MUCH BETTER THAN THE FIRST BOOK

This book is the next in the series Keeping Her In The Dark. I liked book 1 even with all it's editing issues, this does still have a few problems in that area but it's much improved.

After being kidnapped and sold to Liam at a slave auction, things between them have move forward. Liam and Norah are trying to make things work. He still has his control issues, but Norah is determined to get her own way. Gradually she persuades Liam to let her get a job, he's not keen but he gives in albeit reluctantly. Little did both of them know that this job would bring someone into close proximity to Norah who will threaten their peace of mind and Norah's physical well being. Nick is an old friend of Liam's, the trouble is he's always wanted what Liam has, that includes Norah. This has disastrous consequences.

I really liked this book it's a much shorter read than the first book. But it dives straight in to the story. It's packed with detail. The drama in this is very well written. But for me it's this authors characters that she excels at. There is a further book to come, I will definitely be reading that. Thankfully this does not end on a cliffhanger.

I have several issues with the book that contributed to my lukewarm feelings. I have already read book 2 and am not even sure if I will move on to book 3. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Small annoyance ... Liam is English - from London - but spoke with American grammar. The author should have just made him American or even Canadian if she couldn't pull off the British speak. The books had many many many many typos and missing words and misspellings. If I notice bad editing ... you know its pretty bad.

Liam and Norahs running hot and cold with each other all the time was annoying. Liam was reduced to a sniveling wuss and that's not sexy. For a savvy business man who made billions mastering the art of negotiation he didn't come off as very bright ... I know, if it weren't for stupid characters where would the drama come from? But Liam was a spoiled brat who demanded attention and wanted everything his way or he threw a temper tantrum, not a Dominate manly man. My alpha male book boyfriends would so kick Liam out of the Masters Club ... just sayin. Although Lord knows Liam could use a better set of friends than the ones he's got ... Oh and this guys who is so Dark and into the BDSM scene sure managed to turn vanilla for the gal he fell in love with.

Norah ... a mixture of strong and smart but terribly naive. She was also the luckiest Kidnapped woman who was sold as a sex slave that I've ever read about. Not too many women get away with abduction and auction to remain in captivity without getting raped.

Even though this was a Darkly themed book there was still too much light.
I've read a couple of Dark kidnapping type stories and always have trouble understanding the "Romance" but normally I can pass that off as StockHolm Syndrome. With Norah I think she really did fall in love.

Where do we begin???? I had no idea what would happen with Norah and Liam. I figured everything would end with rainbows and unicorns but apparently someone had something different in mind.

Here we go agin down this long path of how do we be a couple! The beginning was unnecessary and obviously overdone, no matter how hot it was. Norah has no spine when it really matters. I don't see how standing your ground leads you to orgasm in only 5 minutes. I'm just saying!

On the other hand, they are a very complicated couple. Things are never quite how I expected them to be. I actually get a little surprise every now and then. The thing that pissed me off the most is how unreasonable Norah was when Liam found her. I get it, honestly, but how can you repeatedly say how much you miss him and how you miss his touch and on and on, just to neglect the person who is killing themselves trying to help. Ugh why???? It contradicts itself.

OAN: It would have been better if we were kept in the dark about the kidnapper until Liam found the book. A little suspense goes a long way. Especially with Tiffany's wild assumptions being thrown around.

GRRRRRR.... Book 3, really?!?!?!??? I'm getting really pissed at all these series books, especially when I don't know there is gonna be another book. I purposely wait till I know the whole series is out to start so I'm not stuck with a big "what the hell?" but I didn't see on her list of books that there was a book 3 pending so I went ahead.. and then at the end of book 2 you get a big "book 3 is coming in the summer"? WTF?! Really?
The good about this book, I like the way Norah and Liam's relationship came together. I liked the whole Nick situation, I couldn't put the book down waiting for when Liam would be the night in shining armor and rescue her.... but now we have to wait to book 3 to see what happens, I'm sure Nick is going to come back into play since there was no closure to what he did.
Overall it's been a good series, it just sucks that I have to wait for more, if I even remember to read book 3, by summer I'll probably forget this series...

Well this one was just okay for me. I don't like Liam's mushy side, so it takes away from the story for me. I like my assholes to remain assholes throughout and felt Norah was wearing the pants most of the time. This concept doesn't work for me when I'm reading a dark book. I did like the sex club stuff, but the quick resolve felt fake and unlikely. Then the over the top angst Norah had with Liam after words was just unnecessary. I give it three stars for 1. Not ending in a cliffhanger (but there is a book three coming out this summer) 2. Have much better editing (but still needs major improvement in formatting) 3. Because I do love these characters despite Liam kind of turning into a pussy.

Liam and Norah steal my heart heart again in the follow-up to Sold. The twists and turns that they face help not only challenge their relationship, but help them grow.

Norah faces some intense obstacles but with the help and love of Liam, they find their way together.

Okay... this book was so much better than the first. More descriptive and emotional roller coaster. Norah is kidnapped by her admirer and he treats her like a dog. Poor Liam goes into a meltdown and goes into detective mode to find and save her.

This is a emotional read, with no cliffhanger, not like book 1, but a brilliant ending. Only wish they elaborated on the wedding more, then the author talking about in past tense.

Reading book 3 now "Betrayal", now that is getting intense...

This was a far different book then the first book which I liked very much. The beginning of the book was very disconnected. I almost quit because of the H's behavior because he was not like the guy in the end of book 1. The writing itself was very choppy. The book did pick up and got interesting when Nora got the job and Nick following her but everything went south with the abduction. It took Liam almost six days to seriously look for her?! I never felt his worry. He was no Dom and he was no alpha. She is abducted and he knows by whom and instead of calling the police he tries to find her himself for 26 days. Why? Because he doesn't want to go to jail! Her being raped, beaten, tortured etc., is nothing compared to him possibly going to jail. He is a wimp and has no back bone. His only concern is for himself. She sacrificed herself for him but he didn't do the same for her. I would of quit but I honestly wanted to know how Nora faired. No I won't be reading the third book. I like strong male heroes not submissive ones.

This book is so much then the first. It's a lesser book but that's great. there wasn't any parts in the story that didn't need to be there.
This books goes straight in it. There is a bit more action and Norah is not as annoying as she was in the first book.
Norah gets a job, Liam is not so sure about it but Norah learnt how to get her own way. A old friend/enemy of Liam Nick, comes into town and he his jealous of Liam and wants everything that Liam has. He has his sights set on Norah. When the opportunity presents itself Nick kidnaps Norah to make her his own.

This book is Much, much better then the first book and although this book does not end in a clifhanger it is still a good read and I believe there is another 2 more books in this series.

Liam desperately wants to control Norah, but can Norah be the type of submissive that Liam is looking for without loosing herself?
Liam has the power and the money, but does that cause him to have the ultimate power over Norah?

A constant page turner!

This one I could not put down, I just had to see what happened next.
This is an excellent read and it continues the story of Liam and Norah perfectly.

I can't wait to see how the story continues in the next book.

Spoiler :
Just a bit spoily but I have to say it.
She buys him another woman to fuck ???? WTF?!?! No, just no. I'm so glad he didn't go there and got upset. I don't like that he let so much time pass when she was taken and so much more could have happened to her. Ugh. This one was just IDK... Let's see what the next book brings

Norah went home to her family & tried to live a normal life but she missed Liam. Norah's little sister knows she is depressed & calls Liam & invites him to Norah's bestfriend's wedding. Liam is just as lost & depressed without Norah. When they are finally back together at Liam's house planning their future together Norah is kidnapped by a "friend" of Liam.

Adult content and dark

I enjoy dark stories and I liked this one, however I didn't love it. It does have complicated characters but I felt that some of the story and character choices were just too unreal to believe, which pulled me out of the story at times.
