This actually hurt my heart. Their father daughter relationship was so sweet, and now he’s gone back to being cold and heartless. I hope things get sorted out quickly for all their sakes.
THE ENDING!!!!! WHYYYYY!!!! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A ROMANTIC WEBTOON!!! WHERE'S THE ROMANCE!???????? It was such a wholesome found family trip. ABSOLUTELY loved it 😭😭😭 so sad it ended 3 but glad there's a spin off. PLS READ IT ITS THE BEST!!!
Ho divorato l'intera serie in pochissime ore!
Like father, like daughter 🥹 She misses her old father who used to take care of her, and he knows he lost something very important when she escaped but doesn't know what it is, this is so heartbreaking
I'm so glad it didn't end right at the peak. But it ended shortly after it so I definitely have lots of quesions. But the most important question is; Why did Claude belive so strongly that he was bewitched even with all the proof that he wasn't? I get it that he thinks they all got bewitched, including documents but he noticed that his OWN spell was on the 'witch' so why didn't he stop? He even asked himself for a second if he went mad and instead of considering it any further he just tries to murder the 'witch'. Was a bit off for me honestly.
Except that I think this book is my favourite so far. All that action (but it's also the end of the 1st season). The emotions, sadness, blood, everything. It was so tense and dark this time and I loved it. Also the way Ijekiel cared for Athanasia even when everyone seemed to have turned against her to not upset/treason the king is so lovely. Athansia also said he didn't see something and understand it and said he didn't even though he saw it. And then he went to his father and said he doesn't want to only make rational decisions as he can't live with the idea of seeing Athanasia hurt and doesn't like when anyone is the reason for her hurt and that no matter what his father says he will be on her side. He is a keeper. If she doesn't marry him I don't know. (Especially as he always recognises her even when he doesn't see her face, I talk about the bird scene)
A little bit side things but Jennette showed that she truly cares about Athanasia when she wrote her lots of letters and also gave her presents even though she didn't see her. Jennette also protected Athansia of a threat while everyone else in that scene ran away. Say what you want but Jennette isn't selfish and I wouldn't worry about her betraying Athanasia.
Athanasia loves her father and she is really upset about his behaviour lately, which also shows on the way she talks and sits. Nice detail!
My biggest question right now is really; Why did Lucas react so odd when Athanasia said that they are friends? He literally responded with; Friends? And then later on he was still thinking about it. So either he didn't know he was so important for her and was genuinely surprised and happy or he sees her more than this which I as already said in previous review don't approve of as he is way older than her.
i absolutely loved this. athanasia was executed by her father in her previous life and now that she's back, she's trying to find a way to survive. somehow, in this life, athanasia got closer to her coldblooded father and they actually develop a father-daughter relationship. it's heartwarming to see how protective he became.
THE BEST THING THAT WAS EVER WRITTEN. WISH I COULD READ THIS AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME . THIS BOOK/MANHWA BROKE ME IN SO MANY WAYS I CANT EVEN DESCRIBE IT. definitely worth the time
I read this series online and now need to collect the physical copies. I’m curious if the epilogue/side stories will ever come to be as the creator notes stated that they would but I haven’t seen anything.
As a review of the completed series and not just the one volume I think this sits as a 4.5 ⭐️ if I could give halves.
I enjoy the twists/explanations of reincarnation into a novel verses regression plot that’s more similar to something like Dr Elise.
This one was tagged as romance along with the childcare isekai trope but honestly any romantic storyline for the female protagonist is very secondary to the plot and I personally don’t feel is concretely settled at the end of the main story. As the main plot is that of the FL and her relationship with her father I don’t think we need a solid romance. In something like Father I don’t want this Marriage that is a very good balance between her romance arc and her father daughter relationship arc. While there are a lot of similarities in the father/daughter arc between the two stories, this one doesn’t put as much weight on the romance but then the majority of this story is told while she is in the body of her childhood self. It would be icky if there was more weight on the romance.
I’m not sure why there couldn’t have been a more concrete conclusion to the love triangle as the story definitely favours the one ML as the end game but alas we are left with a “who knows what the future will bring” scenario.
As for the father/daughter relationship I think the backstory/explanation for his cold behaviour that resulted in her death in the novel is well explained and a justifiable one as me the reader to accept why I forgive him in the current life as redeemable. I think others I’ve read have the FL forgiving the father (or other family member) too easily because it wasn’t “them” that was mistreated in the previous “life” when I’m left unsatisfied because it looks like the only reason they are liked and survive in this life is because of luck or they made theirselves interesting or useful when really the father is trash and should just live the kid regardless. Thankfully we get more in this one.
I do wish that we did get a bit more in character development from the father when the plot switches him from cold to caring. We get the why and even some of his awkwardness as he adjusts and while HE doesn’t know that his actions led to her death in the novel he could be a bit more remorseful about the first 5 years of her life in this life where he was nonexistent. Its still good though and worth the read
4.5 stars Oh mein Gott, was ein Band. So viele Plottwists, so viele neue Dinge.
The artwork is gorgeous as usual, though not a ton of life in them - more like beautiful paintings. I do like some of her extravagant dresses, despite the over the top frilliness.
Amnesia, huh? Claude is going to be very regretful when he regains his memory. That being said, it’s cute to revisit his doting on her - like his preservation and private display of her drawings 🤭
I’m not sure where it’s going with Ezekiel, Lucas, and Jeannette. Her relationship with Jeannette is far from the original novel, and now the aunt has died, so…and then what’s going on with the guys? Lucas is not really ML material IMO, but it’s sorta heading that way.
*note for myself - I’ve since finished up to chapter 125, the end*

I just can't get why so many ppl hate Jennette :( She was just an innocent girl who tried to find a family figure for her. I feel poor for Jennette. What happened to Jennette was really different from the story before Athy reincarnated, but still, she never being an antagonist and still sees Athy as her friend and her siblings, and she also wants to help Athy.
I hope you can find your own happy ending, Jennette.
Just when it seems like things might be going well even if how Jeanette's situation will come to light is still a mystery, Athanasia's powers go wild during her tea party. Now Shadow is gone, her father has no memory of her, and now may be back to wanting her dead like the original story portrayed, and she's on the run with her own sorcery since Lucas is still off with the tree. That's a rather spectacular way to turn things on their head real quick, and not in a good way either.

➥season 4. what happened to my sweet athy??? claude really really has changed. i wonder if Lucas would have been there, what would happen then? Athy, my sweetheart, I love you ok, even if claude doesn't. I do.
I continue to enjoy this, and the art is fantastic, although I'm not sure I'm following the story particularly well. Maybe that's just that it's been a while since I read the previous volume, or it's leading up to something I don't really get yet? I'm curious what happens next with Athanasia though.
