This book probably has to be the worst in the series. The author should have tied up book three better and ended the series there. I really loved the constant tension and excitement of the other books but the satanic themes of book four and five were awful. Demons, Satan and the "chosen one" did not fit well into the series in my opinion. Also, I'm not sure if Bryce was always a major tool or if he just got worse in the last two books. I really enjoyed the beginning of this series so it was annoying that the books took such a repetitive turn.

Some problems I had with this book included:

As with all the books, the grammar and proofreading is seriously lacking. This wouldn't have been too noticeable if the plot didn't already have me rolling my eyes with irritation. I've noticed that the author has used the wrong use of "either" throughout the entire series. Missing words and typos are also pretty common.

Everything is just way too contrived. I felt like I could already guess everything that was about to happen before it happened. Plot twists that were supposed to shock were not shocking.

The ending. I feel that the annoying Satan/Demon problem was resolved a little bit too easily with Bobby. The actual "happy" ending a year later wasn't that great either. Cassie's pregnancy doesn't feel right with the characters being so young. I get that the zombie apocalypse makes you grow faster but it still seemed rather ridiculous.

To conclude, although this book had an interesting and promising start, it progressively worsened in the last two books and possibly even the third as well. I didn't expect this review to ramble so much but there were so many things that I could still go on and on about.

I enjoyed the series as a whole. Quick and easy to read with zombies. The religious plot twist was sort of meh but it didn't turn me off enough to not read all five books. If you want a fun YA series that's hard to put down but doesn't take much brain power read these books.

I received this book via a promo code and this is my voluntary review. It's not just a Zombie Apocalpse.. it's the end of days, and demons want to bust it out of hell and take over the Earth. *YAWN* Our plucky band of demon slaying, chosen one protected road trippers just keep getting dumber. Yup... from Henry to one of the many Keeley, Kylie, Krissie, Kristy, Cassie, Kristen Mary-sues, this crowd just keeps proving that they are too stupid to live. (Yeah the character names prove this author needs a generator or to invest in a baby name book. I mean the hero is called Bryce... and the bad guy is called Bobby.... I think there's a young kid called Billy in there too.) This series had such a promising start until Cassie Wild proved to not only be a Mary-Sue with Plot Armor... she's also the new Mary, the amazing ultra-skilled bimbo chosen one sent to get knocked up and save mankind... despite her idiotic survival choices. I had hoped the ridiculous religious element to this story would become a bit more coherent in the final book, it did not. I have no idea why some people have declared this book suitable for 5 stars, the story structure was terrible and character actions made me want to claw my own brain out.... it is overall incoherent and illogical.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series! The characters were well written, and I enjoyed meeting them all! Although I have to say that Henry was definitely my favorite! He reminded me of my Grandpa. Funny in a sarcastic way.
I liked how the storyline wrapped up all questions. That was a blast to read. Quick, funny, plus zombies. Well done Kristen. Thanks for the ride!

Zombies galore

This series, all 5 books, was everything you’d want in an apocalypse. Action, adventure, a little swearing, a little gore and some interesting characters. You can’t go wrong by reading this series.

I read the entire series before writing my review and it is WILD! The final scenes are nothing like your average zombie apocalypse story. So, be prepared for a huge surprise!

The series was wrapped up well with the final book. I ended up enjoying it more than I expected. I teared up quite a few times toward the end and I had a couple omg moments.
I very much enjoy zombies and liked the characters a lot. Not a super deep storyline to follow. Lighter and easier with some light sexual mentions content.

The story just got more and more incoherent and illogical.

The first three books were good, to bad the two last books messed it up.

Good book; strange ending.

I enjoyed this series of books. The characters were interesting. The story was good, but the religious, end of days theme was strange. I guess the author had to wrap up the story in some way. Other than that it was a good zombie series with a love story twist

I did not like the way the book ended. I felt as though she could have ended the series sooner and not try to drag it out. it's like she just threw stuff together and the characters just got stupid. their personalities got dumber towards the end of the series.

Fantastic finish to an amazing series!

I definitely wouldn't mind it if KM took us to visit Cassie and friends sometime in the future. I would love to see the progress of their world.

Great read!

Well worth a read if you like Zombie, end of days type books.
Follows a band of survivors as they try to make sense of the world.
Just as you think all is well a very big spanner is thrown into the works.
Read all 5 back to back for a zombie ride to hell!!!

Wonderful ending.

Really enjoyed all 5 books. Characters were great and all fun, wonderful or as intended a little frightening. My only grow is I wish very much the author would consider writing more!
