Wanting rid of the prissy noblewoman, Keirth plans to dump her at the first port he can. Then he can focus his attention on what's important. Killing the duke. But things get complicated when Keith realizes that the duke has focused his malevolent interest on Ariana. She is in mortal danger.
Keirth's no angel, but he's not a man who'll let an innocent woman be terrorized. He'll do whatever he can to keep Ariana safe from the duke. No matter how annoying she is.

An engaging sci-fi romance novel about a man burdened with an unintended passenger while pursuing retribution.
Release is a soft sci-fi story with a sweet romance and a demented villain that adds a gruesome edge. The world building provided an interesting political system and social structure that added depth to the story. The sci-fi elements were uncomplicated which allowed smoother and continual action scenes. Release is a fun, fast paced novel with compelling characters and a charming yet dark story.
It's like a historical romance set in space! I liked the tension between the hero and heroin. It was a great book. I like Ms. Chambers work and this one didn't disappoint. Be warned, it was a little dark. Language and adult situations.
