Series Summary: Totally didn't like the idea and wonder why I chose these books again. Being a fan of fairytales I was looking forward to see what kind of twist but this is going to be one series that I am truly going to stay away from.

The children were snobby and the people no matter the age were mentally damaged. I mean who has ever suffered in life would hope their children would willing suffer the same fate just to be happily ever after? So wrong in so many accounts.

And the modern touch was interesting but the way the author made parodies and pans of it while also giving the story a "fairytale valley girl" touch just made want to cringe. This isn't the way fairytales are suppose to go.....

And don't even mention the shoe fetish that every character seems to go through *smh*.

Book Summary: The story had a bit more backbone than some of the other ones that are being used to introduce the book but just being from an almost different genre it is hard to see how Maddie is going to fit in especially since her friends are the children of Pinocchio and the Evil Queen, which doesn't seem to combine its own right. Furthermore as if that isn't confusing enough you have the fact that a Shakespeare character is also going to be thrown in (what is with modern fairytale writers trying to combine non-fairytale elements with fairytales?).

I liked the fact that she isn't at all disturbed by the wackiness of her dad and world but then again what can you expecting from the Mad Hatter and Wonderland? Plus if she grew up with that then she wouldn't see it as being silly as long as she was loved.

I don't know if I like the fact that she is going to be the pushy type in trying to make sure that everyone will have friends. Again all it comes to boil down to is can this character really work for this series?

The Mad Hatter and his daughter Madeline have moved from Wonderland, so she can attend high school. It has taken Madeline a lot of adjusting to get use to such a place where rabbits don't wear bow ties. She has to be by far my favorite character because she brings a very unique perspective to things as well as being a misfit currently.

I've been in a book rut and I love Alice in Wonderland. Recently a friend of mine bought me the Madeline Hatter Ever After High doll, so I decided to read her short story. It was adorable. I want more!!

An interesting creative story with an Alice in Wonderland theme.

I'm guessing that these need to be read in their order because it felt like I was missing some backstory.

Wow!!!

Of the books in this little series this is the best. It is more detailed and entertaining than the others. I like how the situation that is narrated develops, as well as the fact that it introduces a new character. It has a nice message and is completely in line with Maddie's personality. The detail that here we can see little details of her relationship with her father is also very good, it gives a nice and more familiar touch. It's almost painfully obvious the predilection that the author had for Maddie at writing this little story. Unlike the other books, she seems to have more brushstrokes of life, without thinking about the Ever After High theme so much, because the biggest flaw in this series is that the characters seem to have been born the day before... I mean, they doesn't have enough past, present or even personality, so that their life only revolves around a school.

A glimpse of Maddie and her father's life in Ever After. I like how it connects Maddie's leaving fro Wonderland and her life now (which we can see in the books and videos). This is some kind of clarification for me of what happened to Maddie and her father when they came to Ever After and how she coped with it

I read these to my daughter who LOVES Ever After High (It's okay but I have a few issues with the plot). These are really just short stories that introduce the characters before the TV show began. They are okay, but unless you've seen the show or are going to watch the show shortly, they don't give you much in the way of a fulfilling story.

Madeline Hatter's Story (Ever After High, #0.4) was a quick and easy read. It is a prequel of Madeline Hatter the daughter of the Mad Hatter before she leaves for Ever After High. Madeline is trying to live the normal world but she still has the wackiness of Wonderland. A great read.

So Awesome

I have most of the Ever After High books, but if you don't have the Storybook,it's the white one of the series, you should really look for these stories, its only some of the stories from that book, but for me, it will suffice till I get the other books!

Short but Sweet

This brisk, brief, and homey little tale from Maddie Hatter's point of view should appeal to fans of her character, tea, or Luna Lovegood. To be read in one sitting on a day when you're super busy but still need your dose of wonder.

Short

It was very short and left me worth sevaral questions. It also didn't describe the characters back ground much. Like why in the world was she in ever after if she's from wonderland

Too Delightful! 😍😍 I'm in love with the author's way of speaking, as if we're really interacting with someone from Wonderland! Enchanting and really brilliant! While reading I feel indeed inside a real fairytale good world 💯🌼❤️

Wonderlandtastic

I'm glad that they included the story of the Mad Hatter's daughter. Alice in wonderland has always been a favourite of mine, and I thoroughly enjoyed this small take on it. It made me want to read more of the stories by this author.
