!

Totalmente Recomendada!

This was another exciting addition to this series. I didn’t know what to expect with this book because Mex has always been the quiet and intense member. He certainly had one spitfire on his hands with Acacia. This woman seems to be several steps ahead of those around her with a spine of steel and a spirit unlike any other. This series has been incredible, and I can’t wait for the final book. I have been wanting Fury's story every since Nightmare. If you love MC romance, you are missing out if you haven’t started reading the Prisoners of Purgatory. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Bella Jewel's back with the fourth book from her Prisoners of Purgatory series.

Main protagonists Mex and Acacia were two fantastically brought to life characters, who together were perfectly imperfect for one another. Mex is one of those characters you hated to love in the beginning, loyal to his brothers yet rough and tough on Acacia however do not be fooled, she could handle herself around him, her strength and bravery shone through on more than one occasion. As for spiciness, you could feel the heat pouring from the pages when these two went at it, with both hatred and passion.

The storyline was extremely well written, with combustible tension and chemistry which was perceptible throughout the pages, guaranteeing readers are kept captivated from start to finish. A great addition to the series, one I highly recommend.

First Nightmare, then Colt and now Mex! He's definitely the underdog that I'm glad got to show more.

Mex got tired of waiting for answers to take down the bad guy, so he does what he does best and goes rouge. He hunted down a lead, and it just so happened to lead him to Acacia. She is the daughter to a nefarious woman who knows no good and works for an even crueler man. He tries taking her but that only gets him so far, so with the agreement from the MC they team up together to try to solve who this mysterious person is. All the while, they are at an impasse with each other, and Acacia and Mex may just happen to be falling for each other.

Emotions become intense in this fast-paced novel. I was happy, sad, bothered, hot and even mad. I love seeing the original characters from the first 3 books makes appearances throughout the novel. But as much as Colt and Nightmare may seem tough and badass with their woman, they are nothing compared to Mex. He's looks or seems cold hearted like he doesn't care, but in reality, he cares too much. He won't show it, but he cares about the MC and when Acacia needed him, he was there. Even when he was hurt, he still showed up for her to help, protect and be possessive over her. I can't wait to see which one of these bikers is next. I'm hoping for Fury!! He's the heart and sensible one of the group. He's always ready to keep someone on their toes while making sure everyone is loved and care for. Thank you, Bella Jewel & Valentine PR, for an ARC copy Mex. I greatly appreciate this opportunity.

I had such high hopes for this one after the first few chapters. Acacia was a badass heroine who had lived a dangerous life - though it was mostly told but not described - she'd do anything to leave behind.

The MC is after her mother and who she works with, but Mex is done waiting. Kidnapping and trying to break Acacia seems like a faster way to get the information they need. But she's not one to break easily.

The story was good, great even, but the connection between Mex and Acacia was basically non-existent. They didn't trust each other at all and there was nothing but physical attraction.

Mex is book four in the Prisoner's of Purgatory MC and is Mex and Acacia's book. I would recommend reading the previous three books just to understand the character dynamics but it's not necessary. This book was a good read and definitely kept me intrigued. I'm excited to see what's next.

Mex by Bella Jewel is the 4th book in the Purgatory Series. This is the story of Acacia and Mex. This is a interconnecting series, so it does add to the enjoyment if you read the previous books. Mex is determined to bring down the bad guys that they have been fighting. That leads him to take Acacia who he finds isn't an easy person to crack. But then he starts to catching feelings which just adds to the mix. Acacia hasn't had it easy so she isn't going down without a fight.

Mex was amazing. It was easy to read and fast paced. The writing was well done and the characters were perfectly imperfect. I loved and hated Mex. He was rough, tough, and loyal. Acacia was amazing. I loved her bravery and her strength. The story was action packed and fill with betrayal and revenge. The ending seemed a bit rushed and some questions were definitely unanswered but hopefully it will be resolved in the next book. The spicy scenes were so good and I loved the hate and passion both characters felt for each other.

Wow talk about dive in right from the very beginning. Mex is holding Acacia "prisoner" in the belief that she has information that he and the MCC need. But, Acacia is a tough nut to crack and tells him straight, that he won't break her. Your not drawn into an instalove from the start, but you do get an instalust between Mex and Acacia, which is also quite hard to figure out in your head given how Mex is treating Acacia. Acacia has a very complex life, and to be honest I still haven't put it all together. You have this huge pot with Marek, a man who clearly abuses her, her mum's disappearance, her stepdad Death and I admit it i'm totally confused how they all fit together and also why the MCC are after them. But that all kind of fades away as we Acacia doing whatever she can to just survive, knowing there's no way she can escape the wrath of Marek and the MCC her only hope is try and manoeuvre her way around the MCC whilst she attempts to keep Marek happy and escape from his clutches. Meanwhile the relationship between Mex and Acacia turns up more than few notches, you clearly see feelings getting involved, steam +++ scenes and then inevitable storm erupts.

This is a highly complex book, which even now there's a lot that feel I don't quite understand, however there is a MFC who has a strength that you will kind of understand, and an MMC who is rough with raw emotions. There is trust, betrayal, love, hate and so much more that will keep you turning pages. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and to the authors words at the end coming to fruition.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the story of Mex and Acacia. This girl lives a life that is not easy and full of chaos. She has to juggle all kinds of situations just to survive. Life has not been kind to her and it's about to get even more unkind when she is taken by Mex and the MC. They are on the hunt for answers. Answers that they believe she has and are going to go to any lengths necessary to get them. Being the captive though doesn't stop the attraction that forms between her and Mex and this only complicates an already complicated situation. This also leads to one using the other at times and it gets super difficult to tell who is using who at times. If you have read the rest of the book in the series then you are going to get to see some previous characters in this book and I love always catching up with characters from a series. This book was good and it will keep you on your toes as you are reading.

Acacia finds herself kidnapped by Mex because she has the information he needs to help his MC Club. Mex unfortunately underestimates Acacia and she manages to get away. Then their lives become intertwined with the MC trying to find her and other people in her life. While Acacia is trying to get back in with them to get the information she needs. Bella keeps you on the edge of your seat, turning the pages with all the twists and turns in the story and all the feels.
I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for NNBB. This is Book Three in the Prisoners of Purgatory and starts where Book Three Colt ended with the MC looking for Mex and Acacia. It can be read as a standalone if you wish. But it is better to read the other three books in the series to keep up with the others and their stories who appear in the book. If you love an MC romance with some angst and lots of twists and turns you will love this book. There may be some triggers for people in this book therefore heed the author's warnings.

Mex is the fourth book in the Prisoners of Purgatory series. I have read and loved every story so far and I am happy to say this book was no different. Not going to lie and say that I loved it from the start because I didn’t. In the beginning I was a bit concerned that Ms. Jewel might have turned me off with the way Mex was with Acacia. While I understand she wasn’t innocent I was having a hard time rooting for him when he was treating her so poorly. That being said, although their connection was mostly physical in the beginning it definitely grew and I enjoyed watching it happen. My heart hurt knowing they had feelings for each other but they always got in their own way. Do not even get me started about those two and Fury….H-O-T!!!

Such a great story and I am anxious to continue reading the next book in the series.

Thank you for the ARC!

Acacia begins this book being kidnapped by Mex in order to get information out of her. She has had a difficult life and seems to think she is above anyone being able to hurt her. She is devious, an epic liar and has no issue using people to get what she wants. I have to say that I did not like her at all. She claimed that she couldn't get out of her current predictament, but she could have. She also feels like she has no reason to answer for what she did. Marek was beyond cruel and, yet, she played into his games. I really don't see what Mex could have found to be endearing about her. She used him consistently and had no regrets about doing it. Her only regret came when she was caught. I didn't really feel a connection between them. This book was solely from her POV and her head wasn't a good place to be stuck in. Bonnie and Mayla taking an instant like to her? Come on. Parts of this book came off as way more like a bad thriller.

This is the 4th book in this incredible series and this is Mex and Acacia’s story. Mex is part of the MC, and they believe that Acacia has the information that they need. Acacia is tough, resilient, and she has had a horrific life, and as her life is complicated, she does not know who to trust and who not to.
This is a well written story which is an action packed, brutal, and an emotional roller coaster, with palpable and undeniable chemistry, loyalty, revenge, violence, betrayal, danger, suspense, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, twisted, tragic, haunting, and steamy addictive page turner, which is not for the faint-at-heart.
Be aware of the trigger warning due to the sensitive content!
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

The book is fast paced and action packed.
It had me on the edge of my seat almost throughout the book. All the suspense was nerve wracking.
Acacia has lead a difficult life. Always living and surrendered by danger and dangerous people.
She’s always planning, conniving and trying to outmaneuver everyone.
Acacia is caught between an evil man and the Prisoners of Purgatory.
Basically she’s between a rock and a hard place.
Mex is determined to get the information his club desperately needs from Acacia by any means necessary. And he will go to any lengths to get it.
What neither of them count on is the chemistry that’s brewing with them.
The intensity of it is heavy and I could practically feel it with each flip of the pages.
I adore the men of the Prisoners of Purgatory MC and looking forward to the rest of their individual books.

If when you start reading, you think the situation is difficult, you have another thing coming. By the end of the book you'll realized, that was just the beginning. You wont get warm fuzzy feelings with this book. Their story doesn't feel that it's about love and attraction. It feels more that is driven by desire and self preservation. There's always an angle to play. And it has a lot to do with Acacia having a harden exterior. She is unapologetic. But I like that she evolves. It's a difficult situation the one that she is in with Mex. And he doesn't make it easy either. This biker is cruel, reserved, and it takes quite a bit for him to open up just the tiny bit (which is disappointing at times). BUT, there is hope for them.

Mex by Bella Jewel,
Ok so don’t hate me but I don’t know how to feel about this one. I don’t know if it was just me of was i simply missing something? Don’t get me wrong it was a good story I just felt like it was missing something or like it was rushed. Oh and another thing the tittle is miss leading at least to me it felt like it was. I was expecting to get more of Mex to get his side of the story to get his perspective or at least get a lot more of him then we actually do. This was all about Acacia. With that said it’s still very much a book that I enjoyed just not as much as the others before it. I would still recommend it for sure because this author does an amazing job at giving us great stories and great chemistry.

One thing you can be sure of with a Bella Jewel story is that you never will get bored, Mex the 4th book in this highly addictive series, is full of twists, turns, plots, and side plots right from the start, well Mex has already kidnapped Acacia and is trying to get information from her regarding her dangerous mother, but what I always love about Ms Jewel she always make's her heroines strong and Acacia isn't going to give in to this hot, dark and dangerous biker, he knows nothing about the life she has had and strength has been her best friend.

So hold on to those bike handles, as these two firey characters go about their complex journey to another explosive end.

Definitely not for me. I read it but it was so far from Nightmare, I wondered if someone else wrote this. There was extensive violence toward the main female character on both parts, good and bad guys. I was disappointed at how abusive the club was when they were trying to get info from her. Mex allowed it to happen which made him as bad as Marick. If you skipped this one, you wouldn't miss much. Neither love interest had any connection except for sex and I felt disconnected to both of them. Also, the author made sweet Bonnie from Nightmare into something I felt was out of character for her. It was a big no, but I really want to read Fury, so here I go.

The three stars is only because I can’t bring myself to mark one of Bella Jewel’s book lower. I love her books, even though I think she sometimes lets the guy off too easily, but OMG! Mex was an absolute dick and his actions made no sense. I mean, it was completely forgotten about the fact that he was blatantly f**king other people, and don’t even get me started on how she was almost r&ped because of Mex being an a-hole. I just couldn’t get past that with this book. It was too disjointed and the emotions were all over the place. I hope Fury’s book is better.

In my humble opinion, of course 💙

What an intense read this was, actually the whole series has been intense, and I am here for all of it. Dying for more each time I finish a book. Mex and Acacia are insanely hot together, even though they probably should never of been together in the first place. What started out completely unconventional turned into something alot more. Acacia definitely has some stuff to work through in this read, but wow she is one bada$$ girl.
