The fact is we're just getting warmed up.
A self-help book with a heart!

In this one, Michael Samuels discuses what he's learned about the Universe and how he (and you) can make it work in his (your) favor.
Just Ask the Universe is not a book of New Age gobbledygook filled with empty promise
I really liked how Michael insisted on cutting out the middle-man - the ritual or rigmarole parts that always make my eyes roll whenever I read an advice book.

Instead, Michael takes the core message and passes it directly onto the reader.
Only the Universe can make it happen by connecting you two together, and it will be in the way you least expect.
One of the core teachings is to MB for what you want, and no this isn't a meditate-and-think (though it can be if you want it to), this is a literal ask the universe-what-you-want sort of shtick.

And after reading book, I think I see why.

When you ask for what you want, and really consider what you need to do to get there, you are able to make yourself aware of what you need to do to achieve your dreams.
Details! It's all about the details, details, details!
Overall, this ended up being a fun, short read! I enjoyed the tone and the content - and I look forward to reading more by him!

A few weeks ago, I started working with a new author, Michael Samuels. Before I received his books, I read various Amazon reviews and I searched the internet for anything I could find so I could learn as much about him as possible. I eagerly agreed to work with him because I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity and it would be a new challenge. His books aren't my usual reading material and I wondered if I would "buy into" everything he discussed. I have had some experience with books about the law of attraction and I thought they were all the same. I am a Christian and I didn't think those books were for me. Perhaps they weren't. The few books or articles I've read seemed to want to sway my religious beliefs, so I turned my back on them and forgot about them. My beliefs aren't negotiable.

When I received Just Ask The Universe and The Universe-ity, I did what I normally do. I scanned over the books and read a few lines here and there. Now I must confess. I sat on the couch with my husband and I laughed. I picked out a sentence here and there, read them aloud, and giggled because everything I read was either common sense or very amusing, like when the author described what he wanted in a wife down to her height. I had to read these books. How was I going to make it through them? I didn't think I could actually enjoy them. This was going to be fun...Now I realize my mistake. A few days ago I began outlining and taking notes as I read, using a highlighter to remind me of things I'd never want to forget. This book has become a textbook for me. I am now a student and I read pages over and over until I can almost feel the power of his words. Please don't make my initial mistake and scan the pages looking for something. You need to read it in order to understand the power of your thoughts.

Michael Samuels has a gift. He made me comfortable with the whole "Law of Attraction" and made it fit in with my religious beliefs. Samuels had me with the first three pages. I was so engrossed with the material, I didn't want to think about anything else. A fire was lit. Michael Samuels did the research, took inspiration from all the great thinkers and put the things that work in his book.
"If your thoughts are clear and in harmony with your mind and the truth of your surroundings, your life can be filled with all the richness the Universe has to offer."
He makes sense. He makes so much sense, I decided to skip going to sleep because I couldn't wait to sit down and share this book with you. Maybe I wouldn't be so passionate about this book if I hadn't had an aha moment early on. I realized I had been doing what he was suggesting. I was attracting good things because I had positive thoughts. He quotes Tony Robbins, "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten." This is so true. Don't make excuses either. Samuels tells his readers, "Excuses are the poison that stops all progress in life."

Many of you don't know the full story of why, or how I began blogging. In a nutshell, a tornado hit our home five years ago. Contractors actually destroyed it. We had to move out for years while we shoveled out insulation, debris, and rebuilt. We spent every penny we ever saved on rebuilding and paying lawyers. We are still waiting for our it to be over and we will never get back what we've spent. I remember sitting at my computer fantasizing about baby things after this happened. I was pregnant with my second child. I wanted so many things and I couldn't have them. We couldn't afford to buy groceries at times and we learned to stretch everything. We didn't have money for gifts for our children and I could forget about taking them on vacations. I didn't want my kids to do without. I began having positive thoughts instead of burying myself in despair. I decided to start a blog. I somehow knew companies would want to work with me and I put myself out there. I asked and I received. Yes, God was in control and He still is. He created the universe and the universe was working for me. I had positive thoughts and positive things came my way. Food, money, gifts, clothes and trips. I believe that positive thinking attracts positive things. I never really thought much about it before, but after reading this book, I think about it all the time.

Michael Samuels book is full of truths. I can say that because I was following his guidelines and I didn't even realize it. I have always been a list maker. I make lists for goals and great things happened for me. A few months ago, I even wrote down the exact vehicle I wanted and it was mine a few weeks later. I didn't think much about it until I read Just Ask The Universe. It happens to others too. It couldn't just be coincidence, could it? That's for you to decide. I am a believer without giving up any of the beliefs I had before. I am studying and using the guidelines that are laid out in this book and working towards something greater.

Samuels makes it easy to dream and dream big. He encourages asking for things we may not see as possibilities. If you want money, ask for it. If you want fame, ask for it. It's yours. Be specific. You should ask the universe and it will come to you. I don't care to be rich. I just want to be comfortable and never worry about my kids not having enough to eat and I want my house to finally be finished. Will that happen for me? Yes. This book has opened my eyes. I have more goals and more dreams and I believe they are all going to happen for me. Impossible dreams no longer exist. I am looking forward to reading and studying The Universe-ity next. I'll be sure to share my thoughts. Just Ask the Universe: A No-Nonsense Guide to Manifesting your Dreams is available now. You can also connect with Michael Samuels on Facebook. I hope you'll open your mind to new possibilities. You can have everything you always wanted. Just ask the universe.

To disclose, I received a free copy of this book. I was not required to provide a review (On The Gerber Babies Blog) and even though I have a professional relationship with this author, a favorable review was never required.

I am sure you have heard of the books The Secret or The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. I am also sure you have heard at least something about the laws of attraction.

Well, now comes Just Ask The Universe!

Author, Michael Samuels takes a hands on, no fluff, approach to developing ones mind to gain anything you can dream and want. By following his steps closely and systematically he promises his approach to materializing ones dreams can be done even if you are young. He says, "This journey...requires you to create a blueprint for self-growth and self-improvement..."

He says all of this can be done because the Universe is open to us at all times and just waiting for us to ask. He explains in chapter two what the Universe is. For those concerned he also quickly points out that he sees the Universe not as God but different. He does not discount any belief but only respects.

I know I can always self-improve spiritually and of course in other aspects of my life there is always room for growth. All I have to do is ask?

Well, Michael Samuels says, yes but, you have to ask precisely. The entire book tells exactly step by step how to do just that.

He even gives examples from his own life and from the lives of other people whom he knows that follow this approach. In fact, he mentions that this book in itself is a manifestation of asking! How cool is that?

I can honestly say that I never have read the books that I first mentioned but Michael Samuels mentions them and more. In fact, he list all his mentors in the back of his book for anyone to read.

There is no doubt in my mind that I will be using this method daily. In fact, I will be reading his book again and following what the Universe has to offer. After all, who doesn't want to have everything they ever desired. I know I do!

How to make your dreams come true.
At first, I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about reading this book. I have a very hard time taking advise from others, because most people think they know everything there is to know and that I am just a stupid little person that knows nothing.

This book is nothing like that. This author has a way with words that surprised me and got me thinking about my life and dreams. This author speaks on a level to where I felt I was accepting advise and I felt as if I was an equal and nothing less. The advise this author gives good ideas and ways to make your dreams come true without sounding pompous. I really enjoyed this book and took it all to heart and have decided to take the advise and add it to my daily life. I highly recommend this book to all ages to read and make it a part of your life.

I received a paperback copy of this book directly from the author, in return for an honest review.

My Review:

Set among just over 100 pages, the author has given you a no nonsense, very basic guide to manifesting your dreams. He guides you along the process of self growth and inner peace. If you are having a rough time in your life, right now, it nay be worth your wile to stop and consider some of the thoughts and exercises the author has put in place to help. Written concisely and straight forward he hopes to inspire you to live a better life overall.

If I've said it once I've said it a hundred times self help books aren't my thing but yet i keep reading them. Maybe I'm looking for something or maybe I just can't say no to a book either way this one got my attention.

I think what caught my attention is that it didn't have you doing silly things like dancing naked under the moon. It was simple give and take situation. You ask the universe for what you want and thank it for what you do have. That simple or sort of. You really have to red this book to get the whole picture but for me it made perfect scene. That in itelf makes it a great book. Since reading it I've actually find myself smiling more.

So thank you to the author Michael for writing a book I can actually use in my real life and thank you for the good advice.
I gratefully receive my new found happiness.

It's not new, but for some, the story will resonate and isn't that the point? And for those who already know the law of attraction (and how there are other laws too that virtually no one discusses!), it's a nice reinforcement 😁

The most loving kick in the butt I needed.

I've been reading LOA books for decades. As I have waited for the life of my dreams I have redefined what is most important. I manifested everything years ago and lost it all. Why? Because I wanted approval from others. I began anew by being brutally honest with myself. What do I want just between me and me? I learned to love myself when everything was stripped away. I no longer had a big house or beautiful clothes, I NO LONGER HAD A HOME AT ALL! I was sleeping in a storeroom on a concrete floor but I knew in my heart that I was loved. Why? Because I had asked to know who I really am. All my "confidence" came from things but I hadn't realized that before. I learned to trust in love itself when everything appeared to be against me. Without people like this author and those he has recommended I may not have realized my greatest challenge. To trust in a power that wants nothing but our joy. With nothing but my heart I found a true friend and when he died all I could think of was how blessed I was to have loved him. This book has what I love. Lots and lots of Love! Read it. Love it because his advice is some of the best.

Practically Encouraging!!!

5 stars is a bold rating, but "Just Ask..." is a bold book. Once I settled into how simply practical this book was, (around Chapter 3) I didn't stop reading until this review.

While a couple of the chapters were incredibly brief in length, the content was no less powerful. When I say practically encouraging, I do mean literally encouraging to want to begin some of the principles and actions right now...at 12:50 in the morning.

I am grateful that I took the chance to read this book, and "gratefully receive" the really easy to understand ideas and methods provided in this offering to the law of attraction space.

Now, me and my best friend are going to get started on the conversations I just learned in "Just Ask the Universe!

Thank You Mr. Samuels!!!! "With Gratitude"

This truly is a no-nonsense guide. Brilliant read.

I have read a number of books on this topic and in all honesty have given up on a couple as they just didn't "feel" right and were overly detailed and a bit too over the top. This book kind of found me and I am very glad it did. I love the way this book is written, super straightforward but still really interesting and massively helpful. I keep managing two steps forward one step back but feel confident after reading this that my belief is back to stay this time. Universe here I come!
If you already have some knowledge on this give this a read it really is worth every second of your time.

Great Book!

This book helped me to get back on track. I was starting to become negative because of all the things going on in the world right now. It reminded me not to focus on those things but on what I would like to see happen and what I want my life experience to be. I purchased one for my 2 sisters so we could read it together. I would have given it 5 stars but it ended too soon. I was wanting more!

This came HIGHLY recommended by someone I like and respect, so I was surprised by my own impressions of it. All I can say is that it seems self-congratulatory and incredibly simplistic to me; if it helps people, I'm really glad, but it was wasted on me.

Goodness knows I would LIKE a no-nonsense guide to realizing my hopes and dreams, but this was not it.

Wonderful book.

What a wonderful book. I have started to put my lists together and am working on the guidance given in this book.

Really nicely written and easy to follow, no blurb just relevant information about making the LOA work for you, what it is and what it’s not. Highly recommend for those who want to learn to manifest effectively without all the new age crap

Clear and simple

I have heard and read a lot of material on the LOA and gratitude, but this book provided a clear and simple method for it's practice. I also got to know the areas where I was holding a wrong attitude while trying to apply which this book made me realize. Totally worth the money and simplicity. Big thanks to the author!

Making it very easy to follow

I love this book as if the author just opened the door Of The Secret for me to walk through it. I have learned a lot from it. Amazingly I received a few miracles (I called Miracles sent by Angels) while I was reading the book. I know there are more to come my way. 😜

A simple and easy to read book about how the law of attraction works. I liked the way the law was explained so succinctly. The basic principle is ask the Universe for anything you want, write it down and believe with all your heart that it’s going to happen. If you combine this with visualization and affirmations you should have no problem with the universe’s cosmic ordering system!
