The first title for our Generation Hope imprint brings us a fun book by Anna Cook! Brynn and Amir don’t know what to expect for their group project … but they certainly don’t expect to be transported across continents. During the research, they fall into a strange map and are transported to Mexico. They try jumping back into the map, but nothing happens. Amir thinks it probably has something to do with the assignment. Together they’ll have to find a way back home before the map disappears and they’re trapped forever … and hopefully learn a thing or two about Mexico on the way.
I absolutely ADORE this book. Brynn and Amir give such a great example of a healthy friendship! It has educational elements and I was charmed the entire read. Great work!
With the perfect blend of adventure and intrigue, author Anna Cook seamlessly weaves tidbits of geography and social studies onto the pages of Brynn and Amir and the Magic Map. Readers will delight in the friends’ venture, hold their breath while turning pages to see if the quest is successful, and gain an appreciation of life in another country as an added bonus. Highly recommended to inspire a love of reading and foster a healthy curiosity about kids who grow up in a place different from our own. -Julie Lavender, author of Children’s Bible Stories for Bedtime and 365 Ways to Love Your Child: Turning Little Moments into Lasting Memories
This is a great book for young readers. The author does a great job of combining learning with adventure. I kept turning pages until I found out if our characters made it home! An educational and entertaining read.
