Beware of possible potholes when planning a road trip. Partners Addison and Fiona are in a romance rut and figure a nice long drive through beautiful Ireland will help boost their love life. Oh well, very little goes according to plan until....... Lauren Hart's location descriptions are easily imagined and Fiona and Addison realize over time that compromise is paramount if their love is to survive. Hey, glamping is fun when you know what it entails. This is a quick fun read with a HFN ending. Where will our passport take us next?
This is a second chance romance sets in the beautiful country of Ireland. Fiona and Abby are dating for over two years, but their relationship is cooling down a bit due to both women's busy working life and less time to spend together. So Fiona decides to take her girlfriend, Dr. Abby on a ten days tour of Ireland to rekindle their love for each other. The story is well written, the MCs are adorable and lovely, the scenery is breathtaking and even the supporting casts are funny and unforgettable. A perfect vacation read with a sweet ending!
Fiona and Addison are girlfriends of just over a year, and are having relationship troubles. This is the story of a road trip that they take to try to get over their problems. I usually read romances for the discovery of a new relationship, my most favoured part of a story. This is a couple in an established relationship, trying to mend it. Near the beginning, everything that can go wrong, seems to, and I found that rather stressful and angsty. However, once the story really gets going it becomes lovely, as we expect of a Lauren Hart book - but it does take a bit of time to get there. This is sort of a celebration of the renewal of relationships, but also a bit sad when it shows all the ways a relationship can break down; how people can be confrontational just for the sake of it, just to prove a point. The hard bit is keeping your own individuality, but still being a loving part of a couple. Eventually both Fiona and Addison realise this, and are willing to compromise for the good of their coupledom. Even towards the end though, their relationship seems a bit fragile, as though one wrong word from either of them will cause a rift between them. The second half of this story is the best part, in my opinion, where everything goes right, bridges are built, and life-altering decisions are made.
Emerald Isle Escape is the second book in the series. It can be read as a stand alone. In this book some of the people from the first book do make an appearance but it is mostly Freya, Fionas twin sister.
This book is very different from any I have read before. Instead of having the couple meet and get to know each other at the beginning of their relationship it starts a little over a year into the relationship. During a time with Addison and Fiona have hit a little rough patch. Instead of throwing in the towel they decide to take a road trip to work on their relationship. It was nice to see a road trip that didn't go as planned.
I liked the book. It was a quick easy read, I read it in one sitting. The only thing I can say that I didn't like is that nothing really happened. I kept waiting for some conflict or something but any conflict was resolved very fast. There just never seemed to be a real climax to the book.
This book is the second in the series but is different from most as Fiona and Addison have already been in a relationship but have hit a rocky patch. Addison is a doctor who hasn't been able to travel the country so Fiona decides they should go on a road trip where she can show her beautiful country to Addison, who is from South Africa, while they work on their relationship. She plans everything, but nothing goes as planned. Even Fi's twin sister Freya, with her boyfriend Mills from book one, show up at inopportune times.
Lauren is a very fun, descriptive writer, but I felt the bickering went on way too long. I could feel the sizzling attraction between them, but I never knew why they even liked each other. Their relationship seemed too fragile, and rather juvenile, to make it last. One wrong word or look, and poof! Maybe there will be an update in book three! I wholeheartedly enjoyed book one so I still recommend this series!
I loved this book so much, I felt as a part of the road trip. This is just so very sweet with lots of issues addressed on the way. I loved the bond between Fiona and Addison a lot, even when they were fighting their love was still palpable. I think what made it even more interesting was the way their circumstances along the road trip are so relatable. I feel like I should add that Addison being from South Africa makes me biased hahaha but it doesn't matter. It's a great book and a lovely story one that will stick with you for a while. This is the second book in the Passport to Love Series and it is set in beautiful Ireland. We get to know Fiona and her girlfriend Addison's story and it is sweet, funny and hot. I am really enjoying this series. Lauren does a wonderful job in her story telling that it I get to visit these places without ever getting on a plane lol. I can't wait to see where we go next. While it is a stand alone you really should start with the first book. You won't regret it.

I enjoyed reading this book about Fiona and Addison's road trip to discover and rekindle the passion once again in their relationship. I found their journey entertaining, sad in a couple if places, also heartwarming and real. I truly felt those emotional tugs..great writing and got lost in the story...I recommend curling up with a glass of wine, or a cup of tea and enjoy this trip with Fiona and Addison...expect the unexpected!!😕😲😉
I received this as an ARC and voluntarily leaving my review.
Fiona and Addison seem to be drifting apart after only a short time together or is it just everyday life getting in the way. Fiona plans a road trip to rekindle their relationship, but things don't go to plan, one hiccup after another and friends and family crashing their alone time don't help. The supporting cast includes people from book 1 in the series. Enjoyable story.
I enjoyed the road trip, and the quirks of the characters. Fiona and Addison know each other well and it takes time to come back to what they have always known.
I like the way Fiona and Addison are willing to fight for their relationship. Nothing seems to go smoothly for them, but they continue on with a getaway Fiona has planned. The trip takes us to some beautiful places in Ireland and I could imagine being there. Through it all their love is strong and they can work through it together.
