Milesian immortal Chancemont LeBlanc is determined to avenge his sister’s death at the hands of the Dark Prince Pestale, who remains free after the war between the Seelie Fae and the Dark Fae. Nothing will stop Chance from fulfilling his mission of vengeance, not even the time barrier. The Queen of the Seelie Fae has other ideas, however, and she sends Princess Royce to make sure Pestale is captured, not killed. Royce would rather spend time with the human family she has grown to love, but she has broken the rules one time too many, and Queen Aaibhe wants her to grow up and act like the Seelie Royal she is. Royce doesn’t want to be part of Chance’s team. He most definitely doesn’t want her on his team. And from the moment they meet—fireworks. Chance has Pestale on the run, but after seeing the beautiful princess with the flaming red hair, Pestale has decided Royce must be his. A hunter becomes the hunted … purposes collide … in Through Time—Pursuit
Through Time by Claudy Conn Pursuit Series Chancemont LaBlanc is on a revenge mission. The Dark Prince, Pestale has to be punished for his crimes against the LaBlanc family. Trevor, Royal Prince of the House of Lugh, has joined forces with Chance for personal reasons as well. At one time the Fae and Milesians were enemies but now that their world and humans have been threatened they have know they must work together. Chance has no problems with women, he rather enjoys their company but not on a mission. He is determined to keep the wee princess from joining their team, but even the handsome Chance don't always get his way with womenC.
Princess Royce has a great fondness for humans. One family in particular, that she happened to break Fae law for. She feared what punishment Queen Aaibhe would give her but surprisingly she is sending her on the hunt for Pestale with her good friend Trevor. Only he-man Chance isn't so fond of a wee woman coming along with them, too bad for him. Royce may not be a warrior but there is much more to her than meets the eye. Unfortunately her glorious red hair and beauty has not gone unnoticed by the Dark Prince.
If you enjoy series and like to know the background story...I highly recommend reading the Legend Series first. Characters and situations have been carried over from those books that will make the adventures in this book so much more exciting. Especially the first glimpses of Chance and Trevor who entered into the last two books of the Legend series, Free Falling and Catch & Hold. **Sexual situations and language http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...
The review: At points chance would drive me nuts, and Royce and him together would make me insane. They both felt an immediate attraction that us the readers could feel. Of course we get to sit through most of the book with them fighting the attraction. (A roller coaster of emotions.) Claudy Conn also gives us plenty of action through the story. The villain, prince Pestale could also seem charming at some points then he'd do something evil and I'd hate him. (At some point he became my favorite villain out of all of Claudy's books.) Chance believed revenge was was the only thing he wanted throughout most of the book, but we then get to see that behind all the sexiness is a loyal and strong man. We have Aaibhe's and Lord Morgans relationship throughout the book. They seem to have a secret between them that intrigues all the characters. Again Claudy gives us another book that can take away your sleep.
I have one word for you, "IRRESISTABLE"!!! Once I started this book it was impossible to put down, and honestly I didn't want to. ;)
I loved the continuation of the storyline from the Legend series and was SO happy to pick up with the pursuit of Dark Prince Pestale. This story allowed me to re-connect with the world of the Fae while also introducing me to the land of Dravo, home of the Milesians.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Milesians, especially Chance, and I can't wait for the next book. I'm curious to see how the storyline progresses, and hope that there is more CHANCE, cause honestly he just radiates SEX!!!
This story, like all Claudy's books, is definitely a must read, that I strongly recommend. This one was beyond hot, leaning more towards SCORCHING!!
As always, thank you Claudy, for another great book!!!
I was a little bit nervous about this book because it starts so shortly after the death of Lana and that one really hit me hard. Yes, I really get attached to my fictional characters :). I was afraid it would be a bit morbid. I should have realized that Claudy is one of my all time favorite authors for a reason and she would not do that.
This story was an amazing addition to her Fae series. I love that the main characters included the Milesians. I was so fascinated by them in the Legend books and was doing the happy dance when I realized they would be more front and center in this novel. Once again, Claudy has a rich group of characters. I loved that their adventure included the magic we often see when dealing with fae as well as the wonderful addition of some sci fi elements. Of course she did not fail to include the romance.
I think you could probably read this as a stand alone and not have too much trouble, but I highly recommend reading all of her Fae series. This is definitely one of my all time favorite series!
This book starts off with a recap of the previous book. In the previous book we meet Chance. He is a milesian. I totally fell in love with him when he showed up dressed in leather fighting with swords. Very HOT!
Royce is a princess who favors humans. She interferes with a human even though she wasn’t supposed to. The queen decides to team her up with Trevor and Chance to help them find Pestale.
Chance has been through a lot and wants revenge. He teams up with Royce and Trevor to try to get that revenge. Will they succeed?
This book is sizzling smoking hot hot hot… There is plenty of action both in and out of the bedroom LOL
Pestale is becoming very strong and they have to stop him before he does more damage.
These books are incredible. They story line is fascinating. I really love how she intertwines the characters through each book/series.
The ending was magnificent!!!! Gosh I want to say more but I do not want to spoil it for anyone LOL
Milesian immortal Chancemont (Chance) LeBlanc is after the Dark Prince Pestale who killed Chance's sister and who is still free after the war between the Seelie Fae and the Dark Fae. The Queen of the Seelie Fae orders Princess Royce to help Chance track down Pestale. Chance doesn't want her and she doesn't want to go. Unfortunately for them they have no choice. The Prince Trevor of Lugh, who loved Chance's sister, is also going along on the hunt. There is an attraction between Chance and Royce early on. They track Pestale to another time dimension. Pestale sees Royce and now he decides he wants Royce too. You'll have to read the book yourself to see what the outcome is. It's a great book with lots of steamy love scenes. suspense and action. If you love the paranormal romances you'll love the first book in this series. As is her usual style, Claudy grabs you into the story from the first page to the last.
I was thrilled to realise that this book is part of my wonderful Fae series and brought back the horrid fight between the light and dark Fae and so many innocent humans that were nothing much beyond pawns in this battle .
I loved the twists and turns throughout this wonderful story with Princess Royce of the house of Nimrough, Chancemont LeBlanc (Chance) one of the powerful Milesians , Prince Pestale of the Dark Fae.
I could NOT put down this book from begining to end and found myself taking my ipad with me to make my meals , washroom breaks , grabbing my coffee's in fact anything I usually would be doing through out my day lol.
I know you will fall in love as I did again and again with all the characters that seem to be woven through this story and all the onces before Enjoy well worth the time to read . I highly recommend this for a read with or without the others of the series it is that good .
I love this book! This is the second book of hers I have read. The first being Hungry Moon-Quicksilver. I loved her writing style with Hungry Moon-Quicksilver, so I give this one a go.
She knocked it out of the ballpark!
I have not read the series this spin off came from, but it is added on my to read list. I am so glad I found this author! My to read list just keeps growing and growing.
Ok, really I love Claudy Conn! This is the next installment of her Legend series. Again, she does not disappoint. The book keeps you begging for more from start to finish. There were no slow spots or spots where I couldn't keep up, it was fast paced with tons of twists and turns.
Chance and Royce are amazing! I can't wait to see what Claudy has for us next!
Highly recommend reading the legend series prior to picking up this book as ties into the end. Once again I was so immersed in another of Claudy Conn's books I couldn't put it down and look forward to the next one.....
Chancemont LeBlanc wants revenge for the murder of his little sister Lana by the Dark Fae Prince Pestale. There is no time period or world that Pestale will be able to hide from him and his determination. He is joined by Fae Prince Trevor and Fae Princess Royce, the hunt is on! As it turns out Royce is his mate, when she is taken by the Dark Prince he will stop at nothing to save her and destroy anyone in his way. This is an exciting start to a great series. If you like action, magic and deep love between mates then this is the series for you. Pursuit
Book: Through Time-Pursuit Author: Claudy Conn Publication Date: 8/2012 Reviewed by: Tammy - http://booknooknuts.blogspot.com/ My Rating: 5 Stars
REVIEW: If you have read the Legend Series then you will know who Chancemont Leblanc is . If not let me give you a little hint. Chancemont is a Milesian Immortal . What is that you ask? There was a war long ago and his people ended up breathing in the dust of the Fae . Thus in turn has made them Immortals .. Now this does not mean they can not die . Chancemont is looking to avenge his sister Lana's death. She was killed by the Dark Prince Pestale. Chancemont and Trevor who is a Royal Seelie Prince are both hellbound to find and destroy Pestale. However the Queen Aaibhe has another idea . She has sent Royce who is a Seelie Daione Royal Princess and very young per say to join Chancemont's team although Royce wants no part of it and there is another issue Chancemont doesnt want her on his team either. So begins the battles between even themselves.. In order to win the battle Chancemont must learn to give up his thoughts of revenge if he intends to save Royce. And just what is happening between Chance's father and the Queen? This was a wonderfully exciting book so much action, love and loss.
I must have misunderstood what this book was about, but it was not my speed at all. The characters were like a bunch of oversexed teenagers more than powerful entities, and Chance's brogue being spelled out and overuse of "wee" and "doona" and "coom" were unnecessary and clumsy. I think I expected more pure fantasy than love story, and I'm sure for those who enjoy that it was great, because I see a lot of high reviews. For me it was just a disappointment.
Chancemont meets his lady love Princess Royce with Prince Trevor they go after Pestale the Dark Fae Prince that killed Lana, Chance sister and Trevor's lady love. Royce is trying to keep David and his family (humans she as cared for) from the Dark Prince who is using them as bait. Time travel is open to them and they are pushed back and forth. But eventually catch their man.
One of my author friends was pimping this book out so I decided to give it a shot because I thought it was going to deal with time-travel and fae. (Two of my favorite genres) However, I just did not enjoy this. It was a slow read for me. At times it was kind of stupid. I hate giving bad reviews but I just did not like it.
Another awesome book by Claudy Conn. Enjoyed these characters. A fun and refreshing combination of old world ideas and modernized versions of the Fae. I am looking forward to the next book that follows one of the characters from this story.
This is the first book I have read of this series. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It took a chapter or two before I got interested though. I don't think I will continue the series but all in all it's a good storyline and worth the read
Claudy Conn has another fantastic series started. her writting as always is excellent. her character's believable. her books will you thrilled from start to finish. thank you for another fantastic book!
would have given it more stars yet again she leaves the ending way too open. this was the last of a series of a series and yet still no full closure, so whats next another series in this series?
Light wins over Dark, love and passion over dominance and evil.
Royce, Chance and Trevor chase the Dark Prince. They are told to capture him, but Chance and Trevor want him dead. He is dangerous and obsessed with Royce, determined to possess her, with his dark magic. The book has a lot of action and the author gives good descriptions from location to location, so the reader can picture each scene. A captivating story with interesting characters.
An interesting plot and a new take on fae novels, from what I have read previously. It's unnecessarily crude and disturbing in places. The language and the actions. I found that ruined it for me, a little bit. It's not a bad read, though. If you're interested in UST and a strong but warm female lead, then it's definitely worth a shot.
Easy read as worthy as most supernatural shorelines. Holds the readers interested to the end. However, hoping for more substance in the storytelling and not fine myself questioning . . . Have I read this s before. So like the other novels
I may have come into this book a little unprepared. I thought this would be a full length story, but I believe this is a series of novellas that follows Conn's Legend series (beginning with Spellbound, if you want to start there), which I have yet to read. With that in mind, I thought this was a pretty intriguing, quick story. This book was about a member of the immortal Milesian race, Chancemont, and the Seelie princess Royce. I have heard that the Legend series covers Chancemont's background story in more depth. In Through Time-Pursuit, Royce is assigned to help Chance and the Seelie prince Trevor capture the escaped Dark Fae prince Pestale. Chance wants to kill Pestale, Royce wants to capture Pestale, and Pestale just wants to have lots of dirty sex with Royce and rule the world with her by his side.
This was a pretty steamy book. Pestale was pretty dark in his desires (what do you expect from a Dark Fae), but Chance and Royce were quite passionate and romantic. My main issue was with how Chance and Royce seemed to fall in love instantly. Seriously, there was nothing leading up to it. It was like they met and decided "hey, I'm a manly man, you're a pretty girl, we fall in love and have lots of sex now, yes?" And that was that. There really didn't seem to be any development of their feelings. At one point, Chance said something along the lines of "Oh, that's so Royce!" Really? You've known her for about 3 days and you've spent half of that time thinking about her naked or working yourself into a jealous rage whenever someone touches her... Please tell me when you had time to actually learn anything about her. Now, I'm not saying the raw attraction wasn't enjoyable (oh it was), but I would have liked their love to be a bit more believable.
The actual plot of the story (yes there is a plot behind all that lovin') was pretty intriguing. I always enjoy stories about the Fae and their hallows. I thought this world was well developed and Royce's special abilities added to the story. I expected time travel to play a larger role in the story (since it's in the title), but it was kind of a minor element; honestly, there was enough going on with the plot that I don't think it needed more time travel. The plot was quick but thorough, though the ending did kind of cut off in preparation for the next book, so you may be left feeling a little unfulfilled there. I had a bit of an issue with the dialogue... I thought it was a little cheesy at times, and some of the background information was forced, like Conn wasn't sure how to weave it in to the story. Overall, this book had an interesting plot, but the romance seemed a little rushed. As a novella, this was well put together, but it might be improved by reading Conn's earlier series first.
