The After #2

T’cola

Rate this book
Breana’s not-quite-a-fairy tale adventure continues as she ventures deeper into unknown lands in search of her stolen mate. But will she and her motley pack of followers have what it takes to survive The Cold Lands?

Cold, determined, and following nothing but her instincts, Breana reluctantly leads her “pack” of Wulvs, Fairies, and Ries through treacherous conditions in search of her stolen mate.

She wanted everyone to stay home and safe, but they wouldn’t listen. She’s secretly grateful, but there’s no way she’ll admit how much she really needs them. So much has changed lately and it’s taking its toll on Breana. Perhaps a greater toll than she can afford. A toll she’s more than happy to pay if it means getting Dom back.

Hope watched helplessly when Breana, the sister she idolizes, lost her mate. Now she’s forced to watch Breana slowly lose herself. She refuses to let that happen, though.

She’s not as strong or skilled at surviving in the wild as Breana, but Hope is eager to prove she’s an adult and an asset. She also wants to make sure their new friend — whose personality is as sharp as his teeth and claws — is aware of that too.

Together, the sisters and their companions fight their way through treacherous, snow-covered, creature-infested mountains in search of the other half of Breana’s soul and seek out their happily ever after.

This is book 2 of the completed trilogy (Book 1: Neli, Book 2: T’cola, Book 3: Laas). The books are connected and should be read in order for the best experience. The After series is a post-apocalyptic fantasy romance for those who enjoy fantastical creatures (e.g., werewolves, vampires, werebears, fairies, mermaids, and more), urban fantasy, adventure, drama, spice, and a laugh here and there.

About the author

C. Sunrise

C. Sunrise is a Canadian author who spends too much of her "spare" time in the great Canadian outdoors and takes way too many pictures of her dogs and wildlife (and the beautiful scenery, of course). She claims she hasn't spotted a werewolf, bear shifter, or Sasquatch... yet.

After many years of melting her brain with copious amounts of non-fiction research and writing, she rediscovered the joy of reading and writing for entertainment purposes. Now she writes stories filled with fantastical creatures and realms, romance (with a dash of spice), and unique journeys to happily ever after.

Happy reading!

_____

*She also writes fantasy / paranormal romance under the pen name C.S. Knight.

**You may encounter Canadian English in C. Sunrise's books (meaning she adds a bonus “u” to some words, flips “er” around once in a while, and does some other fun stuff to keep people scratching their heads).

Engaging, passionate, fantastical!

Sequels are always hard! You have to live up to the first, but oh boy did T’cola Live up! I had the pleasure of reading this early and there was not a single complaint I could even give the author. From the very beginning I was thrust into a world with incredible characters and amazing dynamics that fed off of the original story perfectly. The story will make you laugh and cry and feel things so deeply and I recommend this entire series to everyone!

I had the privilege to read this lil beauty and let me say it won't disappoint. It pulled me into a new world and brought out my imagination perfectly. I felt like I was on the journey with them. The steam was just right and I honestly can't wait for the next one!

When I tell you that I finished this book screaming “Noooooooooooo”, cursing the author, questioning my entire existence/purpose in life and feeling dead inside I’m not lying. I also proceeded to message the author and tell her we could no longer be friends. All of this because the feels were real. And none of this is a bad thing. There is nothing better than a book that makes you feel all the emotions. It leaves you wanting more. Wanting to know what happens next. It is what invests you in the characters and their stories. I honestly don’t know if I can make it to book 3. I’m dying to know wtf happens. 💜

On a Mission . . .

The author grabs onto the reader’s emotions and keeps them in turmoil as the very vivid experiences being described are occurring. I love it when the scene is so perfectly painted in my mind. We once again follow Breana and the small group that joins her to follow her mate and get him back. Hope is going as well, equally invested in the mission because it will give her a way to prove she is no longer a child and is ready for more in her life. And it looks like she is going to get that. Grab your copy and join them on their journey.
