Nath and Brenwar continue their search for dragons to rescue. After walking into a trap, the duo are forced to retrieve an object of power that a Necromancer was somehow unable to retrieve.

Dragon Bones and Tombstones really felt kiddy to me. I realize the series is intended for a young audience, but the first book was enjoyable enough. I was physically pained by lines such as this, "I bet you think I'll thank you, don't you, Nath Dragon? The truth is, I'd consider it if I weren't so evil and you weren't so good." That just doesn't work for me.

Nath and Brenwar are a goofy pair. I can imagine the target audience of kids to tweens would enjoy their banter. I on the other hand was wondering what I saw in the first book that encouraged me to read this one. It kind of feels like when you meet someone at a dark club and you've been drinking. In that instant the person seems quite attractive to you, but when you manage to see them in the daylight you wonder how drunk you were and how dark that club was.

Dragon Bones and Tombstones is intended for a young audience and I won't make the mistake of continuing the series.

I really liked that Nath Dragon starts to show some growth in this book. However, I felt there was some repetition in regards to the hero's thought processes. I gave this book 4 stars for being a page turner and the short chapters. All in all, not a bad book and can see why kids and teens would be able to relate to it. A great coming of age story!

Book 2 of chronicles of Dragon.
Dragon Nath and Brenwar are off to free as many dragons as they can all with Dragon not be allowed to kill anyone. Tough job since Goblins and Orcs can't be trusted not to kill you first chance they get.
Meanwhile that nasty snake woman and her minions have caught a bunch of dragons and are brewing up some nasty things with their parts. Dragon tries to help some elves along the way and screws that up. But at least he saved some dragons and did it well enough to change the scales on his hand!
Short story with minor typos but short chapters and fun and fast read!

I would give 5 stars if I were a younger reader, in which this story was directed towards. Personally, the first was better.

Love this series.

Nath Dragon is a mess. Lol. I love this series. One adventure after another. Nath gets embroiled to his chin and finds the most marvelous ways to deal with it. Action, adventure and humor thrown is makes a delightful mix. Will Nath get his dragon legacy and go home? I can't wait to find out.

Dragon Bones & Tombstone - Book 2 - Dragon Series

A good story but now I realize this author writes more for the younger aged readers. I enjoyed the story of Nath Dragon and all his perils with all sorts of nasty creatures! He needs to find and rescue dragons so he can someday turn from the man he is into a true dragon. Once again I did find the story long and drawn out. So much of the story involves lengthily descriptions of scenery, which became boring after awhile. The main character, Nath, is very whiny about the weather, his problems, the terrain and his not accomplishing his goal to please his father and turn into an acceptable colored dragon. There a few battles, but some are long and drawn out. Multiple injuries to Nath and his dwarf companion are mentioned but they bounced back every time. I am anxious for Nath to finally meet the evil High Priestess Selene!! On to book 3.

A fantastic follow up to the first book, if you have kids getting into reading fantasy, I highly recommend this series, a perfect series for all ages, Nath Dragon has been banished and he is not to return to until he becomes a fully fledge dragon by his father, Nath and Brenwar continue their mission of saving dragons and doing some good on the way and not to kill anyone unnecessary, Nath has developed a full dragon arm and in doing so can use the magical powers in his sword fang, still coming to terms by becoming a dragon bit by bit, Nath and Brenwar are still hunting dragon poachers, but they find them selves being the hunted, a cracking fun, humorous series with lots of action fighting the bad guy's, the sfx and narration by Lee Alan just gets better and better, what I love about these books, it's just easy to sit back and enjoy the ride, absolutley brilliant...😁⚔🐲

More Humor in this one.

My 14 year old son listened to this one and liked it but did say that the story wasn't quite as good as the first book. This one was quite a bit longer at just over 5 hours but it felt like the author was trying to stretch the story out but the humor that was added made up for it. These are great for kids into D&D, fantasy and adventure. There is no bad language, overly graphic violence or any romance scenes. Overall he really enjoyed it and is on to book three. I would say these are for the tween to teen reader.

The chronicles of dragon
Format: audiobook
Narrator: Lee Alan
This narrator has a good voice, easy to listen to and good delivery. He suits this series.

Bk 2: Dragon Bones and Tombstones.
Nath Dragon sets out on his quest to free captured dragons but he’s gonna need to curb his temper and listen to advice if he’s to find a way to lift his curse.
I wasn’t sure if this was going to be my kind of story but I find myself being drawn into the adventure. I’m looking forward to seeing what else Nath Dragon has to face.

Nath is the scion of a dragon trying to atone for having given into bloodlust by rescuing dragons from those who hunt them. He’s mostly human (except for one arm) and has to be careful about aggressively killing people while he goes about his work. It’s an interesting problem that doesn’t stop him from getting into a lot of fights

Nath is an enjoyable hero. His heart is in the right place but he’s so rash that he gets himself into a lot of crazy situations. I’ll read the next novel.

This one was longer with more twists and turns than the first. Dragons and curses and secret passageways...the narration is still a little cheesy, with occasional pauses to talk directly to the reader in real time and lots of hyperbole, but if you are cool with a little cheese then it’s a fun fantasy read.

Slight improvement from the first book in the series, but still too immature overall. The adventure was a little more interesting.

Nath Dragon

I’m so loving Nath Dragon’s predicaments. The struggle to do good deeds, the tuff love are all making him a better dragon/person.

I am not quite sure why I finished this book but I did. It took me forever and, bluntly, it is not all that good.

I found the plot very lacking and slow and the writing almost amateurish. It also needs a good look from an editor. When you have an error in the 2nd sentence of Chapter 1 you know you are in for a long slog-through.

Not recommended.

I definitely like this book better than the last. I'm glad I kept going in the series. This one corrected a lot of the errors that made the previous hard to follow. Still, I don't really find myself as invested in the characters as I normally am - probably more of a personal problem than anything. At least there's a notable difference between the hero and the villains now.

It is unfortunate that Goodreads does not list the omnibus for that is how I read these as one large book. So that is how I will be offering my feelings of this series.

First of I will say that book one is obviously a novella. Having said that it does what it was intending to do and that is introduce you to this marvelous world the Craig has made and an idea of what was wrong with it.

I had read in some of the other critiques that these books were meant for young adults I honestly enjoyed them. The plot was complex. The growth of the main character could go one way or the other through then entire book and you never knew which way. The fighting was well played out with not the good guy always winning but a flicker of hope still remained. For a teen this book is an excellent coming of age book to read. And even for adults, I see no reason why we cannot not enjoy the depth and growth within, for we are always charged with this type of charge every day in our lives.

I have enjoyed each and every one of these book and glad that I got them all at once and it is my hope that for any age you will find the courage that I found through these pages.

Introduction
Have you ever wanted to improve yourself and be better than you are. Nath has the same problem in this second installment of the dragon chronicles, Dragon Bones and Tombstones. In this fantasy novel by Craig Halloran we continue to follow the struggles that Nath faces everyday. If you haven’t read the first book The Hero, The Sword and The Dragons I suggest you do that first otherwise this book might be confusing….

I loved reading this to my son at bedtime.

This is such a great fantasy series to read to your little ones or for any older child that enjoys fantasy, dragons, adventure, and action. It can teach them many lessons; for example, patience. I can't wait to start reading the next book to my son. I really really recommend these books.

Fast paced. Lots of action. I really like that the hero has a realistic personality, flaws and all. The book ebook could use some editting but I do believe the author accomplished what he set out to do, so far. I can see a lot of young people getting in to this.

Bravo

Five stars to this author! This book was as fast paced as the last, from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down. I'd recommend this series to anyone who loves a good fantasy. Great imagination... potbelly elves? It's about time someone switched things up a bit.
