Leader LarIS needs to find help for his people. Though they have females, they have not been successful with their breeding. The women have more miscarriages than full term births. His medics are stumped. After many covert missions to collect Intel, he discovers that Katiera and Kiljor are forming an alliance. With this alliance they are offering aid to one another in seeking to solve the breeding issues.

When he agrees to meet with them, he learns the other two nations located females from many galaxies away who are breeding compatible. When he travels to Kiljor, he finds more than the potential for an alliance. He meets a female that connects to him on every level and has him tearing through the Galaxy to keep her at his side.

Lola Marquesa has been deaf her whole life. She has learned to live life on her own that way and in turn, becomes a teacher for children with disabilities. She has read the aliens called Katierans, have technology that could easily translate languages. She is intrigued and wants to see if this technology could help children with disabilities. I loved this book. I loved it so much that I plan to do a book review for Miss KD Jones. I love Science Fiction books and KD did not let me down. If you love science fiction then this book is a must. Good book for the holidays to curl up by the fire and read until you finish it. I hope their is a book number 8 in the making.

Colonial Prime

It's never quiet on any of the 3 planets that are in these stories. The Morins are a ruthless bunch of thugs always wanting to hurt everyone.Lola was one of those people that the Morins had taken.Commander LarIs had fallen in love with her.Lola could not hear so he had to take things slow.Things heat up and not just out in space.Grab a copy of this but start with number 1.

Love it

Ashor is redeeming himself. Paris is gently wooing Lola. Puzzle is fighting with Tylor. Tylor is being an idiot. I love Lola. She is trying to overcome her horrible abuse and build a new life. I love how Laris takes his time. He is gentle as patient. Lola works hard to gain her confidence back. She fights for Laris. A great story.

KD Jones's work is a bit of a hit and miss for me. I either love the book or hate it, there's no in between. This one I loved, the H was respectful to the h and treated her more like an equal then any of the other books in this series so far.
I do love the world that KDJ is creating though, which keeps bringing me back for more.

Colonial Prime

Lola is deaf and is angry with LarIS for stopping her from shooting herself to end her suffering by the Morins who gang raped and hurt her repeatedly during her captivity. LarIS is telepathic and talks to her in her head until she blocks him. And so this romance begins.

Tons of action

Lots of action in this one. Again revisiting all the other characters is fun, but we do not get as much as in previous books. I like Laris and wish the romance had been more detailed.

OMG! They Just Keep Getting Better!

In this book we're on the Colony planet with Leader LarIS and Lola. LarIS is what would be considered the Prime of his planet the only difference being he is elected, not given the title by birth right. The colony is inhabited with with the Katierans deemed the infected ones from the Morin virus. They developed mutated genes from the chemical war fare of the Morins and have been isolated away from the Katierans and Kiljorns. But with the threat of attack from the Morins eminent they are once again forming an alliance with the rest of the worlds to band together. LarIS is telepathic with other abilities. He is with the Katierans and Kiljorns when they intercept a Morin warship and save the humans from captivity. The same ship that ConEL from the last book was on. Lola is one of the humans LarIS saves. She is deaf and is able to talk to him mind to mind. But she is also the only person able to block him too. Her uniqueness has always made her stand out in the past. But living on the Colony she is able to blend in with the others with similar disabilities. Her ability to talk with sign language is something the Colonials have never seen and she is soon teaching all the hearing and talking impaired how to communicate.

LarIS is determined to have her love and tries every thing to win her over. But Lola is suffering from the trauma of being held by the alien Morins. She needs counseling and LarIS make it happen. Its a long road to recovery for the type of trauma Lola has suffered, and with LarIS by her side she will make it.

This book was a bit shorter than most of the others in the series, and I do wish it had been longer with more details about the planet. The character development and structure is as solid as ever with this author and her world is still stunning. I want to give this book 5 stars as I feel it covered some very important issues dealing with rape and abuse that were covered very well and with tact for those that my read it in the future. A must have book for every lover of Sci-fi romance and HEA's

This book was very very good. I love all the books by K.D. Jones. Wonderfully written, it has lots of suspense and takes place on a different planet. This is about LarIS and Lola. Lola had been taken by the morins and severly abused so she is very cautious about being around men. LarIS is the leader of his planet and when he meets her, he knows she is is mate. He has to take it slow with her. Lots of passion between the two and the hopes that they can be together . There is the back story of how the people of Kateran and Colonial prime had been moving women from earth, with the earth's permission of course, as the earth is dying and the Katerians hope that with the mating of the Katerians and earth women they will solve the conception problems the Katerian women have been having. Highly recommend.

Ok, not great

Ok, not great

This book was ok. I didn't feel it was anything special. It did have good world building & chemistry between the H& H but the story was dull and flat. I didn't ready the first couple in the series but did not feel I missed anything. It desperately needed editing. Won't be reading anymore.

I loved this story. Both Lola and LarlS are different and unique. Their uniqueness makes them stand out but it also makes them perfect and so much more when reunited. I skipped the 2nd volume so I only got a few snapshots of what happened to
Lola and how LarlS saved her but I absolutely loved their story.

Oh I found this story so emotional right throughout. Poor poor Lola. She went through so much in her life and then to get kidnapped and abused by the enemy. But then there is LarIS who has a patience of a saint, plus his telepathic abilities. He helps Lola to overcome her fears and put her trust in him.
And we get plenty of drama to keep us on our toes.

Decent Story

These books are best read in sequence as there are references to people From earlier books. This is a decent alien love story, the characters are pretty well written and well rounded . The plot lines are good , a little repetitive as you get further into the series , but not bad.

I really liked this. But I really got annoyed with the spellings on the names, kind of interruped a smooth reading.

I liked this one a lot because of the handicapped heroine and because it didn't repeat a lot of the previous books
