Big Nate, who is always notoriously unprepared for class, turns to divine intervention to spare him!Aspiring cartoonist Nate Wright is the star of Big Nate, the daily and Sunday comic strip. As a popular middle-grade book character, Nate is 11 years old, four-and-a-half feet tall, and the all-time record holder for detentions in school history. He's a self-described genius and sixth grade Renaissance Man. Nate, who lives with his dad and older sister, enjoys pestering his family and teachers with his sarcasm.
Lincoln Peirce is a cartoon artist from Portland, Maine. He lives with his wife and two children, and occasionally gives lectures to students about cartoon creating. The book Big Nate Pray for a fire drill by Lincoln Perice. I do not read Big Nate that much but when I do I love it. It would be cool if they made a movie.
This book was about Nate's girl getting stolen and then going steady for one day. Then Nate try's to go steady with a random girl and then they break up after 5 minutes. Then their is a test in social studies and Nate did not prepare. Nate mentioned that they had not had a fire drill in a while.
I recommend this book for people that like comedies.
A collection from a comic strip...about a kid, primarily occurring during a school year. Pretty cute really. The creator was born in Iowa & was a teacher, & has drawn comics for 20 years!
I read this for the current kindle challenge. I can see the appeal to middle school kids. It’s cute with a little adult humor threaded in. I appreciate the talent it takes to be a cartoon artist and Lincoln Pierce has tapped into the mind of a middle schooler!
I read it all the time. It’s awesome. Can you make more books like this? I love big Nate it is the best. Eleanor this is Eleanor speaking I love big Nate! Can you please make Nate have another girlfriend. I am a kid and I always read big Nate it’s the best.
The novel starts off with Nate and his friends playing Monopoly. Nate wins and taunts them because he has such a big ego. Later on, in school, he finds out that his crush Jenny is dating a boy T. J. Nate, having a big ego, tells everyone that T.J is not mean't for Jenny and he is perfect for her. Days after this, he realizes in the cafeteria that there is an empty wall. He decides to tell his teacher that he is going to use that wall to make a mural of himself. Instead, his teacher decides to make the mural as a class art project. Nate tries many more times to show his affection for Jenny. He made a poem based on her characteristics, and gave her his hair and accidentally sneezed on her food. The next day, Nate wonders why there was no fire drill and wanted a fire drill during his social studies test review. I rate this book with 3 stars because it is funny and it shows the humorous hatred he has for his teacher, Ms. Godfrey. There are many things happening at once so it was hard to find out what is really happening.

This book was impossible to follow the constantly changing storyline. The best way I can put it is that Lincoln Peirce's writing style embodies an extreme case of attention deficit disorder. This will be the first and last book of the Big Nate series that I intend to read.
"Big Nate," a beloved comic book series created by Lincoln Peirce, captures the spirit of childhood rebellion and humor in a way that's both entertaining and relatable. It's a series that not only captures the essence of growing up but also celebrates the unique, quirky spirit in every child.
Funny book. Just learning how to "Kindle". Loaded up with books I woud like to read to grandchildren. I laughed aloud in several places. Thanks for a good story and good humor in his relationships - father, sister, friends, teachers, girls.
Big Nate graphic novels are great choices for reluctant readers. The book is formatted in a way that makes it easier for students with shorter attention spans to stay engaged. The topics and the situations in which Nate finds himself are very relatable. I have only read this one Big Nate book but I intend on checking out a few more. I really liked Nate's dad. He tries so hard to stay involved in his teenage son's life but teenage boys are hard. Nate has typical sibling rivalries with his sister. He is creative and his teachers don't really seem to understand him or embrace his strengths. The book was funny. I very much enjoyed it.
In this story Nate's teacher gives him a pop quiz which Nate didn't study for . So Nate asks his friends if he can cheat off them, but his friends decline and say that Nate should have studied. So Nate takes the situation into his own hands and cheats off the nerd of the class and gets a score of 100%. Finally Nate's parents reward him with a DvD Nate always wanted.
In my opinion this is a addictive and exciting story.
Reasons why I love this book is because It's really interesting by the cover and intriguing and my sister laughed during this book. So I find this book entertaining and funny. Love this book!
I loved everything in the book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the best book ever!!!!!Aaaawwwwwssssooooommmmmeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like WOAH when I saw this book!
I loved the book, but what I did not like was that on cover page he was praying for a fire drill. The book was more about him getting a girlfriend and towards the last few pages it was about praying for a fire drill. My favorite part was when Nate said the name of his teacher's baby wrong.
After year of not reading comic strips/books, a Kindle challenge made me look for something I could tolerate and Nate came to the rescue. Irreverent and funny, Nate is a classic that's always good to read again.
Love your books.Do you mind if you (suggestion)add Teddy or Francis things? Thanks so much! Question:in the future could you add Chester’s face in some books?
