Fully illustrated with exquisitely detailed watercolours, this is an inspirational guide to exploring our age-old relationship with plants. Readers will discover the hidden secrets of the plants that surround us and, through this, will be able to reconnect with our place in nature. We have relied on plants throughout our history. We still do, and, with luck, we always will.
I wish I could rate this higher! First, the book itself is beautifully designed. There are color illustrations, a pleasing color scheme and a custom font that's easy to read. The binding is quality and there's even a gold silk bookmark
The content is just as good. If you're looking for a herb book that gives a bullet list of information for each herb, this isn't for you. Here, the author takes time to tell you the story of each herb. You learn both historical and modern uses. This is a really well done book and goes into the favorites list!
Delightful plant illustrations and interesting information as well as history bits, all arranged by season. This is a wonderful book to own and reread again and again!
Fascinating and delightful book! This author has clearly been around the block as an herbalist and seamlessly weaves personal storytelling, lore, herbal knowledge, and wisdom together. I simply can't understand why this book doesn't have more traction! It's brilliant!
