Finally a quilter’s book that has patterns and ideas that is of today. I love the older patterns in my other books, but this brought some new ideas for hand piecing, which was what I was looking for. It had basic instructions but I wouldn’t call it beginners to start with book. The templates are included and shows how much fun it can be to piece by hand. I coupled it with my beginners book and have wonderful visions of new patterns. It shows you step by step how to do the block but not how to completely finish the blanket. If you are just learning how to piece block its great even for a beginner but when you start to piece it as a whole blanket it is a bit vague.
