Jen is a Christian writer of fiction and non-fiction works. She writes to entertain and inspire as well as to bring glory to her own personal savior, Jesus Christ. She is a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a Registered Nurse. Her life journey has not been an easy one. She knows what it means to walk through the fires of faith, as she knows the pain and the joys of life. She has a strange fascination with hummingbirds as one has always showed up in times of difficulty in her life, either a real one or an image of one. She loves things like old tea-pots and mopar-muscle cars from the seventies. She thinks of herself as kind of a redneck chick-slash-southern belle, as she loves to dress up fancy, but spends most of her time in jersey tee-shirts and jeans, with her hair up in a ponytail. When she is not writing or spending time with her family, you can find her with her nose stuck in a book. She loves to hear from her readers and can be reached at jen@jengentrysbooks.com
Very good follow-up to the 11st book. Can't wait to dive into the next one. Her writings with the biblical references at the beginning of the chapters draw me in and gives me a connection between God,the characters, and myself.
Emily pays.attentive to her gift and lets it guide her. Meeting Dr Ethan and things start to happen, and not all good. Ancient papers are burned by evil forces. He only wants the maps, and what he has been working on. Good plot and interesting of how it unfolded.
I read this series a few years ago and am reading again! I love how Jen explains the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus and how the spiritual battle rages on unbeknownst to us
I thought the first book in the series was good but this one goes beyond! Explores the idea of the Nepheliim, which most pastors won't tackle. Great book!!!
If you want to read something with some substance, if you want beyond ordinary, if your inclined to believe God is more powerful than even the stories suggest, then you'll love The Gift of Knowledge. When a work reminds me how important our prayer life is and exactly just how much God is interested in our every day life, and when the story line compels me to keep reading, I have found a book I can recommend without hesitation. This is that book. Ms. Gentry did a fabulous job and I am very much looking forward to book three in the series.
I love stories of how we can interact with the angels around us. I also like that this book tells us that Satan does have his minions working against us, and we need to be aware of them. In this book, we see Emily mature both as a person and in using her gifts of being able to see both angels and demons. Her dedication to following God's direction, no matter of the personal costs, is admirable. The adventures that she is involved in keeps you wanting to read more. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, "The Gift of Empathy."
This book was a lot better than the first for me. I think maybe the first book wasn't as enjoyable to me because there was so much time spent trying to cram in Emily's & the other character's back stories that it didn't get very gripping & interesting to me until all of that was established, about half way through. But in this book, the story takes off from the beginning & I really liked it.
The story has gotten better. This seems to be an outlandish tale. Actually, it has solid Biblical roots. A little romance is also good, especially with solid spiritual character. You'll like this one.
I couldn't put it down. I have already bought book three but that will have to wait for another day. The author has a very good way of describing what is going on. I can almost see it.
Fantastic book. I got the feeling that the author was a little more comfortable in her writing with this story. While the story moved right along, it wasn't as rushed as the first book. Once again, the end had me in tears.
