Volume 2 in the Alcantaran series. Why won't the Bugs leave them alone? All Ron, Gus and Tik wanted to do was to get back to their home planets to see their families. They wouldn't mind turning a profit on some trades along the way but when people threaten their friends and trade, they have a tendency to forget trading while they take care of the problem. It seemed like every time they turned around, the Bugs or some of their allies were threatening them or their friends. Maybe hitting them really hard one time, right where it hurt, would make them change their mind. That action took them to "The Key." Now, what do they do with it? Will it become a blessing or a curse? The Alcantaran Key is the second in the Alcantaran series.
A How to On Trading and Protecting the Commodities
The author had a lot to say on how to earn credits/bullion/dollars, etc. There was a dearth of shared experiences. The three beings in book one became a multitude in this book, each landing on a home planet of one, leading to more entities of storyline to follow. There was an awful lot of trading taking place and avoidance of unsavory characters trying to steal/take advantage of the riches of the s/heroes. On the other hand, with the addition of the family members and the scientists, there were too many characters to keep track of. Lastly, this reader would have profited more from more in-depth personal relationships, especially between the males and the females.
