3.5 stars. This series has a very low-key energy and subtle charm that makes it the perfect thing when you just need to not think about the real world for a bit.
The subtle slice-of-life story continues. It is very chill in its presentations and rarely do you have the "Ah Ha Wow" moment, but that does not mean it is not entertaining. I think I wish a little more was happening, but I am content with the series giving everyone beautifully rendered hair and small victories along with equally small challenges.
More goofy shenanigans this volume! A few school-themed ones, too. I think I'm enjoying it more, maybe it's gotten better or maybe I'm just a fan of how Natsumi is such a failure and she gets lots of chapters this volume.
Well, I stuck it out for three volumes to see if this would get better, but it is just too dull and unremarkable. This sort of gentle humor is better handled in Barakamon, Volume 01 and Yotsuba&!, Vol. 01.
