Emma Willis never saw herself as a model--especially for a sensual fantasy calendar--until she has to do a photo shoot in her twin sister's place. When Emma puts on barely-there lingerie in front of the photographer, hottie Rafe Delacantro, she feels sexy...and more uninhibited than she's ever been. Before she knows it, she's enticing him to let off a little steam with her!

The minute Emma shows up, Rafe knows she's not the model he's expecting. She's too fascinating, too tempting for him to resist. Fine. They'll share a steamy fling that will end when the shoot is finished. But the more time he spends in Emma's seductive presence, the more involved he gets...and the more he wants of her. He now has to convince her that their affair can last after the camera is put away....

Jill Shalvis is a NYT, USA Today, and Amazon Top 100 bestselling author of small-town romance and romcoms, known for big feels, found family, and plenty of shenanigans.

If you love small-town chaos, meddling friends and neighbors, sizzling chemistry, and heroes who fall hard for the one woman they absolutely did not plan on, you’re in the right place. Jill’s books blend laugh-out-loud moments with emotional gut punches, slow-burn tension, and deeply earned happily ever afters.

She writes the stories she loves to read: small-town romance and romantic comedies packed with heart, heat, second chances, grumpy/sunshine sparks, and the kind of found-family vibes that make you want to move right into the pages. Many of her series are perfect for binge-reading, and a number of her books are available in Kindle Unlimited and at major retailers.

When she’s not writing, she’s probably plotting new ways to torture her characters, avoiding laundry, or daydreaming about fictional men and the strong, complicated women who bring them to their knees—and then making them work for it.

You can follow Jill here on Goodreads to keep up with new releases, add her books to your shelves, and discover which small town you want to get lost in next.

Rafe Delacantro(the brother of the heroine from Back in the Bedroom), is a photographer tired of clicking pictures of fashion-shoots, he wants to retire from Hollywood, lead a quieter life and be closer to his sisters, but he only has one assignment left, with Amber( a high-strung model). But it is not Amber who walks into the shoot, but her twin Emma. Rafe recognizes her since he know Amber and her behaviour but he plays along.

Emma is the script-writing sister who is more of a parent than a sister. She is the responsible one, bailing out her sister, putting work first. She is terrified of the shoot since it is so sexy but later she feels exhilarated over the power it give her and how it makes her writing better. So, she returns for more and this time Rafe outs her. Rafe is attracted to Emma and so is she but she doesn't want to accept it that easily.

I enjoyed the book thoroughly, seeing Emma take charge and slowly change from that workaholic and let go of her control was fun. Emma was so sad when her sister Amber came back for the photo-shoot since she wanted to spend time with Rafe. There were some very sexy moments in the book and also a secondary HEA for the twin sister and Rafe's best friend.

Bared by Jill Shalvis is the story of Emma Willis who steps out of her comfort zone when she steps in to take her twin sister's spot on a photo shoot. Not only is Emma sure she can pull off being her sister, but she finds herself in over her head when she meets photographer Rafe Delacantro.

When Rafe realizes his model isn't who he was expecting, he decides to have a little fun with her before pulling her out of her shell. Little did he know, that he wouldn't be able to help or hide his feelings for Emma. Soon, Rafe has to figure out he will convince Emma that she can cut loose and go after what she really wants-especially if it's him.

From the moment I found this book I knew I had to read it. Not only did it sound good, but it's also written by Jill Shalvis-a author I've read and enjoyed in the past. Once again, Shalvis created an amazing story and great characters. Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down.

Ma che uomo d'oro è Rafe.
Emma stacanovista e testarda e paurosa e ha spezzato il cuore anche a me 3
Rafe è un cuoricino.

Kudos per l'uso delle protezioni.

This was a Shalvis story so, I liked it enough. Rafe was yummy and I really enjoyed this simple romp. A very cliche ending but, acceptable.

A simple, feel good, (HOT!!!) read. I liked that the author didn't find the need to have the characters falling in love go down predictable paths. Very enjoyable.

What an insult to average human brains!

This is a 10 page essay converted into a sleazy love story.
Absolutely no story and the characters characters are so shallow. She's not taken the trouble to flesh out her mcs. They are just there to fill in the gaps. Puddles the cat has gotten more character 🙄.

This is my second book by this author and I'm disappointed with both. The previous book was an epilogue passed off as a 100 page novella. And this one is like a playboy photo shoot in words.

Not recommended if you value your intelligence and self respect.

Not my favorite!

I love a lot of JILL Shalvis books, just not this one! I mean it was ok. I've just read so many of her that were so much better. It has a happy ending, if that's all your looking for. I also think with her books i expect moore. So I think I judge hers differently. I will definitely read more of her books

You've seen the plot before: wild, uninhibited twin wants mousy, driven, workaholic twin to take her place because there's just some place she's GOT to be... In this one her mousy twin is supposed to take her sister's spot on a modeling shoot for a 'fantasy' calendar. The photographer figure out the switch about two minutes into the shoot because she doesn't act like the bitch her sister does [he did have an advantage, he knew there was a twin:]. Needless to say, she finds the walk on the wild side more fun than she expected - and so was the photographer... Well implemented.

I enjoyed the premise of twins switching for each other but I thought it was funny that Emma truly believed that people wouldn't know that she wasn't Amber. Amber is a total diva and Emma is a quiet mouse. Of course people knew! Also I thought that Rafe seems to act like Emma owed him the truth. I kept thinking who the heck are you, Rafe? You aren't her family, so why do you expect her to betray her trifling sister for you?

This was on sale for $2 at B&N.com so I decided to try it. I'm a fan of Shalvis and have yet to be disappointed. This was a quick read.

While I understood Emma's reasons for pushing Rafe away to a degree, I couldn't help but feel she went a little overboard.

The storyline isn't anything new, but it worked because the characters were well balanced and the writing flowed so well.

Bah! I'm so damn tired of these sexually repressed women turning into hellcats as soon as they're touched by a ruggedly handsome man! This was just a bunch of people deluding themselves into thinking they don't really have the feelings they think they're having.

"No, I can't possibly like him, he's handsome and fierce and has wet hair and- *orgasm*" WTF NO.

The ending kind of ruined it for me. Wayy too rushed. Other than that this was a hot, fluffy read. . :)

Didn't finish it. It was just so fake and materialistic and shallow. The whole photographer-"model" relationship made me feel really uncomfortable. So in the end, I removed it from my Aldiko app.

It was a good, easy read. The beginning started off slow and I think the author needed to better suit the dialogue to match the characters better but overall a 3 out of 5.
