I quite enjoyed it, I found it a fascinating piece of literature and culture that was quite interesting to examine. This is a compilation of 27 books, each going over a different story of the people of God. I've finished The book of Matthew, the book of Mark, and Revelation. The book of Matthew is my favorite of the three, as I found its pacing and vivid imagery quite engrossing.
As for a short summary of the books, Matthew and Mark both go through the story of Jesus Christ, from his birth to his first resurrection, as he goes around healing people and preaching faith in heaven. All the while amassing a group of companions and followers. That is until Judas, one of his companions, betrays him and get's Jesus sentenced to death, where he is beaten, crucified, and eventually, dies. However, three days later, he raises from his tomb and comes back to life.
Revelation is a vision john has of the biblical end of the world, as we see the many mythological beasts and angels of both heaven and hell in the process of wreaking havoc on the land and its people.
Overall, I've been pleasantly surprised by the contents of the New Testament and would recommend anyone fascinated in learning the history/origin of such an important part of our Culture.
After reading this again, I find more insights and challenges to keep living for Jesus. I still believe that after reading this book, your life will be changed.
