As a gifted child plays with a Ouija board on her eleventh birthday, a startling memory surfaces. Robin Wingfield has thus far repressed the damage she suffered at the hands of a group of neighborhood children. Further experimentation with the "mystifying oracle" reveals an impending disaster for her town. No longer able to dismiss the Ouija as a frivolous game, she delves deeper into the occult world. Of all the dangers along the way, it may be those closest to her who pose the greatest threat. (Published with easy to read formatting). Estelle Daniels, co-author of Essential Wicca, says, "Ms. Cole has a good plot, it moves well and there are several interesting twists that make it entertaining. It keeps the reader's interest, and is fun....Hopefully there will be more books in the series, because this reader is interested in watching Robin grow and mature more fully into her talents....Robin has a long way to go, and hopefully Ms. Cole will continue her adventures."
A wonderful story about a young group of friends and the excitement they encounter one fall. Insight into some of the dreams, feelings they've been having. Introduction to Wicca at the age of 11 makes for interesting story line. I can't wait to get to know Odin better(the spirit from the Ouija board, and how the kids take the individual messages given to them by the seer Celia.
I received this book in a giveaway. An interesting read. I kept forgetting that the girl was only 11 years old. For a middle grade book I did enjoy the story and flow, perfect book for young kids.
