Mia Renaldi's world is forever changed one fateful Christmas Eve, when her grandmother forces her to leave the house they live in with her mother and sends her back to her father in Maryland. Coming home to the small town of Madison, Mia does her best to adjust and see the bright side of this sudden event. Her father's family, the Renaldis, have plenty of money and status, and her father Michael is kind and loving.
The only thing she didn't count on was meeting Sean Morrison.
Charming and handsome, Sean draws Mia in like a moth to a flame. Though warned repeatedly by her family that he's dangerous, she finds herself pulled more and more to him and the mystery that appears to surround him.
But as she gets closer, Mia also realizes that not everything is as it seems, not only with Sean, but with her own family...
A tale of Nephilim, Foxes, and how two sides of reality connect, Feathers is the first volume of Sapphire Wings, introducing the Renaldi family and following their extraordinary journeys and self-growth as they seek to understand their place between the seen and unseen world.
My name is K.D. Peters, and I've been writing since I was nine years old. It has always been one of my favorite things along with art. My favorite subjects have always been in the realm of the spiritual and what may exist beyond the veil of mortality. Some of my novels, including the Feathers series, was actually written close to ten years ago now, but thanks to Amazon, I'm finally able to share them with a wider audience. I hope everyone enjoys them!
I was very pleased with this one.could see this becoming a movie. very good story telling.there were some nice twists I had not expected. the writer had a clean way of introducing a number of characters into it, without losing the integrity of the main characters. If I could have gave this five and a half stars I would have, all in all a wonderfully good read. interested now in reading the rest of the series, and seeing what else may be offered by this what looks to be a stand out, up and coming author down the road.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The description gives you just enough to grab your attention but doesn't give any details of what to really expect. I loved the development of the characters and the many twists. I highly recommend this book and will be purchasing the next book in the series.
