America’s favorite devotional, with more than twenty million copies sold, Daily Guideposts is a trusted companion, helping readers to live and grow their faith in their everyday lives.
Every day, Daily Guideposts
• a short Scripture verse for reflection;
• a true, first-person devotion, told in an informal, conversational style, that shares the ways God speaks to us in the ordinary events of life;
• a brief prayer to focus the reader’s own prayers and put the day’s message to work in his or her own life.
This year, we’ll have a new
• additional daily Bible reading—“Digging Deeper”—that relates to the day’s reading, for those who wish for more Scriptural depth in their quiet time.
In just five minutes a day, Daily Guideposts helps its readers find spiritual richness in their own lives every day of the year. And it makes them part of a remarkable family of readers and writers brought together by a common faith and united by heartfelt prayer.
Guideposts is a Christian ministry sharing stories and experiences that inspire your walk with God and spread His comfort to others.
For more than 80 years, Guideposts has helped people discover the hope that only God provides. What began as a single magazine founded by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and Ruth Stafford Peale in 1945 has grown into a ministry that meets people wherever they are with encouragement and prayer.
Through books, products, programs and more, we annually help 6.5 million people find strength in Christ and comfort in connection. Our long history of outreach partnership has made us a vital source of inspiration for veterans, caregivers, people in recovery, and more. We have a bold vision to reach 17 million people (5% of the U.S. population) by 2031. Together with our customers, outreach partners, and donors, we can make a positive change in the world— one story, one prayer, one life at a time.
I've been reading the Guideposts devotions for several years. The devotions are written by a group of contributors, many who have written for Guideposts for numerous years. They share personal events in their lives and you feel like you begin to know them. This year (2013) a Bible scripture reference has been added at the end of each devotion for additional reading. Usually the verse relates to the subject of the devotion, but sometimes it seems rather random.
DailyGuideposts brightens my day everyday. I read it along with my Bible & my daily devotionals. It is part of my daily time that I spend with God. I would be lost without it.
One of the best daily devotionals I have ever used. I loved the "gratitude" theme carried through the whole year, and space for writing a daily word of thanks.
Daily Guideposts is another of our constant devotional readings. The daily devotions run the gamut, and some don't reach us well as others, but we continue to buy each year's edition.
