“We’d been holed up in the Scottish countryside hotel for six weeks when the situation reached breaking point. The bus was running on gas fumes when we pulled into the Glenross Hotel parking lot and we hadn’t needed to venture outside into the continuous, howling blizzard since.” “Certain people in our group had too much time on their hands, with not enough to occupy themselves. Too much alcohol consumption led to arguments - arguments led to fights, which led to bad feelings, unresolved grudges and threats of retribution. The collective harmonious and collaborative atmosphere soon evaporated, replaced by an air of distrust and hostility.” “Our little group cut ties with the rest of the survivors. We were forced to go it alone, away from the hotel. We were faced with the harsh Scottish winter weather conditions in a perilous landscape, where hordes of hostile zombies lurked in every surrounding wood, field, village and building.”
“Left In The Cold” is the fourth installment of the “Left Series,” following the exploits of Brett Wilde, Smith, Batfish and Spot in their quest to find a safe haven in a post-apocalyptic world, where the dead have risen and seek to devour human flesh.
