Discussed with study group at Covenant Hope Dubai.

Companion to the book.

Love the format-
Great summaries of the chapters with questions for:

1. Me (self reflection)
2. Us (discuss as couples)
3. Group (with a small group)

And an optional passage to study together.

This study was more tailored towards married couples so it was sometimes difficult to do as a dating couple. Most of the time we didn’t answer all of the questions because they either weren’t applicable or we didn’t have an answer for them. Sometimes the questions struck up deeper conservations about other things which was really nice. I enjoyed spending quality time with my boyfriend by going through the questions every week. I liked that there was a summary of the chapter and the key point of the chapter before answering the questions, to give a refresher.

Helpful study guide and accompaniment to main book.
Each chapter of the guide offers a short summary of the respective chapter in the book followed by gospel application questions each time, first for the individual, then for a married couple, then for a small group.

A great help to my husband and I

The study guide is a great help and addition to the book. I appreciated having a chance to answer questions and personalize what I had read.

This is one of the best, most Gospel centered books on marriage that I have read (and I've read a lot). It's funny, practical, honest and biblical. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get married, strengthen their marriage, save their marriage, grow in holiness, or love their spouse more deeply.

We've used the book twice as a small group study and found it extremely helpful with a diverse group of people. It will challenge and encourage. The discussion questions included leave a lot to be desired so we wrote our own, but the content if fantastic. The author is easy to relate to and transparent as he shares his own struggles and victories. It gets to the heart of the matter and demonstrates how God's grace can transform two sinners into one glorious marriage.

Considering the study guide costs about 5 times more than the book, I expected it to be very in-depth and essential to the book. However I was quite disappointed to find that it only had 2-5 questions per chapter. The rest of the book was a one to two page summary of each chapter followed by a few questions. To say the least, I was extremely disappointed.

This is a great book for anyone who is engaged or who is married. It is one of those books that you might want to read once a year together with your spouse. The author gives a lot of practical advice and examples on how to deal with the marriage relationship.

I agree with the theology, but really struggled with the way it's presented. I thought it to be poorly written, and almost offensively boring.
