Running the Red Light by Kelsey Browning is a January 2014 Carina Press publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Roxanne has opened a lingerie shop with the apt title of "The Red Light". Her shop is located in the small Texas town of Shelbyville. She attends a charity fundraiser for a cause that is near and dear to her heart. She meets a lawyer named Jamie at the fundraiser. She never thought she would have to call upon him for his services. When Roxanne's old employer sees a write up about the fundraiser and Roxanne's lingerie is featured and her shop promoted, she sues Roxanne. Why? Well, it seems Roxanne signed a "no competition" contract and is now in breach of contract.

Jamie came from humble beginnings. He is now on the short list to make partner in a prestigious law firm. It has been his goal and dream to someday make partner, but he never thought he would have to sell his soul to achieve it. His boss has hinted that Jamie could be chosen for partnership if he had a wife. Not only that, the boss would really be impressed if Jamie were to marry his daughter.

But, when Roxanne calls Jamie to help her with the lawsuit, Jamie begins to feel more and more like making partner would be like making a deal with the devil and his enthusiasm begins to wane. In the meantime, he is completely taken in by Roxanne. She is hard working, smart, has a big heart, doesn't mind fighting for her dreams, and maybe she is also suffering from a disorder that many are too embarrassed to admit to, which makes her drive to succeed all the more impressive.
But, there are many obstacles in Roxanne's way. Her former boss, Ashton, is not giving up without a fight. She too is determined to prove she can be successful on her own.

With everyone is an uproar over The Red Light, hilarity erupts a time or two, there are a couple of really good cat fights, lots of steamy sex, a few hurt feelings, a few scrapes and bruises, second chances for love, family dramas, and a whole lot of good old fashioned soul searching that will bring about some life altering changes for some.

I loved this book. The small town of Shelbyville could be any small American town. There is a sense of community and caring that can be at times feel like an intrusion, but deep down you wouldn't have it any other way. I loved the character growth as Roxanne, Jamie and Ashton all matured and learned what really matters in life. I also cheered the author's decision to speak out about reading disabilities and how they can be overcome and worked around. Many people suffer in silence like Roxanne did. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Seek help and work hard and welcome support from family and friends. This was a well rounded story with a great group of characters you will care about and root for.
This was a wonderful novel that would appeal to lovers of contemporary romance and chick lit.
This one gets an A+

4.5 Star Review

Running the Red Light is the second book in the Texas Nights Series by Kelsey Browning. Roxanne is making a life for herself in the little town of Shelbyville running her lingerie business. She does this along with her friends Eden and Allie. If you have read the first book Personal Assets, then you are likely familiar with Allie and Cameron's story. I had not had the opportunity to read the first book and it didn't affect this story at all. Cameron's brother Jamie became a silent partner in Roxanne and Allie's separate businesses and when legal issues strike, Jamie can't help but assist Roxanne. Along the way, their attraction to each other takes off and we get their story in this book.

Roxanne makes for a great heroine. She is strong and wants to work hard to keep her business. Her work ethic is amazing. I also loved her because she is feisty in her fight with Ashton, her former boss. Ashton is a rich princess that is suing Roxanne and trying to takeover her longerie business.

Jamie makes for the sexy hero who I found to be frustrating at times. His career ambtions cause him to make some poor decisions. Despite this, he is good to his mom, and when it comes down to it, he becomes a man of character. We also see his soft side when we see Jamie's reaction after finding out about his dad.

I really enjoyed this love story as it was multifaceted. We not only get Roxanne and Jamie's story but we get to watch Ashton's character transformation. In her story, we come across Jessup who was probably my favorite character in this whole book. I loved the scene when Jessup and Ashton go ice skating. In addition to these endearing moments, there were also some really great one liners in this story which made it really funny.

So why not a five star rating?? Well, some things just went too fast for my liking. Jamie and Roxanne's transition from business partners to bedroom partners just happened a tad too quickly for me. Roxanne also jumps back into Jamie's arms too fast after she finds out his career and marriage plans at the Gala. It just seemed out of character for her. I also felt the ending was really quick and I was sad there was no Epilogue which is one of my favorite parts to a story. Despite this, the book was still great and I think it makes for a great story. I am looking forward to going back and reading about Allie and Cameron and I am hoping the next story will be Eden's or maybe even Ashton's.

Running the Red Light by Kelsey Browning is the second book in her Texas Nights series, and is the follow-up to Personal Assets. Running the Red Light tells Jamie & Roxanne's story. I loved learning more about these two! They're both strong, fiercely loyal, and terrified to show their true feelings. I swear, Jamie Wright just reached right off the page and snatched my heart up! I absolutely loved this book. Kelsey has done a wonderful job with character development, and I'm pretty sure I wanna move to Shelbyville! Running the Red Light has the perfect blend of heat and sweet. I laughed and I cried...I ended up liking characters I wanted to smack. ;)

This was one of those books that, when I finished it, I wished I could go back to the beginning and read it 'new' again. :) The Texas Nights series is undoubtedly one of my favorites. If you like your romance with attitude, you definitely want to read these!

Disclosure: I received an eARC of this book in exchange for my fair and honest review. I also purchased the book when it was released because I love it that much. :) My opinion was not influenced in any way. This review also appears on my blog.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————

I have never been so excited to receive an ARC as I was to get this one. When I read Personal Assets (Texas Nights #1) I immediately wanted more of Shelbyville and the amazing characters created by Browning. If you haven’t read the first installment, you can find my review here (http://gonnaneedmorebooks.wordpress.c...). It’s not that I wasn’t satiated after reading the first book, but I was so much in love with the town, the story, and the characters that I couldn’t wait to visit them all again and hear more of their stories.

Jamie Wright is the lawyer brother of Cameron Wright, the super sexy grease monkey of Personal Assets. He is driven, and when the opportunity arises for him to make partner as his law firm, he’s willing to do just about anything to make it happen. The problem is, the firm likes their partners to be settled, and settling means finding a wife. Not just any wife, mind you; a wife that the firm would deem a suitable companion for fancy dinners and galas.

Roxanne Eberly is the owner-operator of Shelbyville’s lingerie/adult novelty store ‘The Red Light’. She’s also Allie Shelby’s best friend …you know, the Allie Shelby who’s seeing Cameron Wright? Cameron Wright, brother of Jamie Wright …the lawyer who is also the silent partner in both Allie and Roxanne’s businesses? So of course, when Roxanne gets slapped with a lawsuit by her former employer, Jamie gets involved. Roxanne is an independent woman, and she doesn’t like to be rescued but, she eventually (albeit reluctantly) accepts help from the sexiest lawyer she’s ever laid her *ahem* eyes on.

There’s no denying that the chemistry between them is explosive, but Roxanne and Jamie both have a different plan. After all, it’s never a good idea to mix business and pleasure, right? …but what if pleasure is your business?

I can’t say enough good things about this author and her work. The plot lines (and the sexual tension) have a great sort of ebb and flow to them. One of the things I like most about Browning’s writing is that she has a knack for taking the characters’ budding relationships right to the brink, where you think ‘this is it! Finally!’ but then some sort of personal emergency or awkward interruption occurs and you’re left hanging, but in the best way possible. It just makes that moment so much sweeter when it finally comes around again.

I urge you not to miss out on this series. I’m already chomping at the bit for Texas Nights #3!

Kelsey Browning does it again with Running the Red Light. I was lucky enough to get a review copy from the publisher thanks to NetGalley.

I loved Roxanne and Jamie both as individuals and especially as a couple. The chemistry was so strong between Roxanne and Jamie, I really thought my kindle screen was going to fog up a few times. I didn't think I could love one of her heroes more than Cameron, but Jamie completely stole my heart. Even when he made me mad because he kept going out with the "appropriate" women for his job, I was able to give him a pass since I knew he really didn't want to do it.

Jamie and Roxanne really do try and fight their attraction for one another through much of the book. While I wanted them together from the very beginning, the sexual tension was so awesome between them. It was so worth the wait when they finally got to make love for the first time, and super hot!

I have to say the reappearance of Jamie and Cameron's dad kind of threw me, but I actually loved where Ms. Browning went with this part of the story. Loved that their mom was all over seeing her ex again and insisting that her boys needed to have their dad in their lives again.

Running the Red Light ended up being a much more emotional read than I had expected. I knew there would be plenty of sexy scenes and scenes to make me laugh out loud. I didn't expect to get so emotional about Jamie's dad and Roxanne being dyslexic. I figured out Roxanne was dyslexic pretty early into the story, but didn't realize how little support she had growing up until we met her father. I loved how supportive Jamie was and how he didn't make it a huge issue.

I love Kelsey Browning's voice and know if her name is on the cover, I'm going to be reading a wonderful story. Running the Red Light is a fun, sexy and emotional read and I highly recommend it.

Oh Jamie how I loved you, "sounded like whatever you wanted to talk about was important." Hell, he'd hope she wanted to talk about him taking her to bed. That would be a perfect way to spend his week's forced vacation." He's I just loved him, "I may have missed a few classes in law school," Jamie finally said, "but I do know shouting obscenities and tossing food isn't an effective defense strategy." He's just a man, "because there's no way I'd be able to concentrate." His voice lowered and he added, "I'd be too busy imagining taking them off you and effing you six ways to Sunday." Sometimes a man forgets certain things:

He mumble against her skin, "Tell me you have condoms."

Roxanne laughed. "In the fishbowl by the register."

He rocked back on his heels and stood slowly, unzipped and readjusted his di** for some relief. He grabbed a handful of condoms and zeroed in on the woman reclining on red velvet looking like courtesan about to seduce her favorite lover.

He feels hard for his woman, "by God, if Roxanne wanted to feel him up, they were damn well going to do it right." I loved this book.

I am a sucker for books and series set in small towns. The town Kelsey Browning has created, Shelbyville, could lie anywhere in the United States. It's a wonderfully drawn and detailed setting, almost a character in it's own right. All of the characters were engaging; multi dimensional with f=human flaws and opportunities for growth. The lead couple had chemistry and passion, the secondary characters were rich as well. The pacing was fast, almost too fast at times. The happily ever after was quite satisfying. This is book 2, but it could stand alone. I for one, will be reading the series. Well Done Kelsey Browning.

Yikes...I just realized that I neglected to leave a review for this book. Shame on me! What I'd love to do is rent a giant billboard to exclaim my love for this series! Honestly, Kelsey Browning is such an entertaining storyteller. She has a great sense of humor, and it shines throughout her characters' dialogue. Beyond the "romance", Running the Red Light is a great story about loyalty, friendship, and family.
If you love to read great romances, and you haven't started this series, you're truly missing out! This is book 2, so hurry and catch up now! You won't be sorry!

Another great book in the series. I loved Roxanne’s feisty personality with just enough insecurities to make her struggles real. Jamie is the up and coming lawyer who struggles in his own way between the demands made by his boss against his attraction to Roxanne.

LOVE the pun in the title--The Red Light is the name of the heroine's store. So she's literally running The Red Light. Fun and sexy contemporary, with an interesting treatment of an antagonist.

What could an up and coming attorney and a lingerie store owner possibly have in common other then their desire for one another? Opposites really do attract in the second book of the Texas Nights series RUNNING THE RED LIGHT.

After hotshot Houston attorney Jamie Wright invests in Roxanne Eberly's Red Light Lingerie shop, she knows she's got to keep her hands off of the former Shelbyville hometown boy. No way is she going to risk mixing business with pleasure. She'll just have to suppress her desire to jump his bones, even when a lawsuit against her has them spending much more time in close proximity. If her sexy and brilliant business partner ever learned her secret, Roxanne's pretty sure she can kiss both her friendship with Jamie and her burgeoning business goodbye anyway.

In order to convince his firm to choose him as the new junior partner, Jamie has been told, in no uncertain terms, that he needs a secret weapon: a wife. As much as Jamie lusts after Roxanne, she needs much more attention than he could ever provide with his busy schedule...plus she's not exactly the understated, dainty and polished debutante that would benefit his career. Roxanne both infuriates and arouses him in equal measure, especially when he's trying to get her out of a sticky lawsuit and her spitfire ways do nothing to help his progress.

But once the two of them admit their attraction, all bets are off as they struggle to deny the deeper feelings simmering under the surface. Jamie struggles to reconcile the request of his law firm with the fact that Roxanne is anything but the perfect partner's wife, while Roxanne struggles to keep Jamie firmly in the off limits category.

Like the first book in the Texas Nights series I've read, RUNNING THE RED LIGHT grabs you from the word GO and doesn't let up! The sparks between Jamie and Roxanne are immediate and ferocious, to be sure, but honestly I had a really hard time liking Jamie. I was kind of turned off by the fact that Jamie immediately dismissed Roxanne as a potential wife candidate because she was a showstopping sexpot instead of possessing an elegant nature and influential background. And while he is fascinated by her and wants to sleep with her and even protect her, he doesn't consider her up to his standards for a classy wife. He needs a Jackie on his arm, not a Marilyn, but he's fine to sleep with her till he has to make a choice of wife. And when he runs into his janitor father at a high class opera and is embarrassed and not wanting anyone to witness their discussion, it made me pretty angry.

Roxanne is a strong woman, a devoted friend and a business savvy entrepreneur despite being almost illiterate. I'm not sure what she sees in the seemingly pretentious Jamie, other than he's sexy and comes to her rescue. She deserves someone who will complement her fiery ways and not try to stifle her spirited nature. As all good romance novels do, eventually Jamie figures out his stupidity and comes after Roxanne, but even though they got their HEA, I'm still not convinced that Roxanne couldn't have done better! Ms. Browning did a good job of making Jamie both sympathetic and a jerk and although his roots won out in the end, he was really confused and conflicted for most of the book.

That said, the chemistry was really well done between them and completely believable. I loved the story line despite my frustration with Jamie's attitude and actions. All in all, RUNNING THE RED LIGHT is a great addition to the Texas Nights series and I can't wait to read more!

Roxanne Eberly moved to Shelbyville, Texas for a fresh start and equipped with a strong desire to shed her lackluster reputation and prove to everyone from her past that she can make something of herself. Upon moving to the little town she opens her very own lingerie shop with the help of her friend Allie. The residents in Shelbyville aren't to receptive to her store, but she's hoping in time they will start to accept her and what she has to offer them. In hopes of earning brownie points with them she attends a charity fundraiser that helps support local children with learning disabilities, which also happens to be something that is near and dear to her heart, because she too has struggled with a learning disability. While at the event she becomes a little more acquainted with Jamie, her friend Allie's brother-in-law and their silent business partner. She likes what she sees in Jamie, but feels that he is way out of her league, with him being a lawyer she figures he is more so suited to date a wealthy socialite. What she doesn't realize is that she will soon be needing this handsome lawyers services...

Jamie Wright is on the fast track to success at his law firm, and has recently decided to dabble in personal business by offering to be a silent partner for his sister-in-laws sex therapy business the neighboring lingerie shop that belongs to her friend Roxanne. And while he finds Roxanne attractive he knows they are in completely different social circles, his stuffy partners wouldn't take kindly to him dating someone who sells lingerie for a living. That doesn't stop Jamie though from admiring Roxanne from afar... that is until she needs to employ him for his lawyer services.

I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting this series and getting to learn a little more about some of the other characters in the series. This series is unlike anything else that I have read, which makes each new visit a refreshing change of pace for me, and each time I finish a book from it I am left dying to return!! I highly recommend you acquaint yourself with the clan from the Texas Nights series, they are sure to have you laughing and smiling the whole way through!!

Kelsey Browning’s Running the Red Light was released right as I was craving a romance that didn’t feature any of the current trends (think 50 shades of grey…) – all I wanted was a nice, mostly angst free contemporary romance and she totally served it up. I’d like to thank Jamie Farrell (who wrote Southern Fried Blues that I LOVED) for promo’ing this book on her facebook (and telling me that it could be read as a stand-alone). If you are currently in a bit of a slump and need a new author to try, I highly recommend Kelsey Browning.

I loved the fact that the heroine owned an adult store, but that the story itself wasn’t an erotic romance – which it could haven’t easily been. Rather, I found that Ms Browning walked a nice line between sweet and sensual, without every actually crossing it. Add to that a smexy lawyer, who has been friends with the heroine for several years, so it wasn’t a “wham bam thank-you ma’am” romance as well (i’m personally not a fan of insta-love – I like my characters to have a bit of history).

The whole labeling the heroine as “least likely to succeed” was an interesting approach because I think it says something about our society and how people perceive those labels. In particular, I liked how even though she had been labelled that way, that Roxanne didn’t let it stop her from reaching her goals in life and didn’t have an woe is me type attitude. I also appreciated how Jamie (the H), didn’t patronize her either when her issues became apparent – that is a personal pet peeve of mine.

I know that I will be going back and reading the first book in the series (Personal Assets – which is about Roxanne’s friend Allie – who appears in this book) and can’t wait to see how the rest of the series turns out. Overall, I gave Running the Red Light 3.5 stars, but rounded up to 4 stars. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cute contemporary romance with sexy lawyers and adult fun and games.

This is an outstanding book/series. “Running the Red Light” is the second book in the Texas Nights series by Kelsey Browning. I was the first given the wonderful opportunity to read the ARC of “Running the Red Light”, by Ms. Browning. First and foremost I have to say thank you very much. I immensely enjoyed reading this book. Ms. Browning does a phenomenal job bring the reader into the story and keeping them reading.
This is the story of Roxanne Eberly and Jamie Wright. Roxanne runs and owns a lingerie store in Shelbyville, Texas, and Jamie is her silent partner. Roxanne has worked extremely hard to run her business. She has learning disabilities that she hides from everyone, which has made running her successful business even harder. And now, her ex-boss is trying to take her business away.
Jamie has problems of his own. He still has problems regarding his father’s abandonment of his family. Because of this Jamie has become an extremely driven person, always trying to move up in the law offices that he works for. Now, one of the partners puts an ultimatum to him, to make partner he has to get married. The person he has to marry is his daughter. The problem becomes more involved when Jamie runs into his father at the opera.
Come read the story of how these two work thru their problems and watch how they fall in love. It is a wonderful journey to watch!

Thank you for reading my review. Happy reading.

Running the Red Light by Kelsey Browning is the second book in her Texas Nights series and was a fun and smexy read.
This is Roxanne and Jamie's story and they are two incredible characaters. Roxanne has overcome so much from her childhood. Between her dyslexia and her father, she has become one strong, independent and smart business owner. She may have drifted in college because of her learning disablity but she learned retail and marketing and she is top notch in her own store. Jamie growing up with an alcholic father who then left them made him determined to be the best. The man is a genius and he really loved the law. He's on the fast track at his Houston legal firm until he finds out that there is a "little hill" on that track called marriage. I enjoyed seeing them working together both on Roxanne's legal problems, as business partners and during renovations of the new business location. It was a lot of fun to get to know them better.

Kelsey also introduced a couple of new characters in this book that I look forward to meeting in the near future. The story is all about family, friendship and love.

I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Lingerie and sex toy shop owner, Roxanne Eberly, is making her own niche in Shelbyville as owner of Red Light Lingerie. She has a great customer base and support from her best friends but her love life is lacking until she takes on a silent partner: Jamie Wright.
The sexy Houston-based attorney is climbing the ladder and is on track to make partner in his law firm if he gets married per his boss.
When Jamie gets embroiled in a lawsuit filed against Roxanne by her former employer Jamie has to admit he isn't just hanging around to go over her case. He likes her sexy wholesomeness and her ability to take care of herself and he finds himself thinking a one night stand might get her out of his system so he can focus on finding a wife suitable for marriage. Little does he know that his life will never be the same.
I love the humor in this book, the female and male friendship bonds, the exuberance and familiarity of small town life, and the bonds that bring lovers together as only Kelsey Browning can portray in her second book in the Texas Nights series. I can't wait to read the next book!

Much like Browning's debut (Personal Assets), Running the Red Light was a very fun romance. Watching Roxanne and Jamie dance around each other before finally realizing what they wanted was great. Once again, Browning writes a sexy romance with great chemistry.

Surprisingly, I found myself growing to like Ashton over the course of this book, despite the fact that she started out as a shallow, spoiled bubblehead. I am curious to see how she grows in the future books. (I hope there are still more books to come in this series!)

The simply fact is that I truly enjoyed reading this book, and I look forward to meany more books from this new, but talented, author. If you are looking for a fun, sexy and charming small-town romance, pick up this series.

After reading Texas Night #1, Personal Assets, I knew I had found a new author who has a voice and style all of her own. Texas Nights 02, Running the Red Light is just as hilarious with some great one line zingers as well as being passionate and emotional. Cameron’s brother Jamie and Allie’s friend Roxanne are at the center of this book. Kelsey Browning has created a fascinating story as these two steer their business and personal lives.

The small town of Shelbyville, Texas has more than enough supporting characters but there are a few extras completing the story line from the big city. These help cement a tight storyline in which it seems that Jamie and Roxanne are opposite. Boy, do these opposites have attraction. Will they, won’t they while trying to further one career and save the business of the other. There is lots of fodder for this small town to discuss. Kelsey Browning makes small town life fun!

This is the 2nd book in the "Texas Night Series" by this Author. I loved the first book "Personal Assets", but Running The Red Light had me wanting to pack up and go to Shelbyville Tx just to watch the goings on! Jaime Wright, a lawyer looking to get to the top will do what he has to do to get there, even if that means marrying the wrong woman! Roxanne Eberly, is the owner of the Red Light a lingerie shop in Shelbyville TX which is also Jaime's hometown. The chemistry between these characters is undeniable.Legal problems for Roxanne brings Jaime to the Red Light, If this was a paperback instead of an ebook the pages would have caught on fire!! You will root for Roxanne and want to slap Jaime to wake him up. I can not wait for the next book #3 in this series by Kelsey Browning, you can bet it will be a scorcher!! And I will there to buy it on Release Day :)

From the moment Jamie Wright met Roxanne Eberly, he has wanted her. It doesn't help that her business is lingerie and he spends his time wondering what she will look like in it. Jamie, an aspiring lawyer finds himself in need of a wife, but the only woman he has in mind is Roxanne who is the complete opposite of what his boss has in sight for him. There is chemistry though and sometimes you cannot deny the best thing that has ever happened to you.

Very fun read. Roxanne is battling her own feud when she is sued over her lingerie line, Jamie wants to help but the emotional feelings from lawyer, business partner, and lover are just to overwhelming. Jamie knows Roxanne is not ringer material for a lawyer on the fast track, but it doesn't mean he finds himself lost in her when they are together. Both on different tracks, but maybe if they can work as one they may have a chance.

Intelligent lawyer with sights on partnership in a Houston law firm is attracted to a savvy business woman who owns a shop in his old home town. One of them wants big city living while the other prefers not to live in a big city ever again.

Roxanne and Jamie are both wonderful characters with chemistry aplenty. The issues they have to contend with deal with self-perceptions, expectations, personal goals, friendship, family, community, love and what is really important in life. Not one to give away plots in reviews I will just say that reading this book made me want to read the next in this series to find out what the supporting characters will do and who they will end up with.

Thank you to the author and her assistant for the copy of this book to read and review.

This is the 2nd book in the series by Kelsey Browning and it proved to be just as good as the first. This book focuses it's story around Roxanne, who runs the Red Light, and Jamie who is small town boy turned up-and-coming attorney. The heat between the two is palpable from the first interaction. Jamie needs a wife to complete his image of becoming a junior partner in the law firm, and Roxanne knows that she does not fit the roll, no matter how much she loves him. This book is about letting go of old dreams and grabbing hold of new ones..... and discovering what it
really is that you want in the first place.

Running The Red Light by Kelsey Browning
Texas Nights # 2
Running The Red Light is the second installment in the Texas Nights series by Kelsey Browning.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series titled Personal Assets. I felt that this book just couldn’t compete with the series starter.
Running The Red Light is a solid read with good characters and a filled to the brim plot, but I was expecting more. I would not go as far as saying that this second book in the series was a flop...

Running the red light is the second in Kelsey Browning’s Texas Light series. Each is a standalone novel but after reading one, you will want to find about the other characters from Shelbyville Texas.
Jamie is on the fast track to becoming a partner in his law firm until he discovers an unwritten rule to becoming a partner – a wife.
Roxanne is slowing making her lingerie shop a success in this small Texas town. She need Jamie’s help because she is being sued by a former employer.
They both discover they are attracted to each other but can they get past their own burdens and find a way to each other.
I think you will enjoy this love story as much as I did.

Fun book in a fun series

Fun book in a fun series

This is the second book in a series I hope will be continued as the two books h as 've provided me with a few hours of excellent entertainment. Both books have been well written with lots of fun and a lot of hoping for the best for the characters. The issues that the heroine goes through and overcomes are very true issues m as my people face and it shows everyone has to keep hoping no matter what they have to overcome. I love this authors work and will continue to look for books from her.

I loved this book this is the second in the Texas Nights series. After i finished the first book Personal Assets, I couldn't wait for the one to come out! I was not disapointed and you will not be either. Kelsey takes you right into the story, it was as if i was right there in Shelbyville with Jamie and Roxanne. I LOVED THIS BOOK AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.. YOU CANT GO WRONG GETTING THIS BOOK!..

This is the second book in the series and just like the first I really enjoyed the read. The small town of Shelbyville Tx has strong woman characters and strong willed HUNKY men! Roxanne is trying to save her Red Light Lingerie store from her former employer who is trying to sue her, enter hunky Jamie who lives in the big city and is a successful lawyer trying to make partner. Roxanne and Jamie are right from the start but have to overcome their own personal demons to make it work!

3 1/2 stars....

The heroine wasn't my favorite, and some of the plot seemed too contrived to be believed. But there were funny moments, and the hero was a good guy, soooo...I can see myself picking up another in this series and/or from this author in the future. This one just didn't quite work for me.
