TRUSTING GOD WITH YOUR DREAM - A 31-Day Devotional for Young Women and Anyone with a Dream Can you trust God with your heart's desire? With the dream you've held onto for years without an answer? This 31-day devotional explores how we can share our dreams and fears with God, and discover that He cares and loves our dreams. Each day features Bible verses for meditation and a short essay for your personal reflection and prayer. If you've wondered if your dreams will ever come to life, you will find comfort in this 31-day devotional for young women as we walk together through God's Word. By the end of our month together, you'll find new hope for your dreams, and Jesus calling you into a relationship that will be a lifelong source of comfort and strength. From this day forward, while you're waiting for your dream, you'll know that you're not alone. Waiting is often when God draws us closest to Him, to receive the gift of His companionship. Instead of waiting on God to fix your life, you'll find that you are working with God to create the life He's planned for you all along. When you feel alone, don't God is with you. God loves you. God will never abandon you. Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, He will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes. Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, "This is the way you should go," whether to the right or to the left. ~ Isaiah 30:20 -22
I was born in Fort Lauderdale, attended the University of Michigan on an athletic scholarship for swimming and then worked on Wall Street. I left the bright lights of the big city fifteen years ago and traveled the world. I now live in the mountains of Colorado, where I pursue my dream of writing novels.
Loved the author's writing style, so open and accessible, and easy to relate to. The chapters were short and filled with scripture points. The book is laid out for a 31 day journey of surrendering your dreams to the Lord and helping you focus on praying for those dreams of your heart. This isn't a “how-to-have-a-dream” or a “here's how you get your dreams” kind of book, but is a daily encouragement of giving your dreams to God and learning to trust Him with them kind of book. :) It was a wonderful morning devotional for me.
This encouraging book has helped me through a tough time in life. Suzanne is a wonderful writer and is so honest about her own journey. I was so distant and angry with God and this book was an important tool that has drawn me closer to Christ. I will be continually coming back to this one.
This was a really approachable and easy to read daily devotional. For 31 days there are Bible verses and short reading which is totally doable. All of the readings relate to the topic of dreams and trusting God with those dreams. The author includes her own personal stories at times too which always helps to make a story seem more meaningful.
I enjoyed this devotional about trusting God with our dreams. I liked that she started each day's selection with scripture verses, and then talked about how to apply the lessons in those verses to learning to trust that God always has our backs. She made particular mention that while we are to trust and believe in God's promises to us, we should be careful to make sure that we align our will to His. I really appreciated that reminder.
I truly enjoyed this devotional. It was well written and an easy read. Not too long. Fit perfect for my wind down time before going to sleep. Really related to so much I needed to hear. Thank you!
This work by Ms. Anderson was personal and relatable. In many ways, it was as if I was sitting with her sharing a cup of tea while commiserating our current situations. I recommend this book to anyone who is feeling stagnant in life or faith.
For those that want to read a devotional each day and either can’t find the time or only have a few moments to read. Each day this starts with scripture (not sure which edition but it’s not KingJames) the goes on and has a page or two of devotional that goes with the scripture. There were several “days” that I shared with my grown children. Some were very nicely written to help you feel closer to our Lord
I found this book to be a thoughtful, heart-felt, little devotional. It was easy, understandable, and did challenge me on trust and such. I really enjoyed it overall. Each chapter started with a Bible verse, and poignant themes were discussed.
Trusting God with Your Dream was a worthwhile read. I'm thinking about reading it again! :)
