Lily Ross was having another miserable day at work when tall, dark, and stunningly handsome walked in and swept her off her feet.
Over one passionate weekend, mysterious Connor Brooks leads Lily through a world of sensual delights and showers her with wealth and extravagance beyond her wildest dreams.
But every forbidden fruit comes with a price.
Connor is not the man he claims to be, and dangerous figures from his past are lurking in the shadows, waiting to destroy him – and Lily, too, if she gets in their way.
Because of frank depictions of sexuality and use of profanity, All That He Wants Volume 1 is intended for Mature Audiences only.
LOVED this! Read Vol 1 & 2 in one go. I'm now sleep deprived but its so worth it! I couldn't put it down. Can't get enough of Connor & Lily. I'm just so glad all the books are out before I started reading this otherwise I would have gone crazy from waiting. This series is HOT, FUNNY & CAPTIVATING! Just PERFECT! A definite MUST read. I'm now having a Connor/ Lily hangover. I want more! I've placed this on my rereads and I must thank Mila for this recommendation. It's more than I hoped for.
Hilarious....drama...lots of kinky fuckery...a hot H (a little alpha)---it was a great book, I immediately copped the 2nd volume, couldn't get enough! This a must read good readers !!
3.5 stars. so for the most part i enjoyed this book, or rather books, but it was nothing id give rave reviews for...until the cliffhanger ending happened and i kinda sorta...yelled a little. When I got so upset about not knowing what happened (though i totally called the plot twist) i realized i was enjoying them more than i thought. Ok so before i start my review i feel the need to address this whole "if you loved 50 shades read this" thing thats in the blurb. I personally chose not to read 50 shades because to me it sounded like an abusive man taking advantage of a girl who eventually learned to like the sex...it didnt seem healthy. But even beyond that this series so far has in no way shape or form resembled 50 shades. There isnt BDSM at all really..some spanking and a little tie me up tie me down but nothing that i would say was worthy of the BDSM title. On to the review. The heroine (other than some writing issues which ill address later) was actually really enjoyable. she was snarky without being bitchy and i adored how she didnt let the heros status intimidate her she totally stood up to him at every turn. The hero was a mixed bag of tricks. Mostly i liked him for his mischievous personality and how he cares about the people hes made his family (not necessarily his real family). On the other hand he occasionally had jerk moments especially towards the heroine. Just a couple examples: he strolls into her work place putting down her job (which admittedly was sucky) but saying that she should quit and failing to so was because of her low self esteem. hmmmm...or how about because its not so easy to just quit a job and find a new one when you arent a BILLIONAIRE?! (props to heroine for pointing all these things out but still i found it awfully rude to imply she had low self esteem just because she wouldnt just up and quit a crappy job with a boss who was a jerk). Also it ticked me off as much as it did the heroine when he just assumed throwing money at her (like a high priced call girl) would make her quit said sucky job and travel the world with him...but only until he gets bored and doesnt want her anymore (granted he doesnt say it exactly like that but its implied). The romance as it stands is a little lacking. We have some fairly sweet moments and the heroine has informed us she loves him which was really awkward and abrupt but the hero is pretty mum about anything other than his desire for her sexually. The sex scenes...wow...and not really in a good way necessarily. His dick is thick (hey maybe ill be like the adult dr suess tehe)...its amazing and thick and thick and amazing and amazingly thick....im seriously not kidding in every sex scene we hear some combo of these words. I wanted to scream OK WE GET IT DUDE IS PACKING! And also has anyone ever come across a book where a dude is just like normal and doesnt have like a horse sized penis? I mean seriously at one point she says she can only fit 2 in of him in her mouth because hes so big....SAY WHAAAAAAT?! No thank you sir! Then theres the scene which im pretty sure contains a mathematical word problem that would allow usto figure out exactly how long he is (i skipped it since i was never very good at those). still there were some really hot moments once you get past how amazing and thick...oh and i forgot lovely she always tells us how lovely it is too...his equipment is. The plot isnt anything new wealthy playboy/businessman gets drawn in by the lowly secretary who isnt afraid to stand up to him. Only real deviation is that she isnt his secretary. Still the story was enjoyable though we were only just getting to learn about the heros interesting past when it ended (the heroines past is BORING by all accounts weve had so far which is rather disappointing i mean couldnt she at least have had like a bad relationship or something?). The writing was also a mixed bag of tricks. The book is written in 1st person POV from the heroines perspective (personally i wouldve liked it to be switched back and forth but thats just me). The majority of the book sounded a lot like a sorority girls diary...less obnoxious sounding than an actual sorority girl but still not altogether fun. The last part of the volume gets much better but theres alot that was just over the top O.M.G crap. Still i have to admit in some places...mostly in the heroines interactions with secondary characters it was actually really entertaining and actuall ended up making it ok instead of painful. Still i think those scenes couldve worked and the overall story couldve been better served by a 3rd person POV which to me just makes a book sound better. I liked that the author wrote a fairly strong heroine but why the hell did she make her so obsessed with his manly parts?! I mean he basically just has to say sex and she just drops whatever shes saying and spreads her legs (then again maybe if i had one that amazingly thick...but i digress). Also as i mentioned though the heroines personality made her interesting her personal story is utterly boring. Loving family, college degree, perfectly nice boyfriends with perfectly stoic breakups...i just want just a teensy bit of drama so the balance isnt so drastically balanced in favor of the hero in that department. I enjoyed this enough to keep going but as to whether or not id recommend it...youll have to check back for my next review because i just dont know yet. Though i have to admit despite the annoying writing format and extensive focus on his junk it was really funny overall.
The individual books all kind of ran together, so I'm rating the 4 as a whole. Overall, I didn't hate the story. I really like Lilly, though I found her to be a doormat in comparison to other billionare romance female leads. She did a lot more following than she did standing up for herself. Connor, while somewhat self-assured, was kind of a pussy when it mattered. A lot could have been avoided if he had listened to those he paid good money to. The spicy scenes were hot as fuck!! Honestly, those were the best parts of the story. Everything else kind of ran together and I was ready for the main plot to come to a close.
The writing needs work. The CAPITALS, the italics, and the italicized CAPITALS, to me, we're just a way to avoid writing well. If you can ignore the implied drama through fonts, and I obviously couldn't, it's an ok book. It starts with a business transaction where she works for a horrid boss. From there, the book moves to a strip poker game, business, sex, business, sex. A number of the scenes needed a more ruthless editor-- the scenes helped the story along, but many were overly long and skipping through them didn't seem to cause me to miss anything. To me, the real highlight was meeting H's parents at the end. Unfortunately, it wasn't interesting enough for me to want to struggle through part 2 (of however many parts this book was broken into).
This is a review on "all that he wants" & "all that he loves " parts 1-7
Well , that was quiet a nice novel , I liked lily a lot - though she kept saying that she wasn't that experienced , I mean come oooooon !! She was 23 and had 4 boyfriends ! - but she acted in many situations just like I would , if I were her . Conor was fine as well but I just wanted to strangle the life out of him just a couple of times . One of them when he babbled “No pollution, and energy independence from the Middle East. Surely you’d like our country not to have to depend on the whims of OPEC and countries that don’t have our interests at heart? I mean, we’re talking about regimes that fund terrorists” ..... SERIOUSLY ?!! The Middle East countries fund terrorists ? The problem is most Americans think so while in fact terrorists are always paid by the american government to set wars in the Middle East , and when they turn on them , they say : Middle East countries were funding them ! Sorry for the political interlude . Overall , I loved this novel and I even liked "All that he loves" better . I am looking forward to read Connor 's point of view cause it's always more fun to go through a guy's head ;)
I think the best part about this book was the banter between the H/h. This was a cute read, and it's a good thing the author combined the book into one book, because if it wasn't for that fact, i'm not sure if I would've enjoyed it or stayed with the story compared to if it was a novella. This was your typical rich billionaire falls in love with middle class working girl, but what set it apart was the dialogue. I found it so light and refreshing that I couldn't help continuing with their story page after page. Overall cute office romance!!
THIS a keeper, a few reminence of FSOG but, I like the story, the characters (loved Lily and her inner nerd) can't wait for Sebastian to be finally introduced. I think Ms. Thorne just got a new fan. One to volume 2 ^-^
Well Ms. Thorne...I'm impressed! Very HOT reading!! Connor has a slightly perverted sense of humor (understatement of the year) but it just adds to his charm:p
So Im at 5%. One sentence: "And seen the NUMBER". GRAMMAR CHECK!!!! GET A PROOF READER. 10%, "You feel that? You do that to me"...then we have yet another never ending trite, overly done "please" as she touches him... I can see a lot of "thought" was put into this one!! If you want a story, it isnt here! Its stated that if you liked 50 Shades, you'll like this one! Nooooo, 50 Shades had an authentic story line and every chapter did not have descriptive sex to fill in the LACK OF story line. Lily had a great education yet stayed at a crappy job and has no self esteem. Toward the end she is approached by a woman in her 20s without a wrinkle???? In their 20s??? Folks, its a sex fest! There is no story HERE.
This is the first for me from this author and I kind of wished I discovered her sooner!! A great read and very entertaining.
I really enjoyed this volume but I will say, I’m not a fan of cliffhangers. Also, why are all the books in this volume so short?
The character development could have been better but I did enjoy getting to know these characters as much as I could with what details were given. I think if the author focused more on the characters and removed the extra dialogue then you could have wrapped everything in this one volume. I also wished there was dual view point. It would have been great to see things from Connor’s perspective.
DNF @ 30%. I am apparently in the minority here. I cannot get into this story at all due to the h’s inner dialogue. Her narration is full of tangents and squirrel moments. Also, for the H being so “alpha,” he is quite unsure of himself. And the screaming. Oh my goodness. The screaming. 🙄 I can’t do this anymore.
What I truly enjoyed about this book was that it was a lot like a man who never got to be free finally met someone he could be free with. We haven't ventured into the heartbreaking and emotions yet but I loved how carefree this initial book was
OMG the book gives a great wet to my panties. I just can’t get how the Main Character keep up with it. This book gives me hotness every page. It is like BOOM next page BOOM next page BOOM next page. A never ending of touching myself series.
3.5 Lily is working late on a Friday night because her jerk boss told her to. She meets Connor, a prospective buyer of the jerk's company. Connor starts flirting with Lily, makes her boss apologies to her, and tells her she is awesome. I like that about Conner, he wasn't mean or brooding, he laughed and made Lily feel good about herself. He wanted to use his money to change the world for the better. My issue was the writing. Lily talked in parenthesis, gave warnings about the future (ex. I would learn later tonight), kept saying "if you know what I mean" in her internal monologues, and during the sex scene kept using the word "his unit" and kept expounding on how big it was for pages. As the story progresses it does get better. The scene when Lily meets Connor's parents was a favorite. There really wasn't any conflict between Connor and Lily. The sex got hotter, more interesting and more frequent as the story moved on, and I didn't feel like they were there to fill up pages. Connor and Lily were sweet and fun together. I liked their banter and their conversations, they felt natural.
I don't even know where to begin. I couldn't put it down! Up half the night finishing the books. All the characters, just touch you in some way or another. You want to scream, and yell, but then you are laughing your head off. Some pull at your heartstrings, while others make you want to throat punch them. You are rooting for them, and get upset when it doesn't happen the way you want it to. Olivia Thorne, is one of the better writers when it comes to these books. She messes with your emotions, but makes you feel like you are inside the book, going through everything with Lily and Connor.. Sebastian, will have you laughing hard, while in the back of your mind, you are hoping Johnny and Anh, will some how get together also. You hate Connor's family with a passion, but towards the end, you are kind of hoping, the family makes amends.
I wish there was more books in this series, so that they can continue on with all the characters..
I finished this series in 24 hours.. I'm rereading it!!!!
I'm trying to think where the hell was I when this series came out??? This book has it all, drama, comedy, you name it.. The characters are hilarious especially Sebastian!!! I found myself laughing out loud many times!! I loved Lily and Connor! They were just too funny! This is not your typical billionaire meets poor girl book!! There are no dark demons that the characters need to overcome. It's just all around good book... I am currently reading the next volumes and I am deliberately taking my time because I do not want this series to end LOL.. Great read and I am definitely going to read more from this author!!!
This book has it all. Connor is a gorgeous billionaire whose path crosses with Lily Ross who is the assistant to an executive of a consulting firm. One Friday night while being forced to work late for her cantankerous boss, she meets the most gorgeous man she's ever seen who claims to be from a rival company and has authorization to review some files. It all takes off from there. They have a steamy whirlwind weekend but it may not end there. Lily and Connor are amazing characters and I fell in love with them instantly. The story is strong and very well written. Each character has such a strong personality that they seem real. I really loved this book.
Fantastic and scorchingly hot story. My only issue was that by the end of the book, I was thinking, "Really, you really need to tell me again how incredibly LARGE Connor is". I get it, the man is an Adonis, but I don't think it was necessary to mention his "blessed" gift of size every single sex scene (and believe me when I tell you this...there is A LOT of sex). Perfect book for someone who enjoyed "Fifty Shades", "In Flight" and "Crossfire" series...another book that has a female lead with a hoohah made of steel. Enjoy ladies!
I read part one because it was free on iTunes. It started off slow, but I ended up purchasing both volumes because it kept me guessing the entire time. The perfect a out of sex, drama, suspense, and true love. I loved how comical it could be too. I do hope she continues the story, but makes it an entire book as opposed to smaller parts. When purchased as a volume it was better read. Please, Olivia, keep the story going.
I couldn't put it down-read almost vol.1 & 2 in the same night. I'm glad that I waited to read the entire thing because how she broke it into 7 small books would've annoyed me. I loved the wit & the banter of the characters. Reminds me of 50 Shades, but with a not so scary hot guy with a sense of humor.
It had me hooked from the very beginning. It had it all. It was funny, sweet, smexy (my version of smut/sexy), heartbreaking and I literally could not stop reading it.
