In the Twisted Obsession prequel we meet Professor Melody Cameron and are reintroduced to Jacob Rhodes.

With his grades in jeopardy, he is willing to cross lines in order to remain on the hockey team, and keep his NHL dreams alive. That professor Cameron can make or break him, turns this battle of wills into a game. She has no hopes of winning. I’m pretty much speechless here. I’ve only read one other hero that comes close to this level of obsessed and I am here for it.

That ending… Like everyone else, I needed the rest of their story stat!

This little novella introduces Melody - Jacob's little Songbird obsession.
It's a quick read - giving us exactly what goes down and a little more insight as to why Jake is Jake - well almost.

Wow. Okay, yes. Please. Give me more. I’ve always been curious about Melody. We’ve seen references to her as “the one that got away”, but I felt like I was missing a key piece of her identity. This doesn’t give us everything, but it gives us the very beginning of her twisted love affair with Jacob. And the twist at the end!! 🤯🫢🫣 Cannot wait for the full length novel to come out.

Ima rate it just so it can be cause the not rated will bug me but it’s just 70 pages about how how they meet and then their actual story continues on in Twisted Obsession. I will say one thing, the way she was like “you drugged me?” And his reaction resembled “yep AND ILL DO IT AGAIN!” 🤣💀

This was a quick and fun read! I was told I needed to read this before Twisted Obsession so I decided to do just that. Melody and Jacob ‘s story of meeting was definitely entertaining! The banter, the spiciness, just yes! The cliffhanger.. ughh lol I can’t wait to read Twisted Obsession!

Definitely needed in my opinion.
Twisted Obsession would not have made as much sense without the prequel.
I highly suggest reading this first.

So turns out this is an age gap romance (I hate age gaps), it’s also reversed (the girl is older) which I hate even more (not being sexist or antg btw, just enjoy when the couples age gap is MAX 5 years) (also enjoy the guy being older cuz that usually means he has more experience)

Will not be reading the actual book (probs will)
