A doomed colony, locked in the icy grip of a merciless glom, teeters on the brink of ruin in the farthest reaches of deep space. Captain Dak Smith and the crew of the Archaea put their lives on the line in a race against an impossible deadline, on a mission that can't fail. As they struggle to accomplish the impossible, one crew member helps them push beyond the limits of what can be done, to do what must be done. In doing so, they learn that for her, nothing is impossible, and there may be no limits at all.
I am enjoying this scifi series as a nice diversion while in the stay at home mode. I like the characters, but everything is a bit too perfect for this crew and their AI. I got some laughs out of this book, always a nice add on!!
Update: I've been told by the author's wife, that I'm being much too hard on my amateur author reviews in general and that I should use a different star scale which does not compare them to great authors such as Asimov and Tolkien. Therefore I am increasing the stars for this book from 3 to 4.
