Breana’s not-quite-a-fairy tale has been filled with stolen mates, treacherous lands, and dangerous creatures. Will her tale finally get its happily ever after?
They say Rodite is to be queen of her kingdom beside her handsome king. A kingdom and a king she cannot remember, nor can she remember the child growing inside her.

She’s told she’ll remember everything in time, as long as she rests and recovers from the explosion that nearly stole her life. At least those are the things the few people who speak her language say to her… and little more.

Who can rest when that’s all you’re expected to do, especially when you know the castle walls and those within them are hiding just as many secrets as your damaged mind? When a mysterious woman is trying to catch your attention? When something inside you keeps telling you something is wrong with the people around you?

Rodite can’t... and won't.

She vows to let her swollen feet carry her through the castle in search of answers. Answers she’s sure could mean the difference between life and death. She’s just not sure whose life she needs to save, or how.

Dom and Breana were stolen, separated, and thrust into unknown lands. In this epic conclusion to The After trilogy, the mated pair will need to move past their fears and pain and put their trust in unexpected allies if they ever want to make it back into each other’s arms.

Will they be strong enough to fight the battles and internal demons that stand between them?

C. Sunrise is a Canadian author who spends too much of her "spare" time in the great Canadian outdoors and takes way too many pictures of her dogs and wildlife (and the beautiful scenery, of course). She claims she hasn't spotted a werewolf, bear shifter, or Sasquatch... yet.

After many years of melting her brain with copious amounts of non-fiction research and writing, she rediscovered the joy of reading and writing for entertainment purposes. Now she writes stories filled with fantastical creatures and realms, romance (with a dash of spice), and unique journeys to happily ever after.

Happy reading!

_____

*She also writes fantasy / paranormal romance under the pen name C.S. Knight.

**You may encounter Canadian English in C. Sunrise's books (meaning she adds a bonus “u” to some words, flips “er” around once in a while, and does some other fun stuff to keep people scratching their heads).

You know that feeling when you finish reading a book series that you loved so much and want to talk to everyone about it but it’s also over and you don’t know how you will go on living? Yeah that was the After Series for me. I got sucked in during book 1 and then my feelings were dragged onto a roller coaster that ended here with Laas. I smiled, I laughed, I yelled and I cried. I felt every way you possibly could about these characters and they are completely fictional! Sunrise did an amazing job of introducing the Characters and world in book 1 and getting you completely invested in each and everyone of their stories. In Book 2 she drops you on a roller coaster and you really don’t know how you will live waiting for book 3. And finally she ties everything back together with a beautiful bow at the end of Book 3. I feel happy and satisfied after finishing the series but tremendously sad it’s over. Thank you for such an amazing story! ❤️

This was another great entry in The After series, I had really enjoyed going on this journey. It had what I was hoping for when reading the first two books in the series. It had the same great concept and worked in the world that was set. I can't wait to read more in from the author and am excited to read more in this universe.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
